Tunnel Master 3000 :)
since the new chapter "Shattered Bloodline" there are a lot of tunneled killers. I understand Gen-Rush, good SWF and you want to have at least one kill. But can't you do anything about it?!
If you are tunneled out several rounds you will lose the fun. In addition there are the farming survivors (but that's another topic). You can't do anything in this situation or only loop as long as you can. Even blocking survivors trying to distract the killer won't help.
I'm not a survivor main I also play a lot of killers but this is never my way of playing because as a survivor I hate it so much when it happens to me.
It is certainly not the first discussion on this topic and I am already looking forward to the comments from the killer main. But I like listening to your opinion. Because DBD-Community can be so great

I think the DLC may have brought a few people back into the game who aren't so great. I've haven't seen as many camping/ tunneling killers and clueless survivors since it first went free on PSN+.
Unless you're suggesting that it's the Spirits who are tunneling. In which case, give people a chance to learn her.
Either way, I'm sure it'll settle back to "normal" soon. Whether normal is a good thing or not is a whole other debate.

Thanks:) I hope you're right, because I love this game

If you are tunneled several roudns, then this is your fault because you are found all the time. Dont blame the killer for your mistakes.
Oh and btw, tunneling is literally the best thing a killer can do, it would be stupid not to tbh.
Now that more and more survivors become experienced with looping and skillchecks I see myself in the position to tunnel as soon as my ruin is gone, before that, I am in chill mode2 -
@DeadByFlashlight if your ruin is destroyed is not my fault you can use thrill of the hunt or the new perk Hex: Haunted Ground.
This was especially introduced for not destroying your totems so fast.good killer can also get everyone without tunneling / camping!!
What can surv do to escape? - you have to loop3 -

I dont care who has destroyed my ruin and its definitely not my fault when survivors spawn on it or sth like that. TOTH is a big joke, SWF can easily counter it and toxic survivors can abuse the notification to force me muting the game. I dont have the new hex perk yet but it will end as a RNG anyway and again, not my fault if ruin is gone.
Fact is that once ruin is gone, the genspeed increases so drastically that I need to hurry up with my kills, thats why I start tunneling when ruin is gone.

Trapper trap loop spots use huntress and her hatchet's drop high lv hag traps about that's one counter for those areas is
A SWF can easily disarm your traps EVEN DURING chase, once you experienced that as trapper you are ready to forgot about him. Same as hag, a mate can always run with you and pop all your hag traps instantly, they can also be destroyed by flashlights. I heard that huntress hitboxes are ######### now, cant tell because I havent played her since the patch, but well......

@Orange_Lady On top of the dlc bringing veterans back, another possibility could be just new free-to-play players. After all, Dead by Daylight is free to play on Steam right now.0

Punctuation is not something you've heard of?
A comma, at least, would be nice to put in that mess of a sentence.2 -
I am not good at grammar heck I need a editor just to post my own fanfic stuff online0

I'll cop to tunneling on her a lot in my last few matches. Ruin got cleansed in 30 seconds, in spite of Haunting Ground in 4 matches in a row, so knowing full well I'm not killing more than 1 person without full-on camping, I just messed around. I have bad perks for her.
Personally, I don't think her Phase Walk is all that good for consistently catching survivors. It's so easily juked, especially when audio cues do not consistently play properly, and scratch marks won't even show up on survivors running in front of you. Numerous times I've had the sound play under me where the scratch marks stop as I hear them running, only to get it and see them 10+ feet ahead.

SWF groups are strong yes that's true, but you don't have every round a foursome team. Moreover survivors on rank 1 with a lot of experience are good enough to play in a team even if they are not in TS/Discord together. You can gain a lot of playing experience because the game exists since 2016
In most cases they also tunnel to annoy the survivors. And yes I admit that the killer has to play alone against four - with good player it's hard when you play "normal", but you play this game to have fun and not to annoy other players (doing survivors also with tbagging) but as a reason to say he has destroyed my ruin - now I have to tunnel. Well everyone does what he thinks is right

There's nothing wrong with tunneling from a killer's perspective (well, except for BBQ). One survivor out of the game early means one less pair of hands working on gens. That's a good thing, right? Some survivors practically ask for it (the skilled loopers). If you don't like it, I suggest you start the game stealthy and let killer chase someone else first (that's what I usually do at least), or after you're caught for the first time, again: hide after being unhooked.
Also, you may want to use Bond. It's a great tool to lead the killer to your mates, with some luck you can make killer turn his attention to them instead of you.
I'm not saying I don't hate it when it happens to me (I'm horribly bad at looping), but it's a valid killer tactic.One final thing to try, though it rarely works: when you've been hooked twice and killer's still after you, try to crouch in front of him, and do the slow look up-look down head motion. It very much looks like kowtowing - as a killer, I always interpreted this as begging for one's life. Who knows, maybe they'll find it in their heart and spare you.

