Passives for survivors.

I feel like all survivors should have their own passive ability that would always be on that specific survivor. Aside from their perks as I feel it would make it actually worth it to play other survivors once you’ve already unlocked the teachable perks. Does anyone else agree or have a similar wish?

I agree. It would make every survivor unique in a way. Right now, it doesn't matter which survivor you use as they can all have the same perks. On the other hand, however, passive abilities could make some survivors more useful than others so you'll keep seeing generally the same characters every game.

Maybe link it to the charms and make those useful. Have one of Claudette's charms increase healing another surv at +1% for her, and +0.5% for all other survs wearing it. Perhaps have Kate's charms vault slightly faster, Megan's drop exhaustion a lil faster, or Zarina heals downed survs a tiny bit more quickly.

Maybe Trapper's would allow him to break a pallet slightly faster, Nurse's fatigue drops a tiny bit, or Piggy's crouch speed gets a tiny buff, whatever. Very very small number boosts that fit the character, nothing game-breaking, but there are lots of possibilities here imo.

Of course this is adding rotini and ziti to the already complex spaghetti coding in the game. But it could be fun. Remember fun?

It would make certain survivors meta - and the rest dodged by other survivors.

And killers. If i see a squad of megs knowing her ability makes them move faster (just giving example) Im out.

Its cool on paper but i dont think its good for tge game

Pretty much how I feel. I personally make my survivors unique by not using teachables - if I want BT I play Bill. If I want DS I play Laurie. Forces me to make interesting builds and makes my survivors a lot more than skins. But that’s my personal choice. If survivors had a true difference between them some would be meta and you’d never see the others again. It’d still hurt variety, just in a different way.

BHVR say no, they don't want a hard survivor meta. I say the same.

Pass. I don’t want a meta tied to which skin I use.

I think picking a survivor based on aesthetics alone is kind of what I like about it. It makes me feel like I'm not forced to pick someone in particular. Survivors don't really need passives anyway, simply due to killer being the impactful role. It would bring even more things to the game that would need balancing, and I just dont feel like its worth it.

That's just my 2 cents tho
