PC killers play like scums
Damn I made the switch from DBD on xbox to PC recently and the killers on here play like scum. I thought the community on here would be less toxic than xbox but it's probably worse. All of my matches today have been tunneling killers. Keep in mind that I had almost 3K hours on xbox and I've been using my controller on PC, So I know what I'm doing (not trying to sound cocky),and as of right now I'm in the purple ranks and the killers tend to 1 hook mori or chase me the whole game and no other survivor. if I pass by a survivor working on a gen they don't even bother to interrupt the gen and just continue to chase. what's up with that? As a former killer main, how can you not interrupt a gen that's almost done and how is it fun chasing 1 person the whole game? And then when the gens done I get smacked with NOED and the killer(s) shake their head as if they did something lmao. I mean I guess it doesn't matter what platform you play on because the toxicity within the game itself will never go away but damn I can't stand people that play like this.

Of course it's worse, PC consider themselves a better set of players.
It's where the better players are. I play on PS4 and PC and I find a lot better players on PC.
It's a larger range though, you'll find a lot of great players and a lot of just....scummy ones.
They know who they are.

Yeah, the toxicity is going to be greater on PC for both sides. For every toxic mori tunnel boy you have the swfs that all run Adrenaline, DS, BT, and Unbreakable with clickys and amazing toolboxes that teabag at the gate and try and hurt your fefes in the endgame chat. I personally don't take moris when I see them in my blood webs. I don't like to waste my BP on an offering that's going to depip me even if I 4k with it.

Why should they play by the survivors rulebook?
Tunneling and camping are gameplay stategies and they can use them whenever they want. Deal with it

I'm with @Swiftblade131 here, although for different reasons.
You shouldn't be doing them, however, if the killer is on you for the whole game, your team should be working on totems. If anyone you should be complaining to them.

Ok Mr.Salty… but having an end game build like BW and NOED then one hitting you is doing something... it takes a perk slot to do that. I actually like having multiple survivors in end game collapse and NOED them then leaving slugs, hoipefully so I can watch the entity come out of the ground and f up two at once... its not like you couldn't have done some hex totems instead of rushing gens. The fault you get one hit here is your own bro.

Pc has more toxic players in general sadly. As for the lack of gen grabs the servers do a double check. First to see if the killer is grabbing a survivor then to see if the survivor is working on a gen. This increases survivor reaction time so while on the killer screen they could be grabbing a survivor they will suddenly snap to their normal stance as the survivor runs away.
Tldr: gens grabs are broken, survivor favored

All i'm saying is, don't complain about something that is preventable, this case it's NOed.
If you hate it that much, play with a SWF squad.
Learn the totem spawning spots and algorithm, it doesn't take long I promise.
If you are getting chased all game, it is up to your team to get the totems, but if they don't that is a mistake of your team, not really you and certainly not the killers fault it's a perk they are allowed to use, sooner you accept that the better. That's just how the game plays out sometimes.
I can't promise always getting better survivors at high ranks, but they do exist. Solo queuing is hard I know.
Best thing you can do is get the totems you do see and keep an eye peeled for totems that are already broken. Keep track of that stuff.

I'm sorry but after hitting purples and getting so many red rank teams while I'm learning Plague, I'm feeling this. You chase one person and three gens done went off. I was accused of tunneling today because all the gens were done and I just wanted one kill. I don't even care anymore, be mad about it!

The gen is almost done it serve no purpose to chase the other survivor because you can just go finish the gen by yourself because the killer would have swich target

Lol I love how you call it a “Strategy” knowing damn well it’s just a scummy way of playing. BTW killers that “hook rush” are the type to DC after they hit someone that has borrowed time once the gates are powered.

As a survivor main, it is a strategy. As someone who's been here for 4 years, it's the survivors' fault if camping works.

Once again, since I don't think you read my post, How Am I supposed to do totems if the killer is chasing ME the entire game and ONLY ME, I'm assuming you think I play SWF with comms after being on PC for only 3 days? Because if that was the case, I would of told my teammates to do gens and totems while I'm being chased CLEARLY..... (:

Thank you, this is a better statement unlike that other comment that stated to do totems instead of rushing gens knowing damn well my post was about being chased the entire game. And yes, I normally have multiple SWF squads on xbox obviously but Since I'm new to steam/PC, I have no choice but to play solo into I run into some awesome people. I know the totems spawns and everything by heart this post was more of rant on how boring it is from both perspectives on chasing 1 person the whole entire game.

Honestly, soul guard is a really good counter to noed. I'd say if you're solo, ignore totems and run - Soul Guard, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time. Noed killers will try to slug to increase the number of survivors they kill and to protect their totem. So you'll get soul guard value in just about every noed game. And it makes it alot safer to go for an unhook vs a noed user as well.

Your calling the OP salty and then describe how much you enjoy completely toxic game play. He and anyone else who encounters the slug-fest you are apparently proud of would have every right to be very salty. This along with every other person whining "Camp and tunnel is a strategy" are just ridiculous. In all things there is a basic social order. This is no different, I can't just walk down the sidewalk spitting in peoples' faces. Because society dictates that that is not a good idea. Expecting people to approach there fellow players with an ounce of respect is not unreasonable.
And everyone busting this guys NoEd comment, his post is about people playing in a toxic manner, not the intricacies of who is responsible for totems. I am sure after 3k hours he is well aware that totems are a good way to counter NoEd.

