PSA for Xbox players now that Chapter Update is live

When the game is ready to update, do not launch Dead By Daylight after getting the "Dead By Daylight is Ready to Start" notification.

Doing so will load up the game without any of your perks, items, add-ons, offerings, outfits, or trinkets (hook/belt) equipped, and they will remain unequipped even after the update finishes 100%. You will end up having to manually re-equip all of your things (for every killer and for every survivor).

All this time I thought that was a bug. I would get so annoyed. Maybe it is bug lol

    Thanks!

"I thought that was a bug... Maybe it is bug" - @Iceman

    We'll see.

All of my loadouts were reset to default when the Chains of Hate chapter released, and I suspected it was because I launched the game before it was fully ready. I then came here to the forums and saw someone else had the same issue. I had asked them if they had launched the game after getting the Ready to Start notification and they said they had.

This time around I won't launch the game until it has fully updated, and will see if that prevents the issue or if there is some other underlying bug.

i never bother loading a game up when it says its "ready" usually all that means is you can look at the main menu, like thanks game

The only reason I had for starting up the game early was to access and read through the patch notes while the update finished in the background, without having to find the console version of the patch notes here on the forums.

Now, I will read them here while the game updates fully.
