Killer Idea- The Decay
The decay
Movement speed: 4.4 M/S (110%)
Terror Radius: 24 meters
Height: Short
Power: Inevitable rot - Your power gains 1 corruption charge every 25 seconds. Downing a survivor instantly grants 4 corruption.
You may use your power on any Survivor interactable object within 8 meters, spending 1 corruption, in order to make it begin to rot. This has no channel and does not slow you down to use.
All Survivor actions on rotting objects take 1% longer for every 2 seconds the object has been rotting for. Windows, dropped pallets and chests may reach 100% rot at which point it is claimed by the entity and survivors cannot interact with the object for the rest of the trial. You may rot an object additional times to speed up this process up to 4 times total. (for 2% per second)
All other objects are capped at a 50% decrease.
You may also spend 4 corruption to rot a Survivor decreasing their maximum movement speed by 0.1 M/S for the rest of the trial. You may preform this on downed Survivor. This can be preformed several times on a single Survivor but the effect caps at 1 M/S removed per Survivor.
you start the trial with 2 corruption charges.
Note: Rotting objects have an animation indicating rot progress.
Addons
Brown:
- Increases your starting corruption by 1
- Gain corruption 4 seconds faster
- Increases power range by 4 meters
- Increases maximum rot on most objects by 5%
Note: "Most objects" refers to anything that has a rot cap
Yellow:
- Increases starting corruption by 2
- Gain corruption 6 seconds faster
- Increases power range by 6 meters
- Increases maximum rot on most objects by 10%
- Rotting a Survivor decreases their movement speed by an additional 0.05 M/S
Green:
- Increases corruption gain from downing Survivors by 1
- Gain corruption 8 seconds faster
- Increases power range by 8 meters
- Increases maximum rot on most objects by 15%
- Rotting a Survivor costs 1 less corruption
Purple
- Objects rot twice as fast
- Survivors scream when interacting with a rotting window or pallet
- Rotting a Survivor reveals their aura for 10 seconds
- Gain 2 corruption every time a generator is completed
Red
- Rotting Survivors have their aura revealed from 4 meters away for each time you have rotted them (stacking up to 40 meters on each Survivor)
- Decreases your base movement speed by 0.2 M/S. Rotting an object or Survivor increases your movement speed by 0.8 M/S for 4 seconds
Perks pending.
The main idea here is to produce a certain kind of horror. Not the immediate fear of a jumpscare or even the lingering fear of the unknown. But rather the fear of decay, things getting worse over time.
Things start off easy enough, a 4.4 M/S Killer with no gap closer. But then the windows start turning into walls, the generators take longer and longer to complete and it becomes harder and harder to move. Pallets that seem safe become deathtraps until finally it's not so easy anymore now is it?

Seems interesting to me. I guess the background lore would be a leper or something.

I think there might need to be a cap on the rotting. Or a larger time to gather. Some of the slower games would make it possible to make the last few gens too hard to complete I think. But, like the other ideas you have, I like it.

There is a cap, at least on generators anyways. It's 50%.

So would it double the time it takes to do the generator?

Yup

And this could be done on all generators? Is there a way to get rid of the decay? I didn’t see one when I read through, but I could have missed something that would answer this.

You missed nothing. Doing this however would take a lot of time and would mean less corruption to use on other Survivors, Windows ect giving you harder chases. Especially because it has a build up period and you'd need to do this on each generator one by one.

I think this would have MASSIVE difficulty in survivors in late game. But I like it.

That's the idea. Having an inevitable but eventual threat like that was kinda the core idea behind this Killer. Something that gives you a sense of dread to face.
A more pure kind of horror than just surprise or even terror.
