FIX DEATHSLINGER TERROR RADIUS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BHVR!
Fix his BLEEPING Terror Radius with a hot fix or disable his ability to run M&A. It's absolute nonsense. Enough is enough already.
It's bad enough you don't hear his TR when he is at a far range and can hit you because his range is map-wide, but to have literally no TR is ridiculous.
Long-term, if you want to keep these stupid custom terror radius songs, they need to ramp up like the original one does to show proximity. They do not right now. It's as bad as supposed change to TR songs to show whether they are above or below you on The Game map -- that does not work at all.
Get it fixed ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude. Calm down.
His shot range is only something like 14m, where M&A turns his TR to 16m.
And a lot of people are also saying that M&A isn't that great on him, and his most optimal builds don't need it.

Awww has someone not realized the sound prompt when you are being aimed at yet?
Or how to look around while they're holding M1?
Shame...

What a cutie.

Uhm... Calm down my man.
His range is 18 meters.
His TR is 24 meters because he's a 110% speed killer.
As i can see, you are kinda new at this game. I suggest you to play AS Deathslinger, so you can understand him better, he isn't really that strong.
You don't have to hear his TR to be able to spot him. When you are playing against Ghostface or Myers, what are you doing? You have to look around while working on a gen.

I've had no problem in playing against DeathSlinger, and everyone I've played against runs Monitor & Abuse, because it's such a strong perk on him. He's got an 18m range on his power and he's got a TR of 24m as standard which reduces to 16m with M&A, he's also tall and moves at 4.4m/s instead of the standard 4.6m/s of some of the other killers.
It's a matter of learning to play against him and have some map awareness so you have an idea of where you are coming from and not run in a straight line away from him, keep objects between yourself and him so that you can break that chain.
As with Stealth killers, the strongest weapon you have at your disposal is your eyes - and I'd suggest playing as the killer to understand how to play against him better.

Um. Its not that hard to tell when hes near. If you even hear his TR at all, he's most likely close to you.

Ehhhh gonna have to agree with OP on this one- M&A on Deathslinger is too strong. His TR needs to be widened since he has a long range game. I imagine this is why you can hear Huntress hum from afar, so if you get sniped- you have no excuse.
4 -
Huntress has a considerably longer range than Deathslinger, though. If you raised Deathslinger's TR, it would probably make M&A mandatory on him since otherwise the Survivors can get an early enough warning on him that it would take him forever to get within range to shoot.
1 -
I agree, it's personalised music makes it very difficult to tell if he is near, and MA makes it even stronger. He needs to be changed, his music needs to be clear when he is around, he is not a stealth killer, it does not make any sense
3 -
Nothing too crazy- maybe devs can bump it up to 26 meters.
0 -
That's barely a change, though. Having his M&A terror radius be at the very cusp of his gun range vs. slightly less than it doesn't mean much.

It's probably because unlike any of the other killer, Deathslinger has a ranged attack, so he can be more stealthy with a 24 meter terror radius because his weapon has an 18 meter range. If killers have to run up to survivors to hit them, they have a bit more time to react to the killers terror radius. Slap on M&A and you have the potential to hit and pull survivors to you before they even get to hear your terror radius, which can be really good.
One of the positives of Deathslinger which I personally wouldn't want to see changed of course.

I was thinking compromise but ok- let him join the 32 meter club then lol

They could be on to something. I literally crouched next to a Deathslinger and there was TR at all.
Then I wasn't sure because I noticed his music is extremely low in the beginning, like there is almost no music when you enter his TR.

Spinechill?
Premonition?
Object of Obsession?
Using your eyes?

Writing something in all caps and adding a bunch of exclamation marks is not going to force people to listen to what you have to say. Most of the time it actually has the opposite effect. It comes out very obnoxious. Thought you should know this. Best of luck.

A 32 meter TR with an 18 meter range cap for a 4.4 m/s Killer is not a good idea. What he probably could use instead is a less subtle TR music.

I agree I think his music is what needs to be tweaked.

Imma just drop here the same thing I say to anyone complaining about Stealth builds/Spirit: run Spine Chill. Learn what it means under certain scenarios when it's active. You use it right and against the right Killers and Spine Chill can essentially be a slightly weaker Whispers.

If they aim at you and have a shot a ringing sound goes off. It's how I tested him in KYF for distance and whatnot.
1 -
I'm just curious, there is a sound cue when he's aiming at you? If yes I never noticed.

Half way across the map? 😂😂😂 I WISH! More like 18m. And with monitor you still have time to know he's coming. Just be an ass and run spine chills. Kills all stealth/sneaky killers, but that's fair though.. 🤷♂️
1 -
Incidentally, it takes him less than a second to aim his gun. I would say that is probably not enough time to react to a sound prompt. Also his terror radius can be reduced to 16 meters, 2 meter's less than the range of his gun.

His range is 18 meters max.
0 -
Ghostface/Myers don't have a ranged ability.
0 -
Two meters either side isn't that bad. It's kinda hard to get exact statistics on half of the killer powers.
Point was also that M&A reduces the TR to about the same as his shot length and mainly that it's a good perk for him, but better builds don't use it.

Apart from huntress, none of those killers have ranged abilities. And huntresses terror radius "works" better. That dumb custom music he has doesn't seem like it's based on proximity. Also huntresses terror radius can be 16 meters, but her lullaby is much longer.

Huntress has infinite range insta damage..huge difference...

The issue isn't necessarily M&A. His terror radius in general is screwed real bad. That dumb music he has doesn't feel like it's proximity based like a heartbeat is. And what makes him worse than huntress is while his terror radius is 24, her's is much longer because of her lullaby. So on a killer with infinite ammo and a short reload you have next to no warning before he shoots you. I'm not saying he's OP or anything. I just agree with the original post that his terror radius does need some working on.

Here's what I say to ALL people who say similar things: If you increase his TR, then you may as well increase his shot range. His shortened TR reflects his slower movement speed and the fact that his shot is almost at his base TR distance.
I get what people say about his particular TR sound though, and while it is annoying, it isn't that bad. Admittedly the furthest music needs a bit of work, but once you're within about 15m of him, it's completely fine.

You all wanted custom chase music for every killer and they gave you non directional crap LUL

This, and the fact that unlike all other killers in the game, he has a whopping 5 separate slowdowns just for using his power:
Blade wipe, successful hit or miss reeling, cooldown, reload, and aiming.
The most any other killer has is 3, like GF for example:
blade wipe, crouch, and stalking.
And the majority of other killers have 2 slowdowns:
Blade wipe, power use/power cooldown
With Deathslinger, an already slower than average movement speed killer with a limited ranged attack, its actually absurd that he has so many slowdowns in comparison to all of the other killers in the game, and because of that, his kit is far too lenient on survivor teams. To be good with him you have to nail every shot you take with his power or the survivors will get away while you are reeling your missed shot back in, on cooldown, and reloading. Every time he uses his power he ends up giving up more time for the survivors to accomplish their objectives regardless of whether or not he succeeds in his attempt. Huntress just slows down for blade wipes and when she winds up a hatchet, and she can actually down survivors from across the map with a good aim, whereas Deathslinger has to be much closer, hit with his spear, and spend up to 5 seconds slowed down while reeling in the survivor just to do some damage to them. Quite honestly, if he didn't have a lower TR, he'd never even get close enough in range of survivors to attempt to use his power in the first place let alone pursue them.
