Play with friends broken - ps4

On ps4 when inviting a single friend to play with me as a survivor, the invited party did not appear in the lobby of whoever did the invitation. But they would see both of us in the lobby. We both could not click ready at the same time. When one of us select ready, it would 'unready' the other player.

This happened in both directions, on both of our consoles.


We also tried to make a custom game as 1 killer vs 1 survivor and had the same errors with disconnect.

    This is still happening, however I wanted to add that if my friend closes his game and reloads it we can pair for a game. However, after the game, we are kicked out of one another's lobby and he has to restart the game again for invites to work. It doesn't work if I restart my game, so it must be on his side?
