I've already taken a break but another might be coming very soon.

About 4 months ago I came back to dbd after a 6 month long break. I'm already at my breaking point with taking another break or just straight up quitting the game. For the past month this game has just been horrifically stressful and frustrating. I've already quit killer, I'm never playing killer again for the terrible state it's in (and has been). I'm a solo survivor for the most part. I average getting green rank potato teammates that don't do gens, leave me to die on first and second hook almost every single match and that can't last in a chase for 2 seconds without being downed (I'm rank 1). Hit boxes are really ruining my experiences. Playing against huntress is borderline torture for a survivor if they have ANY sense of aim. She's throwing beach balls. Looking straight at a ghost face for over 10 seconds and could not reveal him at all. My main issues with the game are teammates not doing anything, hit boxes and constant tunneling. Plus constantly getting horrible maps. I'm at my breaking point. I really don't know if this game is worth sticking around for anymore... all it does is make me angry. Maybe it's time for me to let dbd go.

Fellow solo player here. Just wanna say I feel your pain. Solo Survivor is by far the hardest mode in the game. Unfortunately, you'll have to SWF if you want a more consistent and less frustrating experience.

As for Killer, it's definitely more stressful, but it gives you more control over the game and has a ton of tools to make the match pretty easy. Have you tried spamming Moris for awhile? Usually makes for easy games and helps me unwind after sweating in previous matches.

Finally, breaks are a necessity with DBD. Even BHVR themselves know playing too often can be super stressful (The infamous "Maybe take a break and try playing Civilization for awhile"). There are tons of other games out there and DBD will still be here when you've de-stressed!

I did use moris a lot but I still just can't stand playing killer. It's just frustrating. I've always been a survivor main but I still played a decent amount of killer and it's just not for me.

The ranking system atm doesn’t help solo survivors. Everyone and their dog is getting to rank 1 just by playing the game (not skill based) so you’ll end up getting survivors with less than 100hrs of game time reaching rank 1. Makes a frustrating solo survivor experience

Yeah I've been getting a LOT of selfish and potato red ranks too... it's not only low ranks. But I totally agree that ranking up is way too easy. It ruins matches for killer and solo queue survivors.

It seems like this post starts out by saying that killer is too frustrating and is in a horrible state, but survivor is too frustrating because killers are applying so much pressure and he can't survive? It sounds like you need to find a way to just have fun with the game. I used to get frustrated with losing or not escaping, and now just have fun every match. Treat every round like practice and stop caring about the end result so much.

It's not that killers are applying too much pressure. If you'd pay attention you'd know that im mainly talking about teammates, bugs and certain playstyles that I play against constantly. I've tried the "I'm not gonna try and win, I'll just play for fun" mindset so many times but it just doesn't work for me. I'm competitive and I like to win. Am I asking to win every single match and bully baby killers? No. I'm just saying that certain things about this game are making me want to quit the game or take another long break. And yes, I find killer worse to play than survivor, which is why I quit killer. So I can't really complain about killer too much. I think it's really obvious that killer is underpowered.

This is just my opinion but i think easy r1 started when they nerfed ruin. At least old ruin kept survivors who cant hit great skill checks in the green ranks.

That probably helped a lot of people start playing better and ranking up faster.
