Tunneling people with "toxic" in gamertag?
I play on Xbox 50/50 and I have noticed that quite a lot of people have "toxic" in their gamertags, and these people are mostly t-bagging and stuff. So when playing killer I have started tunneling players who claim to be toxic players.
I'm thinking that people who have these gamertags is proud to be toxic, and even if they are just fooling around I think when you call yourself this then you must understand others will react to it. They look for this reaction and wants the confrontation. If they were "normal" players they would not call themself toxic this or toxic that.
Right or wrong?

I mean, the best way to respond to toxicity is to be nice back imo. I personally wouldn't do it, but if that's how you wanna play go for it.

Idk why but on ps4 the ones with "toxic" "sniper" "assassin" etc in their name seem pretty chill usually. I watch out for cutesy names like "muffinprincess" "fluffykitten95" or whatever, that's when you're getting a last second flashlight switch with a haddonfield offering.

The only reason I pay any attention to gamertags is to try to see if I should expect a SWAT SWF Team (and even then, the only thing that will do is have me bring a Mori; I won't actually use it until SST is confirmed).
I treat everyone the same during the match unless you specifically do something in game to me to convince me otherwise.

Omg, I am a ps4 player and I have seen tons of people with "toxicnea" "toxic" or "toxicno0b3" in their names, and to be honest, they are some of the absolute worst survivors out there, they can't even loop well, and they fall for very easy mindgames. You can also read these survivors like a book, because you can tell they are going to run DS, deliverance, borrowed time or unbreakable. All in all, I might tunnel them sometimes, but most of the time I don't feel the need to.

Now just Imagine seeing xXToxicAssassinXx in your lobby hovering above a Jester Dwight with a flashlight! *cold sweats* I’m pretty sure I would lobby dodge, even as a survivor! (Btw, this is a made up name to make a point. I’m not referring to any particular person and apologize to anybody who actually uses this name.)

I had to change my username at one point cause it had toxic in it, i wasn’t even toxic at all and killers would tunnel only me and bring a mori because of me.

I don’t pay attention to names or lobbies. Only Claudettes. They must be tunneled (excluding the ones in fancy colorful dresses, I may even spare you).

I created a second account, and called it Toxic Survivor. Whilst I'm a strong survivor, I rarely ever t bag, spam my flashlight, and is always respectful to the killer post game. However, the name was just an inside joke with my friends, as I made a lot of killers DC.

Often times I find the people trying to draw attention to themselves are going to be the strong loopers. So I save them for last if possible or they prove otherwise. I've not found a name that made me want to tunnel someone though.

If you focus on the "toxic" bit, and it affects your play, then they've already won. As @Deathslinger said, just don't pay attention to names. They're all meat at the end of the day.

Because toxic as a term for trollish griefers is something that came in more recent years, and people have names from years ago, referencing other games or abilities and hadn't decided to change them. Like in Halo when it says TrappinMan was killed by X, someone might have made their GT a toxic fart for laughs.

Anytime i see toxic gamertags or racists they get the t bag ghostface face camp with the mori. Contrary to what people are saying the massive amounts of slur filled messages and party invites full of screaming rednecks leads me to believe this is in fact not what they want lol

I wouldn't say it's right or wrong. People could have "toxic" in their name for a number of reasons, but if you have a reason to believe that you should tunnel them, like it might be easy pickings or something, then go for it. Nobody can tell you you're wrong for that. Would I say it's right? I wouldn't necessarily say that either.
