Always remember licensed content can cost more due to profit sharing. Its also down to the licensee what they can and cannot do.
To give her another voice could be more expensive as its another character not just a skin which could mean a different deal made.
Skins are also an optional. If one doesn't like it you don't have to purchase it.

Add some tape over your screen and write Lisa then, jeez. They didnt bother adding specific names to which Legion character your playing as either. Considering that "The Legion" is the name of a gang and not an individual, its JUST as weird there. You wouldnt call an individual member of The Bloods by the gang name, so why do it for The Legion?

all offense but 15 dollars for a skin isn't a scam if people buy it. reminds me of warzone's nikto pack which is like 24 dollar, paying 70 dollars for a digital axe in valorant, etc. let alone a different character, I could buy a battle pass or a full game with that price lol.
for 0 dollars i can also farm games off of epic games store

I didn't bought it but... remember what BHVR said "You can play as an entirely different character", Legion with Nea clothes is still legion... just saying.
They said it when the PTB started, that excuse would work if you are intending to buy X license, if they said a year or so ago "we are planning to get Lisa's license so you could play as her" and then along the way they couldn't do what they planned, then sure, that's ok BUT... they actually had Lisa when they told people about it.

Not really, some cosmetics can be bought with shards. And if they can be obtained with Auric Cells only, at least we have an option to buy separate pieces. Lisa comes as a linked cosmetic. So that's the issue too.

Thats all about context and interpretation.
Lisa is in fact a different character in terms of being from Silent hill. So you can play as a different character from that series by using Cheryl's legendary skin Or cosmetic which is listed in the link below.
Now like all skins nothing else changes apart from appearance.
A full blown character in DBD always comes with a set perks. Its different than Steve and Nancy in stranger things dlc for example.

imagine you wanted a bag of chips. The coverage looks good, the words that are written on it are promising. You really want it. There's the issue, the one who made this bag of chips grabs it and waves it in front of you as if they were teasing you. The one holding tells you that you need to pay the astronomical amount of money for it. You gather a good chunk of money you had for these delicious chips you were looking for. You get them, open the bag and... Nearly the 2/3 of the bag filled with air and the chips themselves don't even taste good.
You get the feelings? We want to get Lisa. We are ready to spend money on her. The "bag" looks promising, it's the overall model and menu animation look cute. The "inside" part (the voice, the lobby name, the lore) is bad. I want the skin but I don't like how it was treated during the development. That's why I complain to begin with. And I have the right to complain about it considering the price.

most skins are $10, while DLC are usually 6-8, its insane

I mean, ngl, I bought it. I readily admit it's overpriced though and it's really just another skin. Nothing too special about it. It's not like her animations carry over into the game. So it's just a skin of another character, and should be priced like any other skin imo.
Hopefully BHVR takes this community feedback and learns from it. Perhaps once they're back in office, they'll consider adding voice lines.

As far as I know, they're still working from home. So if Lisa was a last minute edition, it would be hard to get studio quality voice acting. The other concerns brought up though (her name, lore) I'm pretty sure could have been adjusted at home. I'm not a developer though.

Off-topic, but... when I tried to purchase Lisa, for some reason my internet randomly disconnected the first two times, and the third time my laptop got an error and had to restart. Maybe this is a sign.
Also looking at Pyramid Head in the store, it takes slightly longer to load his clothes than his body, so for a split second I get to see him in all his naked glory. Too bad I'm too slow to get a screenshot...

You got Lisa and what she is is probably due to the deal that could be made.
Lisa was always stated to be a legendary skin.
The character themselves is not owned by BHVR and as such they may only be able to do so much.
Of course you can complain but have you considered what you want may not be something BHVR can actually do with the her? Licensed deals are not just down to what they would like to do but more so what they are allowed too.
Who knows it may change over time but like Bill on console or Freddy on switch its not a decision they can always make alone.

I really doubt Konami would mind adding separate voice acting for Lisa and making her feel like a whole new character. C'mon. I can see why they would chain clothes. But it makes no sense for them to dismiss Lisa this much.

Hope they fix her if it's something temporary like someone else mentioned here,i really like the Lisa Garland skin and want to buy it,but that "no unique voice" problem, prevents me from buying it,i really want to believe that she uses Cheryl's voice cause the developers are working from their homes instead of the offices,recording studio due to Covid-19 etc,but idk what to think,it's really, really, such a pity,

I never said every cosmetic, I said every character HAS a cosmetic thats more expensive. Literally every character with cosmetics has some that are auric cells only that are more expensive than the character.

They just need to make it say lisa when you play with the skin for me and if they can find a va to voice lisa then im game they said itd feel like a new character and it definitely looks like it i just personally think itd be nice to have it say lisa when the skins equipped but im game for a new voice as well.

I don't see exactly why it's more then a purple outfit, a change in character model shouldn't justify a full price when that's all it is, a different model. I don't get it.

Ya I was 100% convinced from BHVR that when you got a legendary skin it changed your name. So I assumed it would make your character into a different character with voice and animation. On top of the price and the laziness from BHVR. I wouldn't buy that crap if it was free 🤣
I've always thought that the cosmetics cost too much. Better games than this have cheaper cosmetics and a better turnout with purchases. BHVR greeds out too much and doesn't seem to realize if they were cheaper than this they would more likely get a lot more sale.

We can't know that.It might be possible that Konami didn't allow things like extra Lore,Voice acting and animations.
Don't forget,we never had any of those problems with the skins for other licensed characters.
Another thing you have to consider is that Lisa was probably another license that had to be bought first.Which is why the price is so high for that skin,they probably get something like 2 thirds and konami that other third of the money they get with selling this skin.
Even if the devs were allowed to do animations,lore and voice acting for lisa then the price would be probably even higher because of the amount of extra work they would have to do.
Regardless,it would still be nice to get an official statement from the devs.

It's kinda of a good thing. It's a cosmetic and not even a p2w one. I would be pretty pissed if it was that DLC that costed that much.
Enjoy that the game is staying in its normal price range. If people want to buy crappy overpriced cosmetics, that doesn't hurt the rest of the players' base.

Yeah, the whole €50 SH edition is a joke. They were banking on die hard fans to waste money for the sake of having classic skins. Keep in mind €8 for SH, €42 for cosmetics (4 of them are copy and paste different colour and are offered individually XD), if you have Clown and Spirit already.

that's a cashgrab if i know one, really ######### how it was implemented like i get you don't get perk (and new character will not need perk or special power wich expand the roster with duplica, wich is good in all sense) but at least give it a bio or something unique lol, like animation, voice, or power asthetic change (if they do killer). not just a overprice skin, we already have enougth of these right now.

Interesting to see how a "childish" thread was viewed this much times and this "mature" thread doesn't have as many views despite the fact that they both appeared at the same time and they both were on the front page for the a good amount of time.
However, this "mature" thread has more likes, comments and less negative feedback. But you can't argue over the fact that the "childish" way of showing concern had had a bigger effect on people.