Killers are forced to bring two and sometimes three perks to counter genrushing. That sounds fun

This thought process is ridiculous. Survivors don't have much of a choice. There is no alternate way to do a gen that is more 'liked' by the Killer. Killers do not have to camp/tunnel to kill survivors.
A survivor doing a gen gives the Killer numerous things...a point of reference for where to find a victim, a gen for destruction points, finishing a gen narrows down survivor locations as the match progresses, depending on perks it may reveal auras or note the gen if there's coop action. All of these benefit the killer. If survivors got on a map and never touched gens the game wouldn't exist. Can you imagine how fun it would to have a Claud squad that refused to touch gens all match? Because that sounds terrible. So really, survivors doing gens allow the Killer to do what they need to be doing to generate pts and rank up.
Where as a Killer camping and tunneling takes away numerous things...it disables the person subjected to it from even playing the game. It GUARANTEES they will get very few BP and depip due to almost no fault of their own. They just get to hang there like a dead fish simulator. It also robs the other survivors of all the things they need to generate already hard to emass bloodpoints...no chase, no off-hooking, no healing, no assist, no protection.
So the idea that camping and tunneling is somehow equivalent to survivors just doing gens is ridiculous.

I wish that was true, but these days some things just aren't counterable.
Also, if someone wants to waste two entire perk slots on the off chance they get slugged because people cant do totems - thats fine. It seems like a pretty bad idea considering the number of things that need countered.

I'd almost feel bad for you if survivors didn't have to do the exact same thing. Which is my point. I don't know if any build that has room for two perk slots specifically for slugging...especially if you run solo. It does not seem like a wise choice. Certainly not one I would make.

If an SWF team is very efficient in gen rushing, then the killer will depip and lose a significant amount of BPs.
in other words, both strategies make both sides lose points

SWF are the least likely team you'll come across in this game. SWAT teams even less so.
Killers who camp and/or tunnel are nearly every game.
Again, there is no comparison here.

There is no genrushing. Just get a grip and accept that you have failed at protecting the gens and move on.
With the way new maps are being made (smaller, unsafe pallets etc) “rushing” gens is the only way to win.
Literally with Hawkins, Saloon and Midwich you HAVE to complete the gens asap as there’s not much to help you when you are being chased.

I don't know about you, but I rarely encounter tunnelers and campers, maybe 1 in 15 games. On the other hand, SWF are very common, at least in my region

There is no tunneling, but it is a made up term by salty survivors. Just get a grip and accept that you have failed at looping the killer and move on

I don't think that unbreakable actually counters slugging all that well because it can only be used once and even if then if the killer is near your slug they'll just smack you back down.
Also, at least within the red ranks slugging is very common. And at the lower ranks NOED is very common. You can roll your eyes, but I've had a ton of success with this build. This build hard counters slugging and NOED. The only real drawback is if a team mate doesn't bring DS then it's unlikely you'll get slugged. But it's rare that there isn't someone running DS.

I started keeping stats today on my games, because I think the concept is fun and I like data. I'm tracking many different data points, including not just camping/tunneling/slugging, but specifically whether it's done all match or just in end game...because I at least understand tunneling/camping in end game to secure a kill when there's nothing else to do. Of the 10 matches I played today, 8 of them included camping and/or tunneling throughout the entirety of the match. Two matches were tunnel moris.

Lots of build rely on perk synergy to make them stronger. Perk synergies generally are about using multiple perks with similar ideas. We'll Make it and Borrowed or Discordance + Surveillance.
You may have several games where you aren't slugged, but getting slugged is super common. Slugged for the 4k, Slugged because of Ruin, Slugged because you ended up going down as you were going for the unhook, slugged because of you're going against Myers or Nurse or Oni.

I dont think the big difference is toxicness, but rather the tryhard / skilllevel. I was not playing a lot on console, but the time i did, it felt like easy mode. A rank 1 killer on console can be compared with a rank 10 killer on PC. Same goes for survivors.
PC players are so much more tryhards and much more dedicated then console players and i think it can feel like they beeing toxic. They only want to win here, which was fine for me.
A college of mine was playing also almost 3K hours on console, switched to pc. Quote: "I was playing a tutorial for over 2 years". Every time he goes back to console, its like vacation for him.

It's probably more because keyboard / mouse combo is a superior more prescience targeting method than auto aim thumb bot controller players.

yo slug fests are fine. I don't see how its unfair. Its actually interesting to see the psychology of players, whether they are bold and altruistic enough to save their team mates. You are basically suggesting that if they do all gens its game over, they deserve to leave... its not. They still have to get the gate open and possibly decide whether rescue their friend. That's how the game is played. My good ettiquite is not tunnelling and camping. As far as killing everyone end game, that's part of it.
Its not toxic, 90% of my victims tell me they had fun. I had one slugged and one trying to save in end game collapse and the end game entity came up n devoured them both. They both loved it and the other players said it was the most romantic camping they ever saw.
By playing end games we make their game intense and exciting. Not boring, oh I got all gens done now I escaped unchallenged... this is a horror game and most survivors want to be challenged

before you think I contradicted, I don't camp hooks, but proxy camping slugs end game is different. I want to entice you in for a save and if you are good enough you will be successful
you know a good team can still get out when u do that. Body blocking and co ordination rather than crouching in the exit gat while the action is going on

you might think what I do is toxic but if you haven't played it you wouyldnt know how fun the game can be with a bit more end game pressure. like I said, its a horror game, its a psychological game.
