Nerf SWF.
I'm here writing this comment after I watched Tru3Ta1lent's recent video titled "LEATHERFACE IS HUGELY UNDERRATED IN DEAD BY DAYLIGHT #5". He highlights a very important issue that I and many other players who play Killer frequently (I play both Killer and Survivor pretty equally) would agree with, SWF is boring and gives survivors way too much of an advantage over the killer. Why? Because you can outplay them and hook them at every turn but because they coordinate gen rushing and such, it ends up not mattering because the game will be over in 5 minutes regardless.
In my experience, and according to Tru3 he also handles it the same way, is that the only way to handle SWF is by hooking 1 of them and slugging the rest. This is a boring and lame way to play the game. It's not fun for Killers, and it's not fun for survivors. His video perfectly encompasses that at the game's highest level. So why am I posting this? I saw a comment on that video (full credit to Tralo 127) that I wanted to highlight here because I think it's a good idea! I think Survivors in a SWF lobby of 3-4 should get a penalty to generator repair speed based on how many survivors there are. I don't think this should apply to 2 survivors because when I play with my one lonesome friend :( I notice we're not really at that much if at an advantage at all.
The penalty would be X% based on how many are grouped together. So like 5% per survivor in a 3 man SWF would be 15% to each of them. I think 5% or 8% would be fair as a penalty, I think 10% might be too much. Another thing to note is that this would ONLY effect the survivors in the SWF. So the 3 man SWF would all get the X% penalty, but the one solo survivor would just have normal repair speed. I truly do think it would seriously help out the Killer's if this would come to fruition, let me know what you think! I'd love to get your thoughts if you guys agree with this or disagree, please let me know why as I'd love to open a discussion about it! Thanks!
EXTRA NOTE: While I have you here I'm gonna plug my Open Letter post. I wrote a long Open Letter to the developers addressing a lot of major concerns and issues myself and many other members of the DbD community had with the game and how the developers present themselves and handle our issues. If you have problems with the game, and want to see an official developer response, please take a look at the post and if you do agree or disagree, comment on it to give it some traction, thanks: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/165978/an-open-letter-to-the-dead-by-daylight-developers-long-post/p1

Yeah this game highlights wonderfulky the issue with gen speeds. But what they did here can be done without a swf group if you have survivors running kindred and committed to getting gens done. Ive been on teams where weve gen rushed the ######### out of the killer and we were solos

I'm not saying it doesn't happen in soloq. But it's FAR less consistent compared to SWF groups where they will gen rush 95% of games. The idea highlighted here is to make gen rushing considerably less consistent among SWF groups.

It's a risk I'm willing to take.

And again generalizing SWF into always tryhards on voicecomms. This is getting lame. How long will people tell those lies til they understand how wrong this is?

Except that's what most SWF groups are? Especially in the higher ranks. Every SWF group I've encountered as a Killer ran insanely tryhardy builds and played excruciatingly try-hardy. It's not generalizing if a good amount of people among the community agree. Just because you and your group may not tryhard, doesn't mean that it isn't a problem for the majority. I'm guilty of it too when I play SWF, we all tryhard and win, cause it's easy as a SWF group.
