So another skin that can't be mixed?
Comments

I buy all of neas sets as she is my main, unfortunately due to this locked skin I can't do it. I will not spend money on a skin that doesn't let me mix and match
2 -
Exactly and as someone else mentioned above, our wallets mean more to BHVR than what we say on the forums and from this 6 page thread 90% of the ppl in it say they won't buy sets cuz they can't mix and match, i like u love the head but nothing else from the set so im not buying it, before i'd just buy the head but rip

Except they could separate every skin set they've released so far very easily. The high waist on this outfit looks dumb anyways so lowering it while making it look better wouldn't be difficult to do. It can and should have been done as separate pieces.

what a bad surprise not to be able to separate the components of the skin ... I was thrilled at the idea of being able to immediately try the new Nea head, which seemed beautiful with its mask, and instead I was very disappointed. I played more than a dozen games tonight and didn't meet any Nea with the new set

Might as well post this screenshot here as well for those who don’t know yet, but the upcoming Jane and Clown skins will also be sets.

Ugh, I swear to god, if I like that Jane head, I'm going to be PISSED!

I understand the comsetics being linked for the Legendary skins, however the only legendary skin we have received is the Lisa skin.
My questions are these:
-Will these linked cosmetic outfits be released as 3-piece outfits like prior?
-Why the change in releasing linked skins, wouldn't 3-piece outfits have 3 times more likelihood to be purchased, with roughly a 33% chance of each piece being purchased? (Example: I would love to purchase the cosmetic for The Executioner, but the outfit being linked rather than free to customize discourages me from buying.)

Theres ZERO reason why that headpiece for Jane needs to be linked. The legs and torso make sense to be linked but let us buy the headpiece separately.
5 -
If they begin creating one piece dresses and other more complex outfits, I think that's awesome. Although it would still be nice to customize the parts that won't create clipping issues.
Let's consider the possibility that Cheryl's green rarity cosmetics weren't Konami's call to be made into a set and it was done to avoid clipping issues with the long vest and her green skirt. When selecting the vest, make it lockable to the jeans and not compatible with the skirt. However, when selecting the head or legs make them mix-and-matchable with her other cosmetics.
Just saying cause I'm definitely looking forward to the ladies getting some cute dresses. But I certainly hope we get to at least be able to mix and match the heads.....

Where did you find those

They're in the background in the picture of the reedem a code screen they showed.

They are hidden in the background of the new redeem code screenshot that was posted in the developer update. All you need to do is raise the exposure and you can see them.

Even if it looks like a one piece dress, it's not. The dev's still split it up and create icons and descriptions for each individual piece. Aleesa's dress is split at the waist and I'm sure Jane's will be too. We're just unable to change them.

Speaking of clipping, will the Devil Face mask horns be adjusted to not clip through the classic shroud?

well i like play as nea i love the pants but i not buy it.

I left a comment on your page. Share the dirty deets!! :P

I prefer to play as Joey and the masks are also nice. My current outfit is Christmas Joey(Season's Killing) with Devil May Care mask(Morbid Grin), looks really nice. I would have liked to have Concealed Intentions(November Days Frank's mask) with the hood from the outfit together.

Another person of culture who can see that Joey is the best Legion member

Where did you find those?

They're in the background of that reddem a code image they posted.

Oh cheers

It’s not a “new feature.” It’s a “how can we make more money”
that’s it. The EGC was a new feature. The rift was a new feature. This is just...expected at this point.

Hurray! Two more skins I'll never buy! Thanks Behavior :)
Also the legs and torso look like they can be easily separated, you can see the separation line that could EASILY go with her other cosmetic sets
1 -
That doesn't look bad actually, all they'd have to do is add some shaved hair in the back and it'd look great! All the more stupid how they forced this into a set.
0 -
And yet Feng's overly long day off wrap exists and it works fine with her cosmetics, literally none of Cheryl's cosmetics have an excuse for it. Not to mention none of these cosmetic sets look like they benefit at ALL from being forced into linked sets. They all can be separated easily and SHOULD be separated.

The back of the head doesn't look bad, they just didn't finish it, all in needs is that shaved fade all the way around and it'd look amazing. Too bad they made the dumb decision to lock all 3 pieces to a set, will never buy any of these set cosmetics until I can mix and match them.
1 -
Yeah i dunno hopefully this doesn't become a common pattern. Either way, I only find it acceptable if its a ONE PIECE dress or a similarly complex outfit that wouldn't make sense to separate. Either way, whatever pieces that aren't linked within the head/top/legs should remain interchangeable.
2 -
Yeah, but from what they've shown so far it hasn't shown at all why they need to be linked, not even Jane's or Cheryl's dresses need to be linked, they could be easily split. Maybe if they do something like a wedding dress, but even then making an excuse for a linked set would have to be something REALLY crazy.

