Infograhpic of killers with power meters/without
Neat little chart I came up with. Shows the majority of designs now include a power meter or cooldown in some form or another.
Range and trap based killers seem to be immune to it (so far) (excluding Freddy's teleport of course)

Damn, you are really butthurt about Power Meters, are you? Opening 3 Threads about it in less than 1 hour. I am impressed.

Where is a single complaint in this thread? It's purely because I found it interesting and so might others.
Miss me with that trash.

And whats the purpose of this infographic?

Info, I guess.

Trapper Huntress Slinger and Clown all work off of an ammo system which is basically a cooldown.

To show how many killers have a cooldown or power meter. It's also interesting to take in the history of it and see some killers that were moved into the cooldown category.
I will repeat. There is no purpose to it other than to show how many do/don't have a cd. Anything you take away from it is entirely on you.
@JasonS Yes but you have agency entirely over it. There is no time you are not in direct control of how much traps/ammo you have. (I guess barring Trapper having to pick them up but I digress)

do pig traps count as "power charges"?

For consideration any power where you had 100% control of when to use it was not considered a power meter or cooldown. This extends to killers that have to reload when they choose to shoot.
With Pig you choose to put the RBT on whenever you want. There is no cooldown between them or power meter. I guess she could go into the misfit category, but with her I had her crouch in mind as her main tool/ability, and the RBT's as any other trap.

Well you also have 'agency' about when you put your cooldown powers on cooldown.
The only one who really doesn't have much control is Myers because its based on how long the Survivors let you stare at them, or Oni where its based on how the survivors act while injured.

But you no longer have a choice when on CD. That's the biggest issue.
You can choose to use a CD power whenever you want but after that there is a set time where your choices disappear and you're an m1 killer.

Except Myers. His power meter isn't a cooldown.

Same goes for Oni actually

In one post you claim there's no purpose and people should take away from it whatever they want and then you turn around 6 minutes later and claim there's an issue. Either state your opinion and argue it or don't.

Basically all older killers that haven't been reworked yet have no powerbar. They still have cooldown, but they feel more organic, by adding animations (like pre-nerf Billy or Nurse), or an logical amount of limited uses (like Trapper, or Huntress). With the newer killers (which started with Spirit), they just slap on a powerbar to cut the time having to make animations/balance brainstorming.
Its a really lazy approach Behaviour is doing with this.

But they both have power meters and are central to their kits.
No. The infographic is just for info. I was arguing my opinion in response to another comment.

Power meters are just a method of conveying info. They are using it to convey charge progress in this case rather than a cooldown.
It's no more a cooldown than Deathslinger reloading his gun is.

But Deathslinger feels so much organic, does he not? I don't believe power meters are very organic a majority of the time.

Btw of my own original Killer ideas
8 of them probably would not use a Power meter while 6 of them probably would.

A mix of them is great tbh. There are definitely powers out there that would warrant a power meter or cooldown.
I praise the way they did it with PH. A power meter that limits but does not outright stop you from playing how you choose, when you choose. I really wish they did that to Nurse instead of the cut and dry version we got.

Some so some don't.
Myers and Spirit have always felt natural to me. Ghostface doesn't. I don't play the other Killers on that list so I won't speak for them.
Of the hybrid Killers Demogorgon has never felt like an issue to me and Freddy's does but is strong enough to justify it.
