Potential Fix for Gen Rushing:
When a Gen is finished. A Grace Period should start for like 2 minutes where no generator can be worked on.
Before you say, oh that is so wrong and busted and will make the killer OP. Think about this.
These are 2 minutes the survivors can use and not worry about genarators. In this time they can:
- Heal themself or a team mate
- Cleans a totem or two
- Locate the hatch if possible
- Clear Killer traps
- Just hide.

Going to be honest, this is wrong and busted and will make the killer OP.
That's two minutes where the killer doesn't have to worry about committing to a chase, in which they don't have to worry about camping a hooked survivor because they know no gens will be done.
Camping would become meta with no counters because they can't do gens faster than the hooked survivor dies.

That means hook times and bleed out timer would need to be increased.
It also means a lot of just hiding as no one would want to be caught and would just sit out the timer making for very boring play.
DBD thrives of the engagement between the killer and survivors to make a system which lowers that wouldn't be fun.

Well the timer could always be lowered.
Also to counter the Camping aspect. It could be made that the moment a killer hooks some one. The grace time ends and gens are back open.
Though i do think informational killers would become more picked like the Doctor or Plague.

Well i mean the timer could always be edited and even made like 30 seconds.
And the camping thing would be worked around in my opinion. If you see a fellow survivor get hooked. Leave the Gen at 99% before unhooking them.
Another Possible fix for this is that the moment the killer hooks some one, the grace period ends. even if it has like 1 minute 50 seconds left.

"5. Just hide."
Man, thats fun gameplay! Pressing M1 and then hiding for 2 minutes, because any chase is actually bad for the Survivors.
The Devs are already working on something for early game. But I know exactly that those yellow Rank players who somehow made it into Red Ranks as Killer will keep complaining, because the game can become easier and easier, but it is still too difficult for some.

30 seconds is probably good enough however Gens can't lose progress or be hit by the killer if this were to be implemted

Of course. Just like how it is with Corrupt Intervention and such.

Corrupt is a bad example, because gens can't be worked on with corrupt. The better comparison would be thrilling tremors. The real question at this point is, does ruin or surge effect generators under thrilling tremors? Because if so, those would have to be paused.
Also, why should I be kicked off my gen because someone else completed theirs?
Lastly, though I hate everything about this idea and honestly think it should never be implemented, I just want to point out, anyone who thinks 2 minutes is balanced, really needs to just try getting better at killer.
This drastic change would most likely increase my kill rate from 77% to most likely 100% (if you exclude hatch escapes).

I feel like this might be a fairly poor decision for balance. Something like the killer getting a speed buff for X seconds after a gen is done might help. The moment they get into a chase, if the speed buff is still active, it will deactivate and they will return to their normal speed.
Maybe this could help with better map pressure?
Not sure. The devs are working on killer early game, though. We will see what they do in the upcoming months.

i see where you a coming from but i completely disasgree.
"genrushing" is a term used by killers who cant control the generators. if you space out chases and know when to end them, you will not get "genrushed"
if there was a grace period for 2 minutes after every gen is completed, that would literially be 10 minutes every single game where the survivors basically cant do anything except get chased. when i play at rank 1, games go for not even 5 mins and majority of the time there 4k's. if that was a thing, killers would be ridiculously overpowered.
a good killer will be able to avoid being genrushed by playing accordingly. im not trying to be insultive but if you think you need 2 minutes after every gen, you clearly do not no how control gens or apply gen pressure. just by reading this i can straight up say your either a terrible killer or just a new/low rank. no disrespect to you in any way but thats the only way it could be.
