Solidarity does not heal for the correct amount.
Hello, it is I, the only person in the universe who actually uses Solidarity. Today I found out that this Perk is bugged and does not heal you the correct amount.
Now, for those of you who don't know what Solidarity does: If you heal someone else while you yourself are injured, you will heal yourself for half the amount you heal the other Survivor. For example, if you have 25% progress on your healing bar and you heal someone else from start to finish, when you finish healing that other person, your progress bar will have jumped to 75%.
At least, that's how it should work.
I don't have any video evidence, as I wasn't expecting Solidarity of all Perks to be glitched and preparing to record it, but I can describe the situation as best I can: It was a Nurse on Shelter Woods. I was playing Jake. The Nurse was running Sloppy Butcher. I healed a David from start to finish, then without letting him heal me, unhooked a Meg and fully healed her using We'll Make It. Now, if you self-heal for half the amount you heal others, that should mean that fully healing two Survivors will fully heal you, correct?
Well, it didn't fully heal me. When I finished fully healing the Meg, I was still injured. I went down because of it.
For reference, I healed both of these Survivors completely on my own, and I healed both of them from 0% to 100% progress. By all laws of mathematics, I should have been healthy when the Meg was fully healed, but I wasn't.

Yeah, this perk hasn't worked properly since release, which sucks because the perk already is pretty terrible on its own. But the bug stems from healing time, so the quicker you heal, the less % heal you get back. Honestly it should receive a buff of 75% conversion and actually work to be based on how much you actually heal instead of how long.

I'd be inclined to believe you if this bug didn't actually start affecting me until recently. All the times I ran Solidarity before, I self-healed for the correct amount.
Also, it happened again last night and both of the Survivors I healed took the usual 16 seconds with no speed alterations whatsoever—are you sure you're being legit with me?

I'm being Legit, that's been my experiences with it on the rare times I've used it. It also used to be a problem with Second Wind (but they fixed that perk to actually work), so maybe a completely different problem came out with this perk. Again I use this perk very rarely so it could be a different reason for the bug now.

I made this too. It got acknowledged.

So that's three bugs we're counting now. Not working when holding shift, not healing the correct amount to start with, and there's also a bug where fully healing while you have Iron Will will deactivate IW and make you give off injured sounds until you finish healing.

It's entirely possible those first two bugs are the same thing. If you hold SHIFT for even a small amount, you won't get heals for that small bit. So for instance if you hold SHIFT for half the heal, you'll only get a quarter of your Solidarity.
Solidarity works perfectly fine provided you do not hold SHIFT. It's just that you're more inclined to hold SHIFT because if you have Solidarity, you'd more likely want to heal the survivor first before they heal you. This may result in the first little bit of Solidarity not being awarded.
I can assure you, if BHVR fixes the SHIFT bug, Solidarity will work perfectly fine.
Luigifan64 is incorrect about healing speed having an effect. Any and all perks affecting direct heals DOES work with Solidarity. I have used Autodidact, Botany Knowledge, We'll Make It... No One Left Behind. These all increase healing speed and actually synergize quite nicely with Solidarity. These have no effect on your Solidarity yields, I promise you. Only holding SHIFT does.
I also do not know anything about how Solidarity affects Iron Will. I have not noticed any adverse effects.

I wasn't holding shift.
