Tunneling those with crowns
Hey so I just really wanna know what’s up with so many killers sweating for 4k’s, and tunneling survivors who find crowns. Killers just have to find it and can just go do nothing and still get it if they really want so what’s the point in ruining the event for survivors? Running specific perks to ensure you get the 4K, tunneling anyone with the glow, camping hooks and crown spawns like I seriously don’t get it.

Just because youre glowing doesnt mean you havent already unlocked the crown.
I wish survivours wouldnt glow unless they had previoisly unlocked the crown. Glow because they are greedy (lol) and get called out to the killer. But not glow if you havent unlocked the crown. It would make it funner for survivours. Thats for sure.

I don't tunnel crown peeps (hell, I don't tunnel period) BUT with that being said, I think survivors underestimate how much easier it is to see their Twilight Sparkling Asses when they have the crown picked up. They're way easier to find when they try to hide and when they run/walk, they leave a trail of sparkles behind them like a super fabulous Hansel and Gretel.

Hello yes. I dont know if you know this. But killers are supposed to kill 3-4 people, its their objective in this game. "Sweating for 4k" is kind of weird way of saying that they are trying to win. I cant speak to your specific case, but the glow and crowns can make you easier to see at times so in some cases they simply might be the only ones they find. Not saying this is the case, just saying its possible.
And some people just wanna be dicks. Congratulations, if you have played killer at the start of this event you would have met a ton of survivors "sweating" to escape. Now that most people have their crowns its not as difficult. Ignore it and move on to the next game, its not a bigger deal than you make of it. Just say gg and dont fall for any baits or flame he might throw your way. Its only feeding their ego.

It's way easier to see a sparkle party so of course you'll get found and chased more. As for killers trying to 4k, duh, same reason survivors try to do 5 gens. Do you think survivors should just stop doing gens before 5 too?

To answer some of these questions, yes I know killers are supposed to kill 3-4 people, I play killer sometimes to it’s not a fact I’m ignoring. There’s a difference between playing the game like normal, and just straight up screwing people who want an event cosmetic over. And yea the sparkles makes it easy to see them it’s kind of annoying it just puts a big target on their back but when I play killer I’ll let people who find the crown leave. I’ll play the match normally I’ll chase, hook, and kick gens but I’m not going to tunnel someone who just wants an event cosmetic so again what’s the point in overly sweating everyone can have fun, everyone can try and find their crowns. I’m not saying killers shouldn’t kill (defeats the purpose of being a killer) I just don’t see what’s with the sweat? And yes survivors are going to sweat to leave when literally every match they play the killer comes tunneling them. I have yet to play a match as a survivor where I felt like I was being screwed over, where I haven’t been tunneled and face camp, and I just don’t see the reason for it.

I never said getting a 4K in itself is sweaty but maybe I just worded it wrong. Killers have been tunneling and face camping, bringing perks to ensure the 4K as in “nobody but me gets the crown”, killers have actively been trying to screw survivors and turn an event into a chore. Like I said I play killer to, I’m not ignoring killer objectives, if I get a 4K I get a 4K, but I’m not gonna tunnel and make sure nobody has fun, those killers who are trying to make the event unfun are sweating, not regular killers just doing their job, I’m talking about the over abundance of killers who have made it their mission to ruin things by sweating so hard.

I feel like the point is being missed, I’m not asking why killers are just doing their jobs, I’m asking what’s up with so many toxic and sweaty killers coming out the blue ruining an event for survivors and making other killers look bad, this isn’t a “crybaby survivor wants his way” discussion, this is just trying to see why is an event we should all be enjoying been so bad with this big boom of tryhard killers making everything so unenjoyable, I would understand if their were requirements for them to get a crown making them play harder, but killers just get it for free, so what’s the point in denying someone an event cosmetic during a period where we can all just chill out and have some fun games?

Would licensed characters not glow because they have no crown to unlock or glow because they're greedy taking crown when they know they can't unlock it?

It’s been a case of both from what I’ve seen, though at this point if a licensed survivor is glowing their being greedy, which by all means tunnel and kill them, those guys are a different topic on their own.

