So, Pyramid Head, hm? CAN WE SHOOT FOR NEMESIS?!

People said that Pyramid Head would never get into the game considering that Konami are kinda douchey (in my opinion) and copyrights are on a tight leash. I have a few points of why we, as the fans who drive the community, should push for Nemesis as the next Killer.

  1. I believe that that the Entity could take Leon or Claire with Nemesis, simply because they are survivors from their own realm. And Nemesis is more than likely based from a human test subject (as most Resident evil monsters are). So, the Entity loves the idea people living in fear and desperately fighting for their lives. Check.
  2. I Believe Capcom would be wiling to work with BHVR on this. You're probably thinking " No, guy, they wont do that because they have RE: RESISTANCE". Yes, you are correct, Capcom has their own "Asymmetrical Multi-player Survial Horror game" and that doing business with a rival company would potentially subtract from their own game BUT are you guys forgetting about Marvel vs Capcom? Or Capcom VS Street Fighter? or Tekken vs Street Fighter?! My POINT IS that Capcom have no problem working with companies doing the same game genres as them. (IM STILL WAITING ON a MK VS SF!! the game would sell itself!)
  3. NEMESIS IS JUST AS POPULAR AS PYRAMID HEAD, maybe even more. The video game horror community, as a whole, realize and respect what Nemesis has done for the entire genre of Survival Horror. He helped shape video game horror. I dont need to elaborate on that *Mic Drop*

SO thats why i think he'd be a good canidate for the next anniversary pick for killer. I KNOW THAT HE, AS A KILLER, WOULD BE KINDA BROKEN.. but i have ideas of how NEMESIS AND THE RACCON POLICE DEPARTMENT COULD BE PUT IN Dead by Daylight! but thats for another discussion. What yall think so far?

Nah I can't see it happening, the RE franchise itself would make the DLC price be through the roof. And if anything a crimson head would be more terrifying than nemesis

    Two questions, respectfully, of course

    1. Considering that you real all my points, Why do you legitimately think that Capcom couldnt negotiate a deal of sorts with BHVR? U say DLC would be overpriced but people are already paying for that 15$ Lisa Garland reskin of Heather. Can you provide an example of Capcom unwilling to talk, or backing out of a deal or something?
    2. WHY IS A CRIMSON HEAD. (A zombie that moves slightly faster than normal and cant travel through rooms with you) SCARIER THAN NEMESIS LMAO BRO

    1. I'm going to assume your under the age of 30 years of age. The nemesis wasn't the scary part of resident evil. Even at the age of 32 I'm still terrified anytime I hear the crimson head noise

######### yes! Although... I gotta ask... in terms of Lore, where is he(Nemesis)? Entity seems to grab people/creatures that wont disrupt their timelines. And who would the survivor be that the BH/RE universe could spare?

    And Jill Valentine for survivor

Well since the Entity essentially deepens dark feelings in a person until they're finally taken. Nemisis was a bio-weapon, and his only objective is to hunt down STARS members, making him a perfect killing machine as all he will do is destroy whatever stands in his way. Jill Valentine suffers with PTSD after the Arklay Mountains incident and the Entity could manipulate that within her to deeper her fear of becoming a zombie, thus, making her far easier to kidnap. I think they'd both be a pretty good fit for DbD and I really hope that somewhere down the line, Capcom hand over the rights for her. I mean, Resistance isn't exactly breaking any records right now in terms of Asymetrical games.

Not remake Nemesis. Takes way too much time killing his prey. Doesn't even kill a single member of STARS. Flashbangs and grenades make him irrelevant.

I'll take a Resident Evil chapter, but Leon has to be a part of it. RE2 and RE4 are arguably the best games in the series, but Leon always gets shafted in favor of Chris or Jill in crossovers

One of the biiiig reasons that Behaviour even got this Liscens is 100% because Silent hill as a gaming franchis kind of died with P.T. in my oppinion. So even though they are different companies I doubt very much that Capcom wanna share their game franchise with anyone since they are still pumping out games. Could be wrong but I doubt it.

But I mean is he dead or MIA in his universe? Keeping timelines/lore from source materials intact is like, the Prime Directive of DbD. If he's still in use it's a no-go. Is Jill still active in that world as well? She'd be my first pick also but I dunno if removing her from her universe would upset things.

I suppose it depends on the timeline of when she's taken. If she was taken around the Racoon City events, then yes, the timeline would be a little messed up since she gets kidnapped by Wesker in 5. However, if it was after those events, then I guess it's fine since she's not really seen after the events of 5.

i appreciate the perspective because i agree, SH died. But Tekken vs Street Fighter (NAMCO vs CAPCOM) is a thing and i dont think either franchise is struggling or would be unwilling to cooperate with each other. IM ESSENTIALLY TELLING YOU TO HAVE FAITH, MAN!

WELL im now convinced that we'll NEVER get them now.

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THE ONLY REAL REASON THAT THIS CAN'T HAPPEN IS BECAUSE THE CHARACTERS NEED AN ALIBI? like omg i understand that they like keeping lore consistent and not wanting to piss off the creators/ Licence holders for the MOVIE franchises but (show of hands)...

HOW MANY OF YOU CARE ABOUT WHY SUPER MARIO, LINK, STAR FOX AND DONKEY ARE FIGHTING IN SUPER SMASH BROS? Because i dont care about the story there at all.

If Capcom said "go ahead " on the subject of time not mattering (because Capcom is a VIDEOGAME company and understand how to correctly engage fan service more than the film industry would) Im sure that BHVR would turn a 'blind eye' to their lore , for once make an exception and go crazy

As much as I would love to see a Killer going around punching people. I don't think Nemesis would happen, not any time soon at least.

Thing is, Silent Hill as a franchise is nowhere near as popular as it once was and on top of that, Konami is probably still feeling the loss of respect and sales just for killing Metal Gear/Firing Kojima-San. This is both a way to market Silent Hill again, as well as a way to make them look better by giving access to their characters to a small company. Kills two birds with one stone. Get more money and they look better for it.

Capcom doesn't need to do either thanks to the remakes of Resi 2 & 3 keeping the franchise alive, and it feels like any bad press on them has been forgotten since Monster Hunter World came out. They'd have no reason to give BHVR any access to their characters right now.

True, true. Capcom wouldnt doesnt need to, but their agreement to allow RE into DBD would only increase exposure of both parties involved.

Dbd just hit a milestone with the Mobile App. There are alot of 'cell phone people being introduced to not only DBD but Horror video games in general.

Resident Evil is a household name. ALOT OF PEOPLE KNOW what a "Resident Evil" is. Whether because the die-hard fan base, the Paul Anderson Movies or because RE has been here and always will be.

Win or lose ( i mean, how could this go bad?) this collaboration will keep people talking about RE until the new RE4/RE8 start get closer to release.

I dont think there's any losers in this race.

as long as its not the nemesis from remake which it probably will be, they should just build it based off the marvel vs capcom model of original nemesis

Eh I feel like nemesis was more scary but hey to each their own but I feel like either way it would be cool
