Couldn't set my traps against high ping survivor
Does survivor having 600ms ping fk up the server so much that I can't set up my traps as trapper?

Yes, coming from someone who has horrible internet during storms I know that lag can be abused.

The Survivor Ping should not matter when setting Traps as Trapper. The Server could have had some problems (or maybe got DDOSed), but if a Survivor with bad Ping is playing, you should not have any problems with setting Traps.

Well the survivor didn't seem to enjoy it because he DC'd after few minutes.

Ok, weird. I doubt server was DDOSed because 3 other survivors could do gens just fine.

Both sides can abuse high ping. Dedicated servers didnt help at all, there is just another middle man who handles stuff that you cant see how laggy the game actually is.
Killers hits will have priority, thus you can be hit from 25 meters away by an m1. Also a survivor on whose screen your trap isnt set yet can easily run through, even though it is set on your screen.
Peer to peer was much better to avoid bullcrap on both sides, the issue was laggy killers being hosta (i.e. Any russian player hosting a game as a killer in European zone). But even then, if I saw 200 ping killer I knre how to handle stuff, now I get a server with 60 ping but the killer has 200 ping, in total there is 260 ping in play, because basically... NOTHING is handle serverside that actually matters the most for us.

Yeah I've noticed that high ping killers can hit from pretty far away.