What is this "boom of tryhard killers"? Did people NOT try to kill you before the event? Are they extra-killing you now?
If anything, I see killers constantly letting people go now. I spent literally two nights straight not killing a single person. I got nothing but ######### on for it, but I still did it to try to be the nicer person. (Learning my lesson about that now, let me tell you.)

Not saying they didn’t lol, I’m talking about these killers who will tunnel anyone who finds a crown, face camp them, and then on top of that run NOED, Devour, and blood warden to make sure no one leaves with a crown. Every game I’ve played they target survivors with crowns which I still don’t get, I have only seen they most toxic of killers in my matches. But from what I’ve seen this is a console issue, PC folk don’t seem to be dealing with it to our extent. Btw If they were toxic I have no problem with you or any killer putting them in their place lol I’m sorry about that hopefully you get people who aren’t complete pricks.

I find myself going after glowing survivors more, simply because they're easier to spot. Especially if they have crowns equipped.
As for 'sweating for the 4k,' I play Plague at red ranks. I'm already punished in the emblem system for doing so, with a 4k, I can black pip.

Eh, they get a few points for it.
As a killer main, I've been going easy on people, but also trying not to depip hard. Points also matter since the stacked cakes are fixed. So I've been chasing a lot, hooking enough, but avoiding any sort of camping or tunneling. That no longer applies if a survivor gets toxic, and applies less if they actively wore a crown in the match or are licensed.

To be fair, when survivors have to actually tryhard to get the crown vs the killer can just be goofing off if they really want to it makes sense, mostly because a lot of killers just straight up screw people looking for a crown over every match.

Yeah when I play killer I’ll still do my job to get my points, I’m just saying there’s no reason to for so many killers being pricks though. I main Spirit mostly so I can get any amount of kills I want just playing normally but every time i let those with the glow leave at the end, mostly because Ik how bad it is trying to get it rn.

Hmmmmk, the killer doesn’t get your crown if he kills you. Ya’ll are blowing this way out of proportion. You probably just got tunneled because that’s what the killer felt like doing. I’m sure the crown has nothing to do with anything.

Thanks for giving a good, non toxic answer. I can understand that reason, if someone has a crown (I have it for Yui and Jeff rn) they’re free game, though since I’m not a red rank I can get away with 1-3 kills, hooks, kicked gens, chases, and not worry about a depips so I find it a lot easier letting one or two people who found a crown go.

Ik they don’t get my crown that’s not what I was saying, they can load in find a crown and finish no problem, I don’t generally get on killers for anything and if they weren’t acting the way they have in all the games I’ve played I wouldn’t say anything either, though after so many games you can see the pattern. I find a crown, instant tunnel, teammate finds a crown instant tunnel, gates are open, tunnel the survivor with the crown. Plus it seems this is a console problem right now, from what I’ve heard PC is business as usual.

Or you're just experiencing a bias here and the killer would be killing you anyway, but you're rationalizing it as being targeted somehow because you're upset about it.
(OR the glow just makes you REALLY easy to see, so the killer keeps finding you with it.)

Killers don't specifically target people who have collected crowns in my experience. However, it may very easily seem like that since you emmitt a glow effect. This leads to you being found more often which results in the killer chasing and hooking you more often.

I considered wether I was just getting mad at some bad luck, but after playing so many games Ik I’m not just being some biased survivor. I have with my own eyes seen a lot of killers go after those with glows despite efforts from me and my team to get them to chase us for a while instead.

I play Killer too, I’m not 100% a survivor main, these questions came from someone just trying to get crowns for his favorite survivors after getting them for his killers. It’s been plenty of times I’ve let the killer get me after the others leave, dispute how annoying and toxic other survivors can be I don’t go into games trying to bully the killer, I want them to have fun same as me and my team when I am playing survivor.

i can see why you would think it’s just BS, I ain’t mad at it. Sorry For all the crappy survivors I’ve dealt with them too, just know we ain’t all bad and we do want killers to have some fun too. Good luck on the next trial.
