The Good:
Removal of a feature that can be exploited in a toxic fashion
Less of a delay for killers trying to get survivors going for a unsafe hook rescue (for killers obviously)
Hooked survivors may have it a bit easier now in regards to being farmed by their team. The unhooker now has to be smarter to avoid feeding THEMSELVES to the killer and the not the other guy
The bad
It'll be harder for survivors to do a bold unhook against a camping killer
The Ugly
Now when I have a headache or agitated I'll have to endure Kate, Claudette, and FENG MING, etc's screams unless I remove my headphones each time

I would just say that because it's useless. I mean what's the point of smacking someone while is hooked?

Does this fix the issue of hits not registering when unhooking?

If u tap out of the game to anything else and get back any noise/scream will be skipped.

As soon as you hook them you can still smack them ONCE.
After that you can't, but they didn't remove the hitbox when they're being unhooked. So if you land a hatchet throw, or something ranged, you can still hit the hooked survivor when they're being unhooked and it will cause no damage.
I landed a perfect hatchet and it hit the unhooked survivor, nothing happened.
They just....cannot do it right.

I hope this is only a bug, as a survivor main i found getting the s**t beaten out of me on the hook funny. To make someone this angry they threw the game to beat me on hook was hilarious. Hope it comes back.

2nd, all it does is making camping stronger, u cant bait any hits anymore

I actually kinda like they did it now i don't have to worry about auto aim throwing me into the hooked one and i can actually hit the one trying to unhook etc.

What? Aww, I'm gonna miss whacking hooked EGC or last Survivors with max STBFL stacks.

I think I kinda remember devs mention something before silent hill chapter.
They actually remove it but put it back again because it make camper strong for not able to hit bait or something
