The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Why is THIS killer perk weaker than its survivor perk counterpart?
Something I've been wondering for a while:
Why does Zanshin Tactics have a 30 second cooldown while Windows Of Opportunity has a 20 second cooldown?
Both perks do the same exact thing so isn't the killer version of the same perk supposed to be a lot stronger considering the 4v1 aspect? 🤔

You might be the first person who I've heard point this out.
I never thought about that.

it's not even about the cooldown, it's about how loops work. A killer doesn't gain much advantage in knowing where pallets are, because survivors control looping. The only thing killers can do with this perk is trying to block the way to some loops, but it's such a useless perk for killers.

Same

It has also has longer range than WoO, though. So, that sort of balances it out.
Also, it's a perk that comes in play in 1v1 situations, so the 4v1 aspect is not really that important in this case, imo.

Yeah like....
Hag and Trapper are the only 2 that can fully benefit from it.

The range difference is only 4 meters, though. That's almost trivial compared to the 10(!) second cooldown difference.

I just don’t understand why either of these perks has a cooldown. It’s not a strong enough effect to warrant it, in my opinion.

Hard to quantify one and the other on the same scale, but we know for sure that one is better in one aspect and the other in another. I'd say that the 30 sec cooldown is not really that apparent, at least for an m1 killer.
I'd also say that both perks could lose their CDs and they'd still be far from strong.

I definitely agree there. Not sure why some perks even have a cooldown in the first place when they aren't even all that impactful.

Can someone remind me why the two even need a cooldown when they do such a minimal effect

Zanshin Tactics should be reworked to trigger Bloodlust immediately every time a survivor interacts what’s whatever’s highlighted yellow for the killer. So if they’re juggling you in a safe spot they’ll be punished as the killer becomes increasingly faster in a shorter amount of time. Instead of using 15 seconds for T1 it would already be BL T2 in 15 seconds. Then when you hit the survivor ZT goes away for a while, and so does Bloodlust. After all this is the Oni. A bloodthirsty demon.
As or rn that move is completely useless on the killer.

There are several perks like this, where it would be fair to make them equally useful for survivor and killer. Yours is a good example. Another one that comes to mind are BBQ/We're going to live forever.

are you sure about it? as killer you can chose on which side you break pallet, in what direction are you running in jungle gyms or T/L walls
and you can decide ok lets break this pallet when survivor is on side where there isnt single pallet xd
ofc you may tell its survivor who runs 1st to jungle gym, but hes running away from you so as killer you can freely change direction at gym

I was thinking of the exact same thing about a week ago. Was thinking what could make the perk better but I'm sure in some builds it's good. Was wondering what it would be like if Zanshin Tactics had two charges with the same cooldown similar to how Nurse Blink recharges. Would it be too strong, viable or still weak?

Image Zanshin tactic allow you to destroy a non-dropped pallet every 300sec...
I mean in each DLC, Killer & Survivor have counter perks of each other. (Yui reuse dropped pallet)

survivors can abuse 3rd person camera, at every common loop there's a safe spot from which survivors can check where the killer is coming from. Not to talk about those all-seeing loops, like Thompson's house fences, where all you need to do as survivor is not being dumb.
the only things a killer can do is looping in a certain way, so that the survivor takes a mid-vault, or zoning, which doesn't always secure a hit.

are you sure you understand what i wrote?
as killer you can break pallet from side where survivor CANT run to other pallet (ofc thats not always possible) but with amount of dead zones its not that rare, many killers dont pay attention from which side they are kicking pallet (even when pallet is in clear dead zone, corner of the map they are kicking it from the side of wall)
as killer youre forcing direction how loop is ran, if you want to run clockwise survivor HAS TO run clockwise as well (he wont run to you) xd, so you can make it impossible to fast vault windows/ connect other pallets
