Lifeforms within the realm

So, we're obviously acquainted with the crows but... what about the rats? Anyone else spot more examples of The Entity creating other forms of life within her realm? What purpose do they serve? Can they be a food source for those trapped here? I doubt they're normal considering the eyes.

I believe that the crows are simply the Entity's creation, as they're present in every map and fade away like the Entity's claws on struggle phase as well as being described as the Entity's servants. However, every other creature is recreated from the memories of the killer, for example the Doctor remembered the old hospital being infested with rats so they were created along with the rest of the map from his mind.

I suppose those twitching cadaver things at Midwich could be classified as another type of Entity-created life, as well as the vultures at the saloon.

How did I forget the vultures!? Hey, they don't have glowing eyes... what gives? The cadavers are... something. Haha Dead? Alive?

Anyway, yeah, the vultures seem pretty chill and not weird shadow creatures. Hmm...
