Crowns and Legacy are a disadvantage
They're both extremely bright event cosmetics that pretty much do the Killer a favor. Try crouching in a bush with legacy and/or crowns. Won't work.
Crowns are perfect for the clicky, clicky all meta perk Survivors that want to be chased... I guess

They're not supposed to give you an advantage. The devs are against "pay to win" cosmetics or event exclusives that give you an advantage.
Their purpose is to let you flex on other players.
6 -
That is literally the entire point.
They are supposed to be a cosmetic that doesn't give any advantage.

"Against pay-to-win cosmetics or exclusives that give you an advantage." Claudette, Ace, and Kate are pretty much pay to win.
Claudette has the darkest cosmetics that must be bought.
Ace is the quietest survivor and must be purchased.
Kate is female Ace and must be purchased.

P3 Claudette can be earned through levelling her. Ace and Kate can also be earned through playtime using shards.

Ace and many others are free on console.
Also its not pay to win if you can get it with ingame currency also its not pay to win if you can win easily without it.
4 -
Ace and Kate must still be purchased, whether it be through in-game or external currency.

I play on console, I just don't want to single out PC.

I wonder why they are free on console but not on PC

All of which can be purchased with in game currency - blood points. None of them are premium survivors so you don't actually have to pay for them with real currency.
So not pay 2 win.
Pay 2 win would be Freddy because omg easy-mode lol.

Console forces you to purchase either the Special or Nightmare edition of the game.

You underestimate the amount of "clicky, clicky meta perk Survivors" there are in this game. Bright cosmetics are super popular despite being a disadvantage.

Some people don't realize what pay-to-win is. Star Wars Battlefront 2 was pay-to-win with it's supply boxes. Darth Vader could be earned through something like 20 hours of in-game play or could be purchased through buying the loot crates. People called this pay-to-win even though money didn't have to be spent.

I'm not sending another response on here.

They can be "purchased" using currency you obtain for free in-game, yeah. I know they can be bought with money (as with most DLC) but you can also unlock them for free, which is better than most games and their DLC.

Funny, when I find a P3 Claudette I make sure she dies. That doesn't sound like a fair advantage.

Yes

You can't buy Claudette's darkest cosmetics. You have to get them by playing the game.

God, some people don't understand the original post. The OP is talking about how using the cosmetics makes it hard to stealth, that's it.
WTH are people talking about "pay to win" (even though the mentioned examples make no sense) and "They're not supposed to give you an advantage," for??? Like, that wasn't even the point of the post... lmao
