How do I know I'm facing SWF
First off I'm curious I've faced a lot of survivors and with many perks that are almost exactly the same, like I've faced a group one tiem at end game chat I saw they had 4 DS, 3 DH, 4 Borrowed, and 2 Iron will, and 2 Prove thy self, so I knew right then that this was not a coincidence, and I've seen it more often, with perks almost exact, and I recently faced two survivors who had exact perks and were being super toxic to me, and rude, to the other survivors, but also gameplay they always unhooked someone as soon as I put them on it so my question is, are they Swf?

The only real way is to check friends list on steam in pre-game lobby. In red ranks for the past 32 games in a row there has been a minimum of 2 if not 3 SWF in every game. I've been keeping track in a log of every game ive played since getting red ranks as killer. You see more solo play in every rank other than red and its incredibly frustrating going against SWF every damn game.

ah I see

You never know. 4 years in and there's still no SWF indicator.
5 -
Wish there was

Players would just dodge if they see it in the Lobby.
Having the same Perks is btw. no Indicator at all. Survivors only have like 6 Perks which can be considered Meta, just logical that the Builds all look roughly the same.

Okay that helps I was just curious?
2 -
Oh wow yeah I've been getting many games like that
2 -
Probably not.
I used to do that, but then I realized I was just never getting to play any games.
No matter what the devs claim, SWF groups are extremely common. And if you're low ranked, almost every game some nights will be against red rank + 1 lowbie SWF's hunting you.

SWF is so common at high ranks, it's best to just assume that your match will include a 2 man at minimum.
3 -
Actually just make it so we can see at the END of the match, not in lobby. I just wanna know without having to go profile to profile...

If there is an OoO its almost guaranteed its an SWF and you must buckle up for an almost impossible game.
2 -
Yeah thats sounds better
Yeah I've figured that as much

If 2 gens are done on your first down

Yeah thats kinda the whole point of having an swf indicator: so we can get the hell outa there. Rather survivor or killer I dont like swf teams.
1 -
Yeah I've recently had games like that but again I asked out of random curiosity.

Main goal of survivors is to play together and escape and its in game to make a group so what does it matter?
Next thing is removing u can play together with friends in ranked matches or what?

swf at high ranks would correlate with with the trend of killer buffs/survivor nerfs.

Look at their friends on steam, xbox or playstation. Look to see if their perks are in a similar order to each other. It's not easy but there are ways.

Technically a survivors goal is to survive, something akin to 'prisoner's dilemma'.
They won't remove swf, or we would get lobby wars again, just like we had at release.

I usually base it on how quickly I get destroyed. Really good red rank solo survivors will take their time to embarrass me wheras an SWF, even if they are mediocre will be on the bus back to the campsite while I am still half way through setting my traps.

There is no in game voice chat or even in game txt chat, right? There is a reason why aura skills exist, why there is no build in chat etc. Survivors should not communicate.
SWF should be only Private to play with 5 friends.
2 -
True there is no voice chat.
Not everyone has 4 friends on at the same time and they have implent this for a reason in ranked matches i quess.
I think alot would leave of boredness if it would be removed .. I do play solo alot but after a few matches watching to this screen dead silent im ready for a break. Mostly if i play together then its with a friend so 2 man party thats it

According to the dev stats I recall from the past, something like 70% of matches have SWF in some form whether its 2,3, or 4 on the team.
However, most will still be lackluster at the game and just playing with friends,.. you will KNOW without a doubt when you get a 3-4man SWF that will bully you. But dont give up, battle them often and get better and one day you will stand over their corpse in the fog.
or youll get a ton of BP and lose with dignity that you did not give up and kept fighting on, but you will learn their tactics as time goes on.

Thanks for the self confidence <3

More than half of all survs are at least a two-man SWF. If we separate out half or more of the survs from the pool queue times would soar. And custom games do not give bp either. Any separation and we'd be back to Survs dodging lobbies again to get in a match with their buds, also sending lobby times higher.
Do you solo when you play survivor? The odds say no.

The issues arise from everything in the game being balanced around solo queue only. Having communication breaks the game, badly. What we need is some sort of handicap system that, perhaps, makes any SWF squad rank higher than its individuals once we get SBMM.

They wont indicate SWF and NON SWF teams. Because if it was a SWF. Most killers would LOBBY DODGE the groups.
I will admit I lobby dodge anything that has "TTV" in the name title. Since those people generally run as a SWF team. I know that TTV is also a disaster for the survive side. 3 SWF + 1 pug is a recipe for disaster. The killer generally has their smartphone in hand, opens their channel and STREAM SNIPES them. So that is the last thing we need.

When the 4 default dwights suddenly switch to Legacy P3 Claudettes and Jakes with flashlights and toolboxes at the very last second, 3 hook distance offerings and a haddonfield offering are burned, and as soon as you load in you see one of the survivors teabagging you across the map with Object Of Obsession.

oof that it is rough, I don't ever want that at as swf team ever
