THE WRAITH - Bells going off the entire match
Never had this happen before and I'm pretty sure this isn't a new buff or perk?
During the entire match his bells kept going off. At first I thought I spawned near him. Then when they kept going off I thought he was just messing around. Finally I gave up and just went to work on a generator and he wasn't anywhere nearby. Sure enough someone got hit and down on the other side of the map. Bells still going off. The entire game I had no idea if he was about to uncloak or not I was sweating my balls off the entire match. I'm going to have nightmares now of just bells. Ding, Ding Ding DING DINGDINGDINGDING!

He’s using a clapper so it’s a global sound, and he’s mashing his ability button for a speed boost. I’m pretty sure that’s exploiting by the way.

I don't think he gets faster while cloaking. Oh and he has no such clapper.

This makes the sound global. Great for just annoying the crap out of survivors that pissed you off ^_^

Does that make it global though? Yes, you can't discern the distance, but I thought it was (without the clapper) getting quieter the more you were away from it. However, my first sentence still stands.RuneStarr said:@popoles said:

However, my first sentence still stands. You used to get a small speed boost spamming the bell, idk if it was an exploit or if it's since changed since they seem to have removed the uncloak curve this patch. I've seen people say it's global now, I haven't seen it 1st hand because I haven't had a single killer besides spirit since before the patch -_-
It better be, I want to be the most annoying bing bong ever, I have my plan set and will be super disappointed if it was all a lie.0 -
Only way to make the distance ambiguous it has to be global. Anything that isn't unlimited in range is quieter the further you are until you can't hear it.popoles said:

I played vs Wraith last night, it definitely sounded global. Could here him cloak/uncloak but it always sounded like it was extremely close, even if he was nowhere around.

It's a build called "Battle Bong", it's a meme build and it has been made popular by streamers. As others have pointed out, it's an add on. The point of the build is to confuse and annoy the survivors. The problem with this build is Wraith doesn't benefit from his recent buff, Windstorm.

This applies in real life, not in a video game. I'm pretty sure the sound is still limited to a 24 m radius.

Let's test it, lemme know in a kyf of you can do one with someone0

[in Morgan Freeman's voice]
But little did Jimmy know that the bell he heard was not a glitched Wraith bell but actually a hallucination caused by a massive brain tumor. Poor Jimmy, he didn't know what was about to hit him.

Well dang! It's annoying as all hell. And I can say confidently I believe it's global because it always sounded like it was right by me the whole damn match! We still did alright, but playing a whole game hearing bong bong bong bong bong go off in your headset the entire match is a bit unnerving! I'm sure going to see a lot more Battle Bong players to come. I'm going to try this myself now and annoy some survivors!!!!!

I think you’re correct, but I’m wondering if they meant that the radius would be the same but the volume for the bell is the same at the edge as it would be by the source. So I think they were considering not being able to track if you’re almost out of range or if you’re right next to him. It would cause you to panic possibly and run in a direction that might be towards the killer.
