Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

New map gave me high anxiety. Didn't have fun. :(

Congrats on bringing horror back to the game!

It was so maze like and at least one room seemed to only have one exit. Ugh, and pyramidhead was there. At one point I felt like I was going to throw up. It got too much for me. In the end I hid in the basement cause I couldn't take the tension anymore.

Hopefully I'll get better on this map.

Actually, I even cried. I was embarrassed to admit it. But it happened.

Personally once the chapter relished I played as the new killer. I haven't play as survivor but for me was fine. I actuallylove it. You just need some time and also let's remember: Dead By Daylight indented to be a horror game

I wanted to see the new map but a survivor wanted to go to lery's.

I didn't mind because ph is really good at that map because of the windows.

I hate how they force new maps on us to the point i take a serious dislike to that map.

I can see why people are taking in map offerings. Quit boring us DBD.

well its obviously a killer sided map like most indoor maps. Survivors who want to win will try to avoid and only want to experience it as killer. Try to play SWF, this gives u better chance to get the new map

I'd like to see the new map but the Entity doesn't want me too :(

No one has burned any map offerings, and I've been to it once in about 6 games. I've been to Swamp and the Asylum and I'm not happy :(

Edit: I was typing this as I was loading into a match. Match loads and guess where I am? Asylum. Again. ######### this game.

After 5 games in a row yes, ive started using map offerings to get away for it.

God forbid they experience any of the new content in case they don't escape once. Just had a match against the new killer get cancelled because he brought a green mori as well

I hate the new map with a passion. The contrast is terrible, navigation is a nightmare and it's pretty big so more time running across the world to save people. Just trying to go from upstairs to downstairs is a nightmare.

Are team did a good job with it's atmosphere and design, I just hate playing it. I'd rather have the meat plant, which was my old least liked map.

I mean comptetitive people can still experience the new map but just when they play the killer role ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My early impression of the new map is that it suits survivors more than killers. It feels like there are lots of ways to Bamboozle the Killer, which I was able to do, from jumping ledges to floors below, and decent vantage points of the courtyard. As Killer it was trickier to keep an eye out. All those areas to duck behind plenty of objects and nooks, as well as the maze-like existence.

As I play it'll get better, but at present my survivor games are certainly a lot easier than killer.

I actually agree. I'm not the type to get scared really either. It was super tense. The amount of sounds going on also adds to it. The crying in the bathroom stall for example. You got bells, the sounds of chains. I was freaking out at one point. I just had no idea where the exit was. When the gen popped it looked like it was below me. Couldn't figure out how to get down at first lol. When I finally did,I still couldn't find it. I was actually panicking so hard I walked right over the hatch lmao. I was like "what's that sound...wait,where is it?!" I got a new 4K TV and the upscaling isn't great (still using a PS4 slim),but I feel like it makes it look actually dark like one would expect. They did a really good job on the map.

You'll definitely have that. I got it on my second match as survivor. I think the other Cheryl brought an offering. First match was Pyramid on Haddonfield. Was interesting. Yesterday I got Autohaven so many times you'd have swore it was the only map in the game. I think I saw two other maps in 6 hours. There's some I forgot even exist on occasion. Be nice if there was a better rotation.

It's my favorite map so far, because of how much variance there is in everything.

I've played a few matches on both sides, and it is a bit trickier as killer for sure. But once you learn it as killer, it's very balanced. A lot of places for both sides to take advantage of.

I haven't liked a single indoor map yet, and this one is definitely not an exception. Looks like I'll be playing offerings for other maps for a week or so.

I have yet to get the map as a survivor, but my first game as Pyramid Head I got this map. It was a tad confusing, but I think that played in my favor. I managed to get a 4K. Still getting used to PH's abilities, but they're pretty cool so far. Not having many perks yet kind of sucks too. I played with Discordance, Devour Hope, A Nurse's Calling, and Save the best for Last (All TIer 1). My Devour Hope went down in like 30 seconds.

It'll take some getting used to, I think. I still get confused on Lery's and The Game. I like it, though. At least from what little I've played it.

The map is awesome and scary. Not criticism at all. I didn't cry the 2nd time. So starting to get a handle on the horror.

I've only played it once so far and it took me the first five minutes to find the friggin stairs, lol (of course once I did it was a 'duh' moment). Obviously I didn't manage more than 1k but I sincerely appreciate the aesthetic, at the least. I got to really inspect a lot of it while listening to generators getting completed upstairs.

New map is definitely my new favorite map, without a doubt. Everything about this patch breathes new life into the game for me.
