Sprint Burst

Pros:

Short speed increase

Dead-zone safety

On demand potential

+Vigil value

+Fixated value

Adrenaline-Sprint Burst mega speed combo

Easy killer whiff

Leave unsafe tiles during a chase

No requirements

Cons:

99% no activation glitch

Suction to hook after being saved

Delay after escaping the killer's grasp

Hindered status effect (Freddy snares)

Inexperienced survivors walking

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Dead Hard

Pros:

Loop extensions

Invincibility frames

Not effected by hindered

Dash distance

Dash over bear traps

Extra protection when exposed

+Shack loop time

Cons:

Killer exhaustion add-ons

Dedicated servers

Short range

Killer ping

Easily counterable

Injured requirement

Anticipated by killers

Doc's Shock therapy attack

Useless against insta-downs

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Final Verdict:

Sprint Burst is the superior exhaustion perk due to allowing players to sit in unsafe areas and it's potential to combo with other perks like Vigil for extra effectiveness.

Dead Hard is great for what if offers, but dedicated servers and things like exhaustion hatchets and chainsaws can completely negate the perk.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Feel free to list pros and cons of each perk that I may have left out.

    I'm a DH user myself.

The main benefit of using DH is it can save your skin at loops. Not to mention, you can dodge things like hatchets, spears, Nurse blinks ect.

They're both good exhaustion perks though.

DH is very popular in my rank 1 games (and for good reason).

I use both perks regularly, but the pros of Dead Hard aren't enough to outweigh the cons, whether they be intentional or not.

I think I'd prefer Sprint Burst because not only does it help in chases, it helps with repositioning for a save better than Dead Hard can.

There is a reason DH is frequently used by good survivors. It's because they know how powerful the perk is.

It's extremely powerful as long as it works. Dedicated servers are a big issue for the perk however. That's the largest con of using it. It's almost a 50/50 chance if it even works.

And yet the really good survivors still use it lol. I wonder why that is?

Sprint burst when you get caught out of position.

Dead hard when you want an outplay eraser.

I don't use either and prefer Lithe if I'm going to use an exhaustion perk.

Sprint burst is annoying because you can't fully control when it's used and I see some many sprint burst players walking around the map while i'm on hook and I end up struggling because they want to save their precious sprint burst 🙃

Dead hard is just too unreliable with the servers. Half the time it doesn't work, and then sometimes you'll become exhausted (meaning it should have worked) and still end up on the ground. Also once the killer knows you have it, they just wait for you to use it and then punish you immediately.

Of course Lithe as the downside of needing a window or pallet to use, but the only time I need distance usually is in a chase so that's when I need it. It helps me extend the killer shack loop sometimes too if the killer forces me around the unsafe door. I control when I use it and it's consistent unlike Dead Hard

My favorite exhaustion perk is Balanced Landing due to the stealth aspect of it, but both it and Lithe are far too map reliant.

Trick post. Lithe is superior exhaustion perk

I'll always use SB over DH. It's saved my ass in a deadzone so many times, especially against instadown killlers.

I don't constantly walk around with it either. I'll also use it to sprint to the next gen or hooked person. The only time I really save it is at the start of the match, but you spawn close to gens anyway.

I love being exhausted on the floor.

Jokes aside, I do believe sprint burst is better right now, when I play killer and I whiff because I forget what exhaustion perk they are using I usually end up still hitting the survivor.

Some things I usually hear from survivor main streamers, SB is more for gen jocking and dead hard is better for looping.

    depends on your play style.

    Sprint burst for Objective players

    Dead hard for Bold players

I'd like to add one pro to each:

SB: You can get value out of it before you are hit with killer's exhaustion addons

DH: You can survive with it when you are exposed so hooksaves during NOED are possible.

I haven't used SB in ages. I use DH occasionally but usually switch it off because of the amazing exhausted on the ground effect. I have been using more BL lately but most of my games I play without an exhaustion perk and do just fine in solo que.

Edit. Noticed that you already mentioned that DH pro.

    Dead hard counters many killers.

    Trapper --> DH over traps

Nurse --> She HAS to miss a hit

Doc --> DH through shock (so his anti loop abillity gets shut down)

    Huntress --> DH though hatchets

    Slinger --> DH though spear

PH --> Dh through his range attack

Plague --> Dh through her red vomit

Clown --> DH for distance even when slowed down

Pig --> Dh through dash (which is easy to counter with it)

Freddy --> Dh even when slowed down

+ easy to use to run loops longer.

DH isnt good if you use it on open spaces sometimes it doesnt work and youre exhausted on the ground and if it works the killer can catch up and get a hit anyways. But its uncounterable if used for distance at loops.

SB Is valuable every time, but I think DH is better because it can be used for more then SB.

Let alone DH over traps is insane.
