My Killer Tier List (PS4)
S – Overpowered
A – Strong against any team
B – Strong against some teams
C – Situational killers
D – Performs poorly
Fps problems were taken into account, but add-ons were not. Do not be surprised that console controls shift certain killers so drastically across the tier list. There are no S tier killers because I don't believe there are any. There are no high Bs, low As, etc, therefore the left-right orientation of the killers is irrelevant. Here's a 'brief' explanation of each killer's placement:
Pyramid Head: His barbs give info if stepped on and allow the negation of DS, unless survivors avoid/crouch through it. His ranged attack is only strong at certain loops and against predictable survivors. He also has a situational instadown. His built-in mori wastes little time.
Oni: The sooner the first survivor is injured, the better. His tendency to instadown and move far distances quick while in his ability is very good. His attacks while in his ability can be dead-angled by survivors (console controls make it even worse). While in his ability, survivors stop dropping blood orbs which is a small downside.
Ghost Face: Exposing survivors is very good, especially when you can 99 them for later. His stealth ability makes his stalking and chasing power extra deadly. His being broken out of stealth by survivors is inconsistent for both sides.
Pig: Her crouch makes her stealthed, and she can do it at any time. It also gives her the ability to dash attack. Her head traps are extremely useful in slowing down the game, and sometimes they can even kill survivors.
Freddy: His terror radius is different and can allow him to surprise survivors. On top of that, he has a draw distance. He can have snares or pallets, both of which help in catching survivors at loops. His ability to teleport to gens is extraordinary, besides the cooldown at the beginning of the game. Thrown in with everything else, he can also put survivors to sleep.
Legion: His frenzy is used to injure multiple survivors in a short amount of time, and it also gives info. He can also vault windows and pallets while in frenzy. Using your basic attack also depletes some of his meter. Besides that, he's a very basic killer.
Wraith: His cloaking ability makes him invisible while motionless, and nearly invisible while in motion. He's a decent stealth killer but his bells gives an early heads up. He moves faster while cloaked, but slows down while uncloaking. Windows can give him a hard time, but his speed out of uncloaking helps.
Doctor: His static blast allows him to find survivors easily. Once in lvl 3 madness, survivors are robbed of many actions and scream until they snap out of it. Doctor's many madness effects disrupt survivor gameplay (fake pallets, weirdly placed skillchecks, etc). His shock increases madness and if timed properly can prevent the vault or pallet drop. Against experienced survivors, the anti-loop aspect of his shock loses some of its effectiveness. Playing this killer causes fps problems.
Myers: In lvl 1 his terror radius is practically non-existent, but it's used more for stalking than sneak attacks. Lvl 2 makes him a normal killer. Lvl 3 makes him move faster & instadown survivors. On average, you'll get 2 downs from his lvl 3. Stalking for the lvl 3 is effective but time consuming, and smart survivors will break line of sight as much as possible.
Spirit: Her ability is one of the best in the game, granting far distance fast while also being invisible. She has to rely on sounds to find survivors which is hard due to sound bugs and Iron Will popularity, and smart survivors will start walking and drop pallets to confuse her. She is hard to flashlight while breaking pallets. Outside of her ability, she's a basic 110% killer.
Deathslinger: His projectile is fast but requires a good aim. Failing to reel the survivor in time will break the chain and stun you, even though it gives an injure and a deep wound. A successful reel grants the same, minus the stun. Unlike Huntress, god shots are usually not rewarded. You have to reload after every shot, making misses devastating. He's also 110%.
Trapper: Trapper unlike most killers requires set-up. The setting up of his traps takes time, which will cost him gens. In grass, his traps are well hidden. Maps with no grass make Trapper much worse. If placed around loops his traps can shorten chases drastically. There are many items and perks survivors have to help see his traps. If found, his traps will be disarmed in the amount of time or less it took to set them. He can only carry 1 trap at once. DH can be used to dash over traps. He has strong basement game. He can get caught in his own traps. The time to get out of a beartrap for survivors varies wildly.
Plague: She negates healing, healing builds, and healing items. Her vomit infects people and things, and when fully infected survivors are broken. There are fountains around the map that can cure survivors of infection, in exchange for giving her a very strong ranged attack. Coordinated survivors will either all cleanse or none of them will cleanse, denying you of your upgraded power (besides the initial one). She feels slow, especially when charging her vomit.
Hag: Her traps are a powerful anti-loop tool. Like the Trapper, she requires set-up. Crouching will not trigger her traps and flashlights will destroy them. Teleporting to traps halts her momentum and smart survivors will completely avoid her attack out of teleport. Smart survivors will trigger all her traps when she is carrying a survivor. Once one trap is tripped, other ones that have been tripped cannot be teleported to. She is hard to flashlight while breaking pallets. She is 110%.
Hillbilly: He can move across the map very fast. Although his instadown chainsaw is powerful, it isn't guaranteed. Unless you're a curving master or the survivor is bad or outpositioned, you won't get the chainsaw off on them. Good survivors will force the Hillbilly to M1 them, especially at windows which he is weak to. Many loops make it harder to chainsaw survivors. Hitting an obstacle will stun you.
Huntress: Her hatchets, while bigger and less aim-dependent than Deathslinger's harpoons, are slower and can hit obstacles easily. Even the simplest of loops can be game-ending, because she might not be able to throw over and will take a long time to catch up to the survivor otherwise. L2 is an unnatural feeling shoot button. The effective strat of hatcheting point blank is weakened by survivors running inside you (made worse by console controls). She's a 110% killer.
Clown: His bottles do little to help catch survivors, unless they play loops greedily. He's countered by dropping pallets early. Throwing and reloading bottles make him unbearably slow. His bottles for anti-loop are worse in every way than Freddy's snares. He's loud when vaulting, destroying any attempted vault mindgames. He's a basic killer.
Demogorgon: He can make portals that he can use to teleport across the map, but it requires set-up. Survivors can destroy the portals. His looping ability is limited to lunge mindgames which good survivors can juke even when they played the loop greedy. His lunge can hit survivors at windows where you otherwise wouldn't get the hit. His portals need space to be placed, and the game will refuse to let you place them in certain spots. It's a somewhat basic killer.
Leatherface: He's notorious for being one of the simplest killers is DBD. All he has is a chainsaw attack, and a very weak one at that. Revving it will cause you to slow down dramatically, so you have to be sniffing the survivor's hair before you're really in range to start revving. Letting go of the chainsaw a second too early will cancel the rev and not give you the attack. Hitting an object with his chainsaw puts him in a long stun. Windows cripple Leatherface even more. The best he has going for him is he's the best face camper in the game, and has the strongest basement game. A very basic killer.
Nurse: Although a god on PC, Nurse is borderline useless on console. She takes the most practice to be good with out of any killer. If you misjudge where the survivor goes, misjudge the blink range, blink once too many, held the 2nd blink too long, etc, you will not hit the survivor and be stunned. She must completely predict where the survivors will run, or she will never get hits (console controls are another nail in the coffin). Her only upside is ignoring traditional looping. She is yet another 110% killer.
