Pyramid head is unrewarding to play against and partially as (Thoughts?)
Hey everyone, I've been playing against Pyramid head on the PTB and on the live servers and i find him unrewarding to play against for a few reasons, most are bloodpoint related and I hope that a insightful discussion can come of this.
Lack of Alturism points,
The main issue of why he is unrewarding to play against is the cages that's the general concencus of this discussion. Most alturism points come from hook rescues (not all granted but healing doesn't actually give you a massive amount) so whenever someone gets sent to the cage survivors lose out on 1500 alturism points (if hook save if safe) in compensation for 550 boldness points..? You can get that much boldness points for getting near him and walking away again it's so unrewarding in that regard to play against him because Alturism points are a big amount of the survivors "paycheck" if you would. Hopefully I explained that well
We're gonna live forever tokens
Another problem is that we're gonna live forever tokens are very scarce with him, you don't get one for saving a teammate from a cage where as you would get one for a safe hook rescue if someone was hooked. This makes the perk quite unrewarding in itself to bring since bringing it is a "risk" to begin with I use them quotation marks lightly so I don't offend anyone's eyeballs because you can do just fine with 3 working perks. To have that risk pay off even less then it already is seems quite unrewarding and unfair to those who bring tokens.
Additionally, if you try to take a protection hit and he uses his ranged attack it doesn't give you a token, making it EVEN HARDER to get tokens.
Another thing I noticed it's more down to how people play him is that it's really hard to get pallet stuns since most of them just respect pallets and wait for the drop so they can get a ranged attack, not really a big deal there's other ways to get your boldness points but it was worth mentioning.
Obviously these things are null and void if your teammates avoid the trenches he leaves on the floor of if he chooses to alternatively to hook instead but even if he uses the cage 3 times it's still a net loss for bloodpoints for survivors who if we are being fair here struggle to get as much points as killers in a gamee.
On the flipside even playing AS pyramid head can be unrewarding due to things like BBQ tokens (unless you hook first obviously) lack of sacrifice points because you get deviousness points from sending people to cages (unless this was changed) and the lack of points you get from using ranged attack.
I know that there's gonna be people who say something like PlAyInG tHe GaMe Is tHe RewArD, if you wanna look at it like that sure but this is more of a general look at bloodpoint potential from your average killer to pyramid head himself.
Let me know your thoughts guys and thanks for reading, take care.

I will only focus on the first point, because the playstyle (to avoid Pallet Stuns to get a hit with the ranged attack) is nothing wrong IMO and Perks should not work with Cages (and there are already discussions about that).
Regarding the points:
I have already opened a thread about that topic. And I simply dont understand it either, not only are the points only a third of what you would usually get, but they are also in another Category. Which is the easiest to get points in. I dont know what the thought process was behind it.
IMO it should reward the same points as Unhooking, as well in the same category. And if it is any different for Pyramid Head, it should award the same as Hooking a Survivor.

I'm glad I am not on my own on this one, I am not too concerned about killers respecting pallets that was more of an observation than a problem to be fair, it just seems crazy to me the way it works I am ending games with like 15kbp with escapes where I normally end up with anywhere from 22k-26k

As someone who was excited to play PH, I am extremely disappointed with him, and he is very unfun to play as. On PS4, when you use your trail, your sensitivity changes and you can't move from left to right, you can only hold forward and it is so annoying.

It's not that I am upset with his power I am more upset with general point distribution

For a second I thought you were going to call him unfun to go against or something. Because I've been having a blast playing against him and from what I've heard the PH players all said they liked him in the post game too.
But yes his BP leaves something to be desired. Would be great if they fixed that.

As far as BP goes, every new killer usually gets BP adjustments after a few weeks. I remember Pig use to get like 50 BP for landing a dash hit.

Sadly this is probably intentional. Some killers just earn more bp than others. PH just sucks to earn against

I agree - makes no sense to deny altruism from the cages. The survivor literally cannot ever escape from the cage on their own, how is it not being altruistic getting them out of there? One of the few complaints I've seen about PHead that I completely agree with.

I actually really like the point gain aspect of him. Despite what OP said, I get lots of BP due to cages and Final Judgement, but very low emblem scoring which is great for anyone who wants to make BP but not advance in rank to the more frustrating levels. It used to be that as soon as I reached red ranks I would equip Mori's and Insta-downs (iri Huntress) so that I would get decent BP while earning "Entity Displeased" and de-rank back to the less frustrating/more comfortable purple ranks, but with PH I can just hold myself at whatever rank I'm on because I consistently get "Brutal Killer" while still earning 25k+ BP. For me, this is a very useful and satisfying alternative to going full Rambo in the red ranks and de-pip'ing on purpose.
