TrU3Ta1ent (twitch) sitting at 72hour matchmaking lock...
How is this even possible... DEVS? he finished one game, sitting at 10min lock out and before our eyes it updates to 20 mins, then an hour, 2hrs, 12 hrs, 20hrs... 40hrs now just popped to 72 hours...
What's wrong with your servers that hackers can do this kind of thing on supposedly dedicated servers????

That's what happens when you don't add a "streamer mode" although lots of people request it. Just do the bare minimum devs, keep doing that...
Well, on the other side I am not surprised they chose tru3 as their victim since he has a bad behavior and is toxic and salty as well and blames other's for his own mistakes all the time.

@Claudette_Baguette everyone's entitled to their opinion; however hacking someone's stream isn't in any way behavior that should be justified regardless of the streamers opinion. Behavior needs to take steps to secure their servers to prevent this type of activity from occurring in the first place.

theres been alot of people messing with dbd streamers lately with ddos attacks and such

There have been threads where someone claims they got a 24+ hour ban for a single DC or that they didnt DC and got timed out, like I was...,.... thread after thread "nah you must be cheating"
"not possible you DCed 20 times probably"
over and over...

Lack of a streamer mode isn’t the problem here. What’s to stop a salty teammate from locking someone out for not playing how they want? You don’t have to be a big name streamer to get hacked, you just have to annoy the wrong person.
The problem here is that the ban system in this game is easily exploitable. This is really embarrassing for the devs. Between this and the log file exploits from before the last patch, I feel like Behaviour needs serious help with the security of their game.

yeah ok. Same problem, but when it affects a streamer, "someone get the devs" otherwise people brush it off just as you just did.

they removed his matchmaking ban, but that doesnt mean the problem is fixed.
said hackers could still very much give him a new one / affect others who dont have an audience, which is the thing that needs to be fixed first.
removing his ban was important, but not a fix.
i really hope they find a solution to this fast...

Which was exactly my point. When it happens to "noname guy" its "not possible" I mean, just this week there was a thread. "Not possible" was the common reply. "You must be DCing over and over" but when its Tru3,... you dont accuse him?
Yet, here we are with the same problem,... someone "I did not DC but got a 24+ hour ban"

How is that possible? Like Holy Crap devs your game is bugged AF, like yesterday my game lagged so hard throughout an entire match it was unbelievable

But @DrDeepwound does bring up a good point. How many regular players have had this happen to them just because a survivor wanted to be a dick that day? How fast do the Devs jump to a regular players defence in this position? Yes, streamers have a lot of people to back it up, but they shouldn't be the only ones to receive instant fixes when normal players suffer and receive zero help.

i agree entirely, but when it happens to a random player, its one report among hundreds or thousands of other people's reports about a ton of other random stuff. but for Tru3, there were almost 3,000 people there to report it. 3,000 people reporting something gets more attention than one person. i agree, a regular player shouldn't be ignored or shrugged off but its just simple math here, one report with maybe a screenshot as proof, or a live stream with an audience to make noise about it.

its not "not possible", but there is no proof for it.
its a lot more likely they are lying about them getting the ban "from one DC" or they did DC a few times without having 10 hrs of gameplay inbetween said DCs, than them being targeted by a hacker.
if the devs were to just unban everyone who claimed that "it wasnt their fault", the whole point of the DC penality would be lost as everyone would be abusing that now.
its possible its bugged, its possible hackers hacked you, but its a lot less likely - and without proof you have bad cards. Tru3 had plenty of proof, thats why he got it removed immediately.

i wasnt there when it happened, but uppon checking he did have a 72 hour ban, aswell as holding a lengthy monologe about hackers abusing the system, aswell as answering questions from chat asking him what happened with "i got hacked".

My entire point was there have been quite a few threads of people saying they got a timeout while not doing asnything, and I have never seen those people treated anywhere near the way streamers are. THey are literally called liar and cheater when we KNOW for a fact, something has been wrong with DC penalty issues

Yup. A lot of people on this forum are unaware that, shockingly, we're all playing the same game and experiencing the same bugs. It can't POSSIBLY be the case that someone else who isn't a streamer got a gamebreaking bug out of nowhere? Impossible!

But tru3 can't know that, he was just assuming it. I personally assume its a bug because it's more likely than a hacker who hands out timeouts to anyone he wants.

Is not a single dev going to say something? If that's a bug we have to remove the system till it fixed. I don't even want know how many players are sitting on multiple hours timeouts for not doing anything wrong.

Streamers can provide objective video proof of their statements. Every person who came to the forum complaining about this was extremely hostile and admitted to having disconnected a lot more than they'd first let on. Finally, it's laughably common for people to say "I was punished for X, but I'm actually innocent, I swear!", so excuse us if we don't take those people at their word and need proof.

He’s assuming it because hackers have done numerous similar things to him and other streamers in the past:
- forcing crossplay
- DDoSing
- spamming steam pop ups
- forcing themselves into the person’s SWF as a killer
There are tons of instances of people doing stuff like this with video evidence.

Crossplay was a bug I encountered myself and other streamers aswell.
DDoSing is something so simple that anyone can do that in 5 minutes. U can't compare it to the complexity of making a different account handing out timeouts as he wish. That could be having root access on developer level.
Spamming steam pop ups? I think this was just someone sending trade requests? Unless you have a source to show me that it was a hack.

Absolutely, it would not make sense to just blindly believe everyone claiming they never d/c and suddenly face a lengthy penalty. But that doesn't make it okay to call them all liars and NOT consider the other possibilities. Esp with all the bugs (and hacks) happening daily.
I haven't had an issue with d/c penalty myself. peace out :)

This is the problem. Using phrases like "Every person who came to the forums" was lying about how many times they disconnected, while seeing the video proof of Tru3s problem is exactly why I mentioned it.
So everyone else is lying, but Tru3 has vid so only he had the problem.
Its just an odd way to rationalize or think. We know there's a problem, we have vid proof of said problem, but everyone who made threads was lying. LOL

Every person who came to the forum (that I've seen) eventually admitted to disconnecting more often than first indicated, yes. This streamer has proof, so now the existence of an issue is confirmed. That doesn't mean every other person was innocent, especially when they themselves admitted they weren't.

Crossplay was able to be forced by hackers.
The steam pop ups and killer in survivor lobby are things I saw first hand but can’t find video of now. If I find them I’ll edit them into this comment.
All I’ll say is that it’s not difficult for people to hack this game, there are plenty of security flaws and the people doing it talk about it openly on forums and discord servers. Obviously I can’t and won’t give specifics, but if you think this is a secure game or hosted on secure servers you’re mistaken.
