So...pallets are kind of useless against Pyramid Head

Pyramid Head's ground attack happens far too fast. There needs to be more of a build up, like what's there with the Doctor's static blast. Because right now throwing a pallet down is almost a guaranteed hit for Pyramid Head based on how fast he can unleash that attack.

Not really. I've gotten pretty good with pyramid head and I still get ######### sometimes by pallets. Survivors will see a bit of a red line right before you do the attack for one. And if they see you go into your power they instantly assume you about to do the ground attack and gtfo. You just have to be able to think ahead and make sure you actually stun him with the pallet. Pretty easy to get around. Not that op

Don't run through the pallet if he's looking at you from behind while his sword is in the ground.

No, it's not. The only similarity is that the survivor is guaranteed to get hit if they lock themselves in the drop animation if the killer has winded up.

No it's not the same - one is ranged, the other is an AOE. Try ducking his attack.

Pallets are not a safe zone against his attack. No. You can't drop it and be fine.

Listen for the very loud stomping of his knife into the floor, he's starting a trail, you should be watching his trails already if you're both at a pallet or loop unless it's a god pallet.

If it's a god pallet he's going to try and lane you in which case just run from side to side and watch here is facing. His head is a giant pyramid so it's easy to tell where the front is facing.

If it's not a god pallet then try to bait him into a lane. Lanes actually have a start up-the trail start- there's also a brief pause when he makes the attack-he's also stuck in an cone like aim and turns odly- so keep an eye on that for tells. Finally he unleashes the lane which dosen't come out right away and travels at a moderate pace. It feels faster because at pallets there's like 2 feet seperating you.

If you simply run away in a zig zag most of the time any average PH is going to struggle to get a lane hit. They will fail and between the attack cooldown, you running away and the pallet break-if it's god loop- you had like a total of 7 seconds of distance. Maybe more.

Failed lanes actually have a considerable cooldown. At least in terms of the importance of time in a chase. You will always gain decent distance for each failed lane attack if you just run away.

If you're throwing a pallet down while he's in trail mode. The answer is don't put a pallet down while he's in trail mode. That's the build up for his range attack. Only do it if you can get a stun out of it. Loop him once then run off. His trail has a limit.

totally agree his ranged attack is bs that he can use it literally ever 3 seconds there is no looping a good PH

Maybe stop throwing pallets without thinking and use your survivor brain for once 🙄

Just drop it early. His power is easy to dodge if you see it coming.

I can say for every Punishment of the Damned I got hit by I dodged probably 9 others.

And that hit was probably me just being stupid or predictable.

If you NEED to drop the pallet do it as early as possible so you aren't locked into animation if he has to activate his power first. If not just move in a unpredictable path to dodge then continue running because he now has to suffer a missed attack cooldown.

Well, that's why i said "essentially". You can't duck his attack, but you can either reaction dodge or reaction DH it. That are the main differences to huntress. If you got problems at pallets against him you got bad reactions.
