Are perks ever gonna get changed?
Remember all those months ago when they said they were gonna change perks like Any means necessary, Cruel limits, and many more but we still have to see even one perk changed at all?
The only perks that have gotten changed have been Hangman's trick, Saboteur, Gearhead, Trail or torment, Forced penance, Deathbound, Soul guard, and Blood pact
As you can see most of these changes were for newer perks to make them not bad (They are still bad tho)
Then you have gearhead nerfed immediately after ptb for no reason
And the only older perks that were changed were Hangman's trick and Saboteur but they were only changed because of the sabo rework
Im really hoping this post doesn't age well and the midchapter patch has a bunch of cool perk changes that changes the same meta we've had for forever now.

the smite devs buff unused characters and items every 2 weeks and nerf over used items/characters to make every item and character meta.It really sucks to see a insanely cool game like dbd just be the same 10 perks on both side used because the devs dont care. The smite devs have on multiple occasions completely changed items if they are used in every build but if you look at old dbd videos the builds hardly change overtime which is just sad.

im gonna be optimistic and hope that they’ve been putting off on buffing perks because they wanna buff them all together, kinda like the map changes last mid chapter
maybe this mid chapter would have a majority of the perk pool buffed/nerfed?

They could just make Cruel limits block vaults around the killer so your chasing someone a gen goes off and boom they can't vault in the area your in

Just make survivors that finished the gen unable to vault any window for set amount of time.

Kindred got changed think a couple other unused ones also, bill perks and such.

They won't. Evidently they don't see an issue because they live streamed saying they had an ever changing meta. If anyone at behavior actually thinks that then perhaps it's merely delusion not lazyness.
Alternatively it could also be fear, too scared to change the meta for fear of effecting balance too much. Leaves everything pretty stale though knowing your opponents builds before queueing with nearly 100% certainty nearly 100% of the time.

He is more referring too the fact that some perks are fundamentally flawed by nature.
They brought up how Cruel limits can be game breaking if buffed at all but using an example from the devs is Monstrous Shrine:
Monstrous Shine in the devs eyes can't be buffed as it would make basement builds too powerful(Basement camping is balanced around how much time it gives the other to rush gens) if it decreases the timer any further while both the escape attempt and failure penalties are so niche that buffing them won't effect its overall power.
So with Monstrous Shrine they have a perk that can't be buffed so they'd need to rework if they'd want to make it better.

it isnt that hard the devs just dont care to. Most perks could just use a number buff. very few need a rework aka monstrous shrine.I know this is boring for most since most dont play smite but if you watched the first 7 mins of this you would see how a dedicated team handles balance and its insanely healthy for the game but the dbd just dont seem to care because they rarely touch perks.
