Getting more than sick!
Yo BHVR, I get you focus on pc so much but c'mon, Switch needs more love, I mean ffs, Spirit and Oni makes the game lag, Ormond is terrible, Hawkins too, the fps is just straight out bad, and now you want to make graphical update but can't focus on the Nintendo Switch, c'mon do it!

Shouldn’t the graphical update come with an update of the graphics Engine which would/should be more optimized on the different platforms? (I am not sure sure about this and genuinely asking)

That update sounds like a good thing, consoles got promised steady fps but currently the game still runs low like 20? Maybe 25 with the occasional drops

Because its inferior Hardware the people that own a switch should know that

It was developed and sold to people on switch, BHVR have a responsibility to provide an up to par product as best they can and you can't deby that.

And BHVR decided to sell their produce on said hardware. It is therefore their responsibility to provide a product that is able to be played. I'm not entirely sure how laws work in regards to selling video games but for all other products sold on the UK (where I purchased my switch copy of dbd) products be "Fit for purpose" under the Consumer Rights Act (2015), which does also include digital goods.
Having a game not work as advertised despite not officially cancelling support violates this law. Bearing in mind this was advertised at a solid 30fps, which the op complains it isn't. Bhvr should be aware of their own technical limitations and either optimise the game for 30fps or don't advertise it as such.
I am aware of the limited hardware and still bought the game on switch knowing the graphics would be sub par. I guessed the fps wouldn't be stellar but so many factors impacting performance is rediculous- everything you do basically breaks your framerate except running around on about 3 maps.
Having inferior hardware doesn't means a particular platform shouldn't matter. People still bought the game, let them play it as promised.

The fact that 3 maps breaks the game and also Oni/Spirit makes game lag is awful, their hair is the problems tbh!

TBH, Between overheating, graphic disappointment, memory limitations and joy con sticks getting thrown off caliber so easily Switch is my last Nintendo console ever. Playstation from here on.
