Meta perks are useless, underrated ones are better

Am I the only one who think meta perks are useless and underrated perks are wayy better??

DS, BT, DH, etc.. All killers know how to deal with it and make these perks useless.

But perks like Autodidact, MoM, Lithe, DWM, etc.. are way better because the killer think you use the meta perks and can't anticipate.

The only meta perk I think is OK is sprint burst because whatever you do, the killer can't deal with it.

    I agree with you.

DH -- doesn't work properly half the time (and it causes exhaustion).

DS -- most killers wait it out

BT -- doesn't work on killers with no terror radius. It works better if only 1 to 2 members of the team run it at most.

SB -- sucks unless you are really skilled with using it (you have to 99 and not be afraid to run)

I prefer things like Lithe and Empathy.

Let me also say I hate Resilience or perks that encourage not healing up. I've seen so many teammates not heal only to go down quickly in their next chase. It's not worth it.

I disagree only because some meta perk combos cannot be dealt with. DS + Unbreakable makes it so the Survivor has immunity for 60 seconds after being unhooked no matter what. Borrowed Time isn't easy to counter if you're not playing a stealth killer. You can wait out the 15 seconds but they can make it to a safe vault or pallet by then.

These perks are meta because they can be difficult to deal with even for experienced killers.

I tried the combo DS + Unbreakable but I saw so many killer camp + slugging me, waiting for my DS timer done, and wait if I used Unbreakable...

Borrowed Time is easy to counter, when I play killer I only hit the survivor who dehook.. So..

When I used my Lithe + Danse with me build, the killer always don't waste his time and change target.

When I used MoM, every time the killer think I'm dumb but he doesn't know that I can take 3 hits...

    I can use many examples..

I tried the DS + Unbreakable combo, it failed because the killer camp and slug my body until my DS timer is done, or waiting for me to used Unbreakable.

But when I used other builds like Lithe + danse with me, the killer don't waste his time and change target.

Or when I used MoM, the killer think I'm dumb dehooking injured in front of him, but he don't know I can take another hit...

I can use many example but I think the best way to deal with a killer is to use unexpected perks.

PS : I don't know why but when u edited a post on this forum it delete it, so it's my third try... Sorry if you see multiple posts, Im not sure I'm respond is post.

I think sprint burst is potentially the best survivor perk in the game.

I think it too, I tried sprint burst + vigil + the Nancy walking perk, it was so OP I did two sprint bursts in a single chase 😂

But I don't like sprint burst, I prefer lithe and DH for an exhausting perk

I agree some good perks can be somewhat devastating not because they are great, like meta ones, but because killers rarely expect them.

Ive been running Autodidact lately as for some reason Im facing a ton of Sloppy Butcher and/or Tanatophobia paired with slugging and its the perfect counter, killers have comented on the postchat how baffled and confused they were seeing how fast the survivors were healing and getting picked up, some even tought of cheating during the game only to be surprised in the postgame screen to see Autodidact screwing their builds, they never expected it so they didnt have a Plan B.

This is stronger from survivors since their meta is more stale and harder to detect what they are using.

The only thing I don't like about sprint burst is that you have to walk or you waste it. Sometimes you just have to use it before chase for a hook save or to open a door etc. Getting sb to 99 is probably the best way to use the perk.

I don't think many people even know what is Meta these days since it varies heavily between ranks, consoles, and personal opinion.

I don't think any red rank killer can afford to stand over a slugged person for 60 seconds.

The fact that the killer is forced to slug the survivor to avoid being hit with DS, means DS is doing it's job.

Just curious are you even playing at red ranks?

I'm rank 1 survivor and in red ranks there are a loooooot of campers and tunnelers 😂

Yeah, would you ever believe kindred is meta on surv mobile? And stridor is meta for killers, due to the visual indicator that someone is heavy breathing next to you? Bloodhound also does a great job.

And, btw, urban evasion is my go to for breaking chases. No killer expects me to crouch and slide away so fast they Just keep running trying to catch up... Until they see the chase blurring effect disappear and double back to try to find me.. and i'm already gone

And you know it happened 1/2 times, when the killer chased me for more than 2 gens, I'm sure he will camp me, it happened so many times but I'm laughing so hard because I don't care to die if my mates escape.

Yeah, Urban Evasion is one of the best tools for juking and disengaging, for me is a must.

I just don't see how a killer can afford to waste their to time stand over a slugged survivor for 60 seconds, unless it's at low ranks.

I could down a survivor extremely quickly, and carry them to the basement. The time it took me to do that two gens could have been completed.

I'm a rank 1 survivor too, but I rarely play against red rank killers that camp and tunnel (camping and tunneling are often bad strategies, often those strategies are a sure way to throw the game).

The one perk I always run and have been since 2016 (lol) is iron will. My two favorite builds are Sprint Burst, Fixated, Vigil or Resilience, Spine Chill, D-Strike. I prefer the resilience build because the gens just fly through, and I'm confident enough to stay injured. I didn't start using D-Strike until 2020, mostly because it seems like killer have been extra sweaty lately.

Endgame DS is the only time I can afford to slug and keep guard, usually I just try to eat the DS early in the match.

The matchmaking dude, the matchmaking :)

But there a lot of red ranks killer that tunnel and camp too

Yes I make a post too about blood pact, I use it with Autodidact and solidarity