No such thing as tunneling, it's strategy0

@George_Soros i love your opinion you understand my post and don't just write tunneling is a strategy. You give your own opinion on it, that's exactly what I wanted
@redsopine1 would you take the injured one if he was just farmed?

@redsopine1 mhh ok, when I see someone farming while i'm still close I'm not going after the injured survivor. I try to get the other one and hang him up...because in my opinion the rescued survivor can't do anything against farming. I want to give him a second chance and punish the farmer

I desperately hope there's gonna be a little less farming though. One of the best things this new chapter introduced is the safe unhook mechanic.
@redsopine1 Not trying to be annoying here or anything, but as others suggested, please please us punctuation. Would improve your posts a lot.0 -
I don't enjoy being tunneled but I have no hate to killer doing it. Its smart. Especially if they managed to get you after you've looped the for some time of course they wanna get rid of you1

@DeadByFlashlight
Keep in mind, this patch added "trap buffering". Trapper has become even more niche useless and strengthened SWF brokenness.Imagine this specific scenario. It's not a typical scenario, but it's possible on certain maps with hooks near narrow hallways/pallet points/chokepoints.
Injured survivor A does a risky unhook for survivor B with you, the Killer, nearby. After the unhook, two injured survivors ready to get downed are BOTH near you!
Awesome, right?
Wrong.
Both survivors take a hallway with an unpassable trap at the end... Mwahahahha! Get Rekt! Right?
Wrong again.
You are almost about to SLAP the monkey-loving ######### out of injured survivor A. Cleverly, the injured survivor A "trap buffers", so injured survivor B passes free through the trap, thus escaping you.
You are about to hit the injured survivor A, when injured survivor A SUDDENLY uses Dead Hard to boost through the trap. You cannot go straight after either of them now because you'd get caught in your own trap.... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
So effectively, two survivors have now escaped and have a considerable lead against you because you have to stop to pick up your own damn trap. Survivor B has escaped, surrounded by other Survivors if we wanna be really toxic about this scenario, and Survivor A probably has enough of a lead now to get to another safe pallet.
How the hell does this "enhance" game balance?
BHVR made Trapper's own power work against him in this specific scenario. Before this patch, you'd have gotten at least one downed survivor, maybe two downs even (I forget if you can dead hard through a trapped survivor? O_O)
Also, with hook invincibility changes, everyone can take dead hard now because in SWF they can body block unsafe hooks and when the survivor being unhooked hits the floor they can dead hard and get away.... Totes fair, right? :P

Please blame your survivor mate for farming you and not the killer for "tunneling"

Of course tunneling is a tactic, but farming is the biggest crap there is - I support that even less than tunneling/camping.
But it's a pity that some killers still play that way0 -

Excuse me but us killers will always target the weakest link. If we have the option of hooking a survivor who is on there second or last hook and hooking a survivor on there first hook I am sorry but we will go for the first option if possible.

@douggie123
Yes many make this decision and yes it is also correct that it belongs to the main task of the killer to let a survivor die.
There are just way too many tunnler just since the new chapter. I noticed that and I wanted your opinion on it0 -
@Orange_Lady If I may ask, what do you define as tunneling? I ask because of all the "evil" tactics in DBD, this is the one that seems to have the least concrete definition. Before I truly respond, I want to know which version of tunneling I am responding about.

@lasombra1979
Every killer comes back to hook when someone was rescued, every survivor heals under the hook. If the killer then goes on the still injured survivor I already see as tunneling.
But opinions differ: Why do you heal under the rake and not run away?!But for example, it happens to me so often that I am obsessed and simply always tunneled (I play without DS), or that of course the killers remember who has been to hook before and then rather take this person.
Therefore I know you can see an injured player better because he runs and makes noises...but many killers just don't let themselves be distracted by other survivors and are so focused.Tunneling has been an advantage that I think is sometimes exploited too much.
It is a big and difficult topic! You can't please the survivors and the killers either, somebody has something to complain about anyway.
I'm also just bitching and wanted to hear other opinions. Some say they tunnel directly, others don't even leave the hook (it's an online game and everyone has their own strategy)

I only tunnel people with flashlights, ESPECIALLY after the update

@TheDarkLycan
When I see these players in my lobby (with Flash or other items) I take Franklins into my perk build.
There are different ways of playing and it's also everyone that plays his way thanks for your opinion0 -
And farming I never new that is just unhook the guy so you can unhook again that's mean0
