If perks didn't exist, would you still play?
Just asking because everyone gets mad about perks like DS BT NOED DH and blah blah blah if there were no perks at all, in the entire game, would you still play?
Cause it seems like self care mains would straight up quit, decisive users would quit, sprint burst users would quit and so on.
What's your take on this? Personally I feel the game never needed perks Because perks unbalance the game in either side, but rather it should require honed skills and perfect timing which would really create a scary intense gameplay like the DeVs WAnT. This game is the opposite of scary it's more just "wow another decisive user" or "wow they all escaped, again" or "wow another ebony Mori"

They also make the game far more interesting than it would ordinarily be.
So no, I probably would not play.

I would instantly uninstall if they got rid of perks. Perks like DS and noed aren't that annoying. And without perks, this game just becomes far more boring. Survivors all become the exact same, and killers become very simple.

I mean, if they never existed from the start, no one would quit because of something that they never had. Now, if the devs decided to remove them now, I believe that a lot of people would decide to quit, yes, because it would change the game a lot and not everyone would want to adapt. In my case, I would try to see if the game still worked well, in my opinion or it would be too hard or too unfair without any perks.

Hmm, didn't think of it that way

NOPE! I like being able to play a "support" type of role that just a pure Alex's toolbox or med kit alone can't fulfill.

I'd have to test that before saying yes or no.

Yes because its Dbd. I love the game. Itll be more realistic without perks anyways.

Would require massive balance changes as vanilla survivors are pretty strong whereas most vanilla killers are not.

This was the subject of a beta experiment in which I participated (as a survivor). I have not read any official feedback about it, but my feeling was that it pushed to play much more stealth, and that it increased the imbalances between the killers (the strongest were very strong, the weakest very weak). If the experience was interesting, it was less fun. Small additional note: it was also without items or addons, for survivors and killers.
This was before a lot of changes, before new killers, with the old Nurse, the old Spirit, maybe the old Freddy (?), before the map modifications...
If that can help determine which things are problematic outside perks, items and addons by "isolating the variables", it is not really desirable in my opinion.

The only way they can remove perks is to have certain perks as basekits.
Survivors will have passives and they'll all have special certain perks.
Same for killers.

It would get pretty boring and stale without any perks. They would at least have to rework survivors so they have individual traits, but then you will only see a few survs with the more competitive traits..
also with these lag hits and hit boxes you can’t really say this game should be about perfect timing etc. This game is way more casual than this, and the main problem is people are way too much on the competitive side and wanting to make the other side feel miserable..

I don' think it would be agood idea to do that at all but if they did that from the start then it would'nt be a big deal since no one expierienced the game with perks but now not a good idea.
