Tired of smurf accounts.
For people like me, and i am sure for other people as well, i am getting a little tired of it, you know when they have a smurf account, i am like green rank, going against red ranks who has a friend who is in yellow ranks. We all know that isn't true, it's not entitely fair for me to go against these people, i am an okay killer i took 4 months away from killer because i just got tired of it. Why do people feel the need to do this? i am okay if it's random and the entity puts me with purples and SOME red ranks. But not someone who is in yellow and dukes, tunnels, flash lights, loops endlessly and i am sure a few will say git gud but it isn't about that, just be nice for it to be least a little more fair.

There really isn't a smurff thing in this game. We have rank reset every month or so. They Do this on the 13th if I recall right. What happens is everyone has to climb from the very bottom to the top again. So a person will run across players that might not have played in a awhile and then they have to work their way up again.
Part of Rank rest just means that as the players filter on, it takes about a week for the system to normalize. Sometimes longer. If they stagnate the ranks it makes the game significantly worse. It has the pros and cons. But overall I guess it is better than some games that lock the ranks down so nobody can enjoy themselves.

I think you may of missunderstood lol, people create accounts, called smurf ones on their ps and computer, just it's easy to add an account, then they go on dbd as a vry low rank (when obvs they are red ranks) just to play with their buddies and well very much destroy peeps like me. I mean i am okay with a killer as i am playing but when that happens.

Thats VERY VERY rare in dbd. I never saw a smurf in 4 years in my own games. Its just how the MM is broken atm.

Myself and Mr Mushwin encounter it a lot of the time, a couple of my friends i play with too, some may think it's just a good team etc but can really tell when it is.

i can understand the reality of such as you say that, but i am on a level i feel comfy with, i wont ever be a purple or red rank killer and i dont want too, i go and try to enjoy been a killer, but smurfs don't make it fun i`m afraid. I am only playing killer to do my tommes, and to have a little fun, i don't need to get a high rank it just sucks that people have to do this.

I have a friend who uses a smurf account and some of his friends do too. I don't play with him when he swaps over since it does genuinely feel scummy and just compounds the unfairness of matchmaking, and I can't say for sure how common it is, but unfortunately it's still a thing people do.
he'd say it's just because red ranks get stale and exhausting given how hard people sweat, but obviously that ends with him bullying new players essentially for his own satisfaction. like a lot of toxic behavior, it's selfish.

The problem is the game seems to have gone back to matchmaking using the average of the SWF, rather than the highest rank probably due to the lack of killers. This encourages the use of smurf accounts: three red rank survivors plus "a rank 20 friend who we just like to play with" will beat a green rank killer with relative ease if they are on comms.

To be honest I'm certain your matchmaking was just that bad I'm a rank 1 survivor and have been getting paired against literal rank 20 killers there will be like 1 rank 20 survivor and the rest all high rank and it's really not fair to the brand new players to the game. Uta been been like this for me anyways since around april at least they are looking into it

I have a number of smurf accounts in my ps4 so I can practice looping killers. It helps me to understand better the mistakes I make on my primary account where I usually hover along purple/red ranks as survivor.

An easy way to spot these people (on xbox and ps4) is if their gamertag actually references dbd. This tells you they were fully on board with dbd before creating the account.
I ran into someone named something like CheekyClaudette11 and they were verrry good at looping for a rank 16. But whatev, they aren't gonna have a ton of perks most likely.

you dont need another account to smurf. The rank reset system is just dumb. I was rank 1 both sides, took a 6 month break and then feel bad because I run killers for 5 gens or get all survivors in 3 minutes to death hook. You cant blame people for not playing the game some time, blame the design of Rank reset and MM in general.

Just an example that even a main account can land you a crappy rank after a break. Took a break for afew months and my rank on both sides plummeted. I'm a killer main, so my killer rank went back to rank 1 pretty quickly. As you can see... I dont play survivor nearly as much, lol.

The dc timer ban is nothing, it adds 5 minutes on to a lobby time, people will do something else, watch the rest of the match, so we have seen a lack of, people who create these smurf accounts do so for a certain reason and a dc ban timer is NOT one of them.

This is why we need a better practice mode for bdb, esp practicing for killrs as i have said in previous posts.

No one climbs from the very bottom from the Red Ranks..on the 13th...all Reds go to Rank 5, all Purples go to Rank 9, all Greens go to 13, all Yellows go to 17, and the whites simply stay where they are. A Rank 1 doesn't fall to Rank 20...not that it matters. I have played in matches where I was a rank 4, the others were a Rank 1, Rank 1 and Rank 3 and we played a perkless rank 20 who had 15 minutes in game.

Once I am in the Red Ranks near the end of the season I go and play my smurf (rank 17) for the rest of the season. My smurf doesn't have all the perks I like since my smurf account doesn't have Nancy and Tapp is still level 1 so I don't have Detective's Hunch on my smurf Feng, but still rather fun facing some person with 1 hour in game against my 2000+ in a Benny Hill fun sorta way.

i just lost 3 matches in a row against rank 20 killers with no perks at all. if that isnt smurf i dont know what is....

I'll be honest, I pretty much intentionally stay at rank 16.
But here's the thing: I'm never bulling new survivors, because I never actually face groups of new survivors! Every damn game is red/purple rank SWF's either exploiting the matchmaking with a rank 18 "friend", or just plain all red/purple rank SWFs.
Which is kinda why I like staying low rank, so I can punish those bum-hunting groups. Probably also why they get so damn salty.

I have mates who don't play the game that much. They're always below rank 18.
I'm at RED. I am not getting MY killers to go against these guys.
Instead, I'm going to use underpowered perks and not level them up much. Can I still destroy a killer? Yes. But I have to really work for it.

Played killer for the first time since rank reset and ran into a group like this last saturday.
It was swf (how many idk) one of their names was something to the effect of "crushinDBDn00bs". Not even subtle really. They finished 1 gen and wiped. Sometimes works, other times eh not so much. gg

I love how this chat is one post saying there is no such thing as a smurf followed by red ranks talking about their smurf account hehe.
Not gonna lie I'm currently de-ranking as killer, not on purpose but I've maxed out the killers I main and am trying new ones, usually results in the loss of a couple of ranks. When I get back to green we'll probably see improvement again.
Yes I have had swf with half half red and yellow ranks who get very upset when you 4k them. Is it a bad match up or is it a smurfy play?.. who knows.

i am, because im not really good with survivors, but i went against a rank 20 hill billy with no perks who have insane map pressure. It was running around with the chainsaw all the time, there is no way a rank 20 killer have that class of skills. I have a lot of other examples like this one, perfect blink nurse, never miss a shot huntress , etc. They are all rank 1 players seeking for a quick trolling.
Thats why its look like smurf to me.

its much worse here in South America were the game is pretty much dead and the brazilian filth is all that remains. Its a shame because i really like this game.