When I think of a one piece dress I picture something where the skirt blends seamlessly with the top (no tucking in, no belt separating the skirt, no overlays of the top like Feng's dress). That'd be cool but I still think in that event only the top/legs should be locked and the head should be interchangeable. Dresses that tuck into the skirt or are met with a belt could be split into the standard top and legs like we have seen.
IMO the sets should be a separate category and should only be for complex cosmetics that can't be mixed with others. So for example if you select a one piece dress it will lock the top/legs but you can choose the heads like mentioned above. If you select a complex top that, for some reason, is locked with the head due to the design then the legs should be mixable, etc.
Hell I'm a major fan of customization and not gonna lie for the longest time I've been hoping that they'd make the shoes a separate category so we can mix and match with the legs. But I'm just dreaming at that point

These sets are still always split. They each have their own icon and description. The game just doesn't allow you to change them. Here is an example for Aleesa's dress:
As you can see, even though we can't split it, the dev's still create them as individual pieces. And the same will be done for Jane's dress. It will be split at the waist, but we just can't change it ourselves.
2 -
I mean, Lisa is kinda lit and so are the Legion and Nea skins. It just sucks you can't mix them. (Especially Legion's since the bunny skins are just recolors of each other)
0 -
Yep I know that's why I'm saying I would only understand the reasoning behind it for one piece dresses or similarly complex cosmetics.
Not defending the current sets.
0 -
Yeah that makes sense. I'm just saying we'll never get a true one piece dress, as these set cosmetics are still always split into pieces, even if we don't have the option to change them.
Even if something looks like a traditional dress, behind the scenes, it's still divided into pieces. It's unfortunate but it is what it is.
1 -
I agree, i just wish you could use some of the less problematic pieces (Heads mostly) on other outfits.
0 -
If they made sets a separate category then it wouldn't show in either the tops or bottoms and possibly wouldn't be split up. I'd hate to be running around in a dress and having the textures stretch where the skirt meets the top. Butttt with that being said if they can somehow make it tuck in but blend perfectly while keeping them as two separate mixable pieces that would be much better.
When worn together, the two pieces could appear to blend together as a dress. When just wearing the top, they could add a hem to the bottom and the same thing on the skirt they could add a belt when worn separately. That might be a little complex but for the price we pay for these cosmetics its not too farfetched

This is true for survivor as well, if the outfit is mostly just a shirt and pants we should be able to swap head pieces to our liking. This isn't really true for the Nea skin, but why can't we at least use the head piece on different outfits?
0 -
The pants go up to her stomach and her charms are equipped at the front. That seems like a bit of an issue for making it customizable
0 -
But it is, you can easily separate all 3 parts of this new Nea outfit. All they'd have to do is either make the hood part of the headpiece (like Bunny Feng) or make it so that the hood goes down (like it shows in the promo image) with every other headpiece so that it doesn't clip. The workarounds to make this into all being separate would be simple and it's baffling how they haven't done them.
0 -
The problem is the fact the pants go up above her stomach
0 -
They can make them shorter, it'd make it look less ridiculous in the process. It's clearly an excuse for them to make it seem like it has to be a set instead of separate. It looks like they forced the pants to be too high instead of the normal waist length. Even worse is that those pants would look better if they were shorter, but hey the devs gotta make a poor excuse for this forced linking somehow
0 -
I completely understand what you're saying especially since i was looking forward to customizing the hoodie with different pieces like the crown or some of the skirts she has. That being said, I think it's a cool outfit and their reasoning behind it makes sense. They want to make outfits outside of the box that wouldn't work with other pieces without worrying about major clipping. I'm still pissed it's a set, but I understand why at least. More outfits like this will be released and it's inevitable. At least it means more outfits will be released and they will be different than usual outfits.

Unless if they stop doing the idea because of backlash, which is the outcome I hope happens
0 -
I won't be buying a set. No originality and seems boring and lazy.
2 -
I think the skin looks awesome but the legs look awful and I'd replace them in a heartbeat.
0 -
I bought the Nea set, but I'm so disappointed that it is linked and can't be mixed with other outfits.
This completely destroys the individuality of the players and makes the characters more boring. Also as killer it is harder to tell survivor apart if everyone is using the exact same outfit. It only brings negative effects with it.
If I remember correctly they stated that the reason is to prevent the outfits from clipping. But 1st: guess what, the new Nea outfit still does it and 2nd: not any single soul ever cared about that, ever.
I'd rather have my outfits clipped through everything as long as I can mix them.
It probably makes sense for Legions Rabbit outfits or Lisa as legendary skin, but there's zero reason for any other cosmetics to be linked.
This decision makes me extremely unhappy and I won't buy any liked outfits again.
I really hope BHVR will revert the inked cosmetics.

Hopefuly they do, i mean just this thread is 7 pages of ppl saying they won't buy them and that no one wants them, so BHVR get on it pls thank u <3

Glad the rift has to stretch out the rewards over 70 tiers so those cosmetics very likely won't be locked sets! Perhaps these cosmetics are to indirectly encourage more rift pass sales and thus a more active player base?
Personally I dislike the sets, apart from the licensed cosmetics. Even then it'd be a shame if new stranger things cosmetics, for example, can't be mix and matched. I'm looking forward to seeing what they'll do with the feature, but I still doubt I'll buy them unless they have a cool set for shards.
1 -
I feel the same way for sure.

Imagine if they were, you'd unlock the parts but could never equip them if you didn't get all three; too bad if you have a social life! xD

but why charge full price for a linked set?
