Is Pyramid Head a tad too fast?

I play DBD on PS4, and last night every single Pyramid Head we faced seemed like he was wearing jet powered shoes because he managed to catch up to us almost immediately in every single chase. Most of the Pyramid Heads too also only had level one perks exclusive to the character, so there was nothing like PWYF involved.

Am I missing something here? Did anyone else notice this? It seemed like he had a constant blood lust affect going on.

See that's just it though, I know statistically he only has 115% movement speed, but he managed to catch up with us in the midst of a chase better than any other killer. I'm a main killer myself and haven't had a chance to play him yet, but I've watched plenty of streams so nothing seemed off. But last night when I played survivor against him he just seemed to be incredibly fast. And everyone that I played with last night got that impression too.

Maybe it's just me, but it was weird.

He should have 115%, but it could be a bug too.

That's what we were thinking, but I know he has a long reach with that main weapon of his too. It was just interesting because no matter what we had equipped: Lithe, Sprint Burst, etc, he seemed to catch up in no time flat.

Nothing seemed off last night when I played against him from release early morning to late last night. His lunge is normal, his speed his normal in both modes, his reach is the same. You might be playing into his zoning too much and losing ground.

    Ps4 btw

Anything's possible. I'm certainly no expert when it comes to looping but I do okay, but I would go whole matches without ever being tormented and I still couldn't escape a chase. Like I said I'm no expert and no rank 1 survivor, but every match we played against a different killer I was able to hold my own without any problems. It was only pyramid head that was an issue.

I was playing as pyramid head and almost had to circle the upper level of the school to catch up to someone. He definitely doesn't move faster than anyone else

I honestly don't think he is, but I'll play a few more games in a bit and look into it. I think it's more your mind playing tricks on you. It happens with newer killers a lot since they have different walk animations.

I noticed that one was moving stupid fast but it could be a bug or just bloodlust. Unsure.

He moves at 115%, I've noticed no change in how quickly I catch up to survivors. His walk animation is probably off.

He is the normal 115% but he can zone extremely well and has no cooldown when putting his knife away and he can immediately attack. So he can dig his trenches and zone you to an area and put his knife down and immediately swing. It’s not like Huntress putting away a hatchet.

I believe you also get a very slight slowdown when running through his trenches (I think you do but I’m not 100% sure) so he may seem fast when you walk through his trenches.

I feel like it's his walking animation being slow that makes it appear that he is faster because your mind will feel like he should be slow.

This is the reason. Maybe you don’t even realize it but subconsciously juking just slightly left to right from fear of his ranged attack. So you’re slowing yourself down and as a result think he’s going faster.

The same thing almost turns Slinger and huntress into a 115% killer even though they’re 110, survivors won’t just run straight ahead in an open space
