Question for Solo Queue Players
Let me set the scene, I solo queue in red ranks. We get into the match, I start working on the first gen I see. I see the obsession is being chased and complete my whole gen uninterrupted. Obsession is still being chased so I run to the middle of the map and start on another gen. I'm like okay my other two randoms should be nearly done with a gen now. They must've been interrupted (even though I noticed no progress on any gens I passed along the way), maybe they had done a totem, searched a chest, idk, but I'm at a whole gen and a half done by myself then these two people show up, meaning they hadn't been on a gen that whole time. (Literally obsession is still being chased)
My question is for these... special breed of solo survivors, what the actual frick do y'all do for a gen and a half's time if you're not being chased??

That's a great question. Few things in this game are more frustrating than getting chased for a good 2-3 mins without having single generator finished. Apparently some people in the red ranks go into hiding when they hear the slightest heartbeat, it's more common than I thought

Not red rank by a long shot but if I'm not doing gens it's probably thanks to a daily, tome, or achievement I'm trying to get done. I'm sorry this makes me a bad teammate at times but not much of a choice really. BTW trying to get that 60 seconds in terror radius without getting cought sucked butts --_--

So literally nothing useful. I was just confirming. So our teammate went down and for what. That just gets your team killed if the killer has half a brain.

I have all too often been the obsession from my story and the killer can feel free to chase me as long as they want because they are being given no pressure by my 3 teammates. I really wish they would make it harder for survivors to get to red ranks. Because most people do not deserve to be in there.

I got that one by playing claudette, throwing on urban and diversion, and offering a coldwind map lol.
I understand doing tomes or a daily, but I don't think I've ever had one take up a full two minutes of my time and also did not require me to make any game progress. They're normally something altruistic, do gens, or escaping the trial.

I had a match when all my random teammates was looping killer and I made all 5 gens from 0 to 100. There was a Bill which I saved from basement and I died trying to save him second time. He said in post game chat that I was useless to the team. 🤡

so... 5 seconds to get to the gen, 80 seconds to solo it, 10 seconds to get to the next gen, 40 seconds to get if half done...
The real question here is why are Survivors allowed to 1v1 the Killer for over 2 minutes without being downed, in a 4v1 game?

I run Bond most games so I can tell you this game is filled with survivors who mindlessly run around the map without doing anything. No matter the rank. It drives me crazy.

I used to run Bond for this lol back when I used to be a toxic ######### and run the killers all game (years ago though). The results were hilarious. They just hide in corners and Urban Evasion around the side of the map. I still catch people doing it (no bond anymore), it's hilarious. I get some games where I literally do 2 gens alone.
Although nowadays, if I have a promising team, I usually do the totems instantly so I don't have to worry about NOED and I can get my Inner Strength too. I usually save the last totem in an open spot so I can get another activation. Then I pressure gens like crazy.

I do sometimes do a specific build, like an autodidact build, but I do make sure to inform my team beforehand.

I had a pig chase me for at least 2 mins through hawkins. Not a single gen done. I get unhooked. Chase for another 2 mins. Still no gen done. I have no idea ######### people do in this game

Fooling around probably? Nothing really matters when playing survivor.

At the beginning of the game I do a quick totem search. Then I hop on a gen. Unless there is a chest nearby. I like to run Plunders so sometimes I do a quick run through and open all the chests. I'll usually get good stuff so it benefits the team later. I also run Detective's Hunch so before that last gen pops there will be no totems left on the map. In short depending on how things are going I'm preparing for late game.

Had a game the other night where I was THE ONLY person to do gens at all. Ended up soloing 3 gens inbetween getting chased, only for someone in endgame chat to tell me how they carried the team...

No. The killer was bad. They did 0 mind game and just ran straight. The real question is exactly what I posted. Why did it take over 2 minutes for two randoms to do anything.

I ran bond for a few games but I got so angry I had to take it off lol. The amount of survivors I saw running along the edge of the map...

Except that you're getting your whole team killed by doing that. How is there 2 minutes of stupid stuff for you to do that doesn't involve advancing the game at all.

Some of it is just over-cautious, hiding survivors.
Part of it is also some of the over-the-top tome challenges that require you to do silly, unproductive things.

I could see that but there were 2 of them that were doing absolutely nothing so what was one of them doing if the other was doing that stuff. Also in this match specifically the chests hadn't been opened, at least not all cause I ended up opening one later. I still saw totems up, and I had done two.

If i spawn by myself I ignore the gen in front of me. I usually totem hunt. I have bad luck jumping right on a gen.
Unless i see someone getting chased. Then i hop on a gen amd dont move.

Yeah people really be that way too. And of course if all you do it gens you're gonna end the match with like 7k points lol.

I'm just laying out what I do. I don't know what they were doing. If they were Dwight's they might have been trying to get his challenge done. Otherwise I guess they were urban evading around the map.

I got chased too, so my points were alright. Managed to WIN my chases and only used a single pallet the entire time, so had both Iri lightbringer and evader. Since I didnt camp every pallet on the map though trying for pallet stuns or farm unhooks... his points were higher than mine which was all the proof he needed that he carried me... Told him the only place he carried me to was a dumpster, lol.
