Tired of toxic players?
I'm tired too, it's seems to me that this Is what takes away more emotion and fun from the game and I also think that many players take away the desire to continue playing. This is why in my opinion there is a simple solution, other games implement behavior matching, they have algorithms that allow measuring the behavior of the players, of course also by reports among other things and the lower your behavior is, the game seeks to match you with rivals and allies that have similar behavior, so if that system were implemented in dbd the toxic killers would have to deal with toxic survivors and vice versa, I think this would greatly improve the overall behavior in the game and provide a better experience for all players, new and old.

Yeah, letting reports dictate anything would be a terrible idea. Ask Xbox players.

People have various definitions on what “toxic” actually is. We couldn’t implement a system over 1 word that is so sporadically understood by the community.
And if, by some weird act of lunacy, the Devs would actually consider this, queue times would be EVEN longer...bad idea.

And how would we determine what players are "toxic" enough to be in the special matchmaking?

Yeah a lot of what gets called toxic is "I got outplayed and am frustrated by it". I'm sure some people make reports purely because they lost and are unhappy about that. I still think the report systems plays a purpose. People who indulge in abusive, threatening, racist, sexist post game chat should be called out for it and suffer consequences.
While there is obnoxious behaviour in game the only real measure of toxicity would be the level of abuse leveraged at others in post game chat. But someone would have to be trawling through the chat logs of every game to see that only the most abusive/obnoxious gamers get paired with each other. Its best just to cut your losses when you get a bad game and ignore the post chat salt win or lose.
Often reading chat makes everyone a loser.

Didn’t F13 do something like this? Based off of being reported for bad sportsmanship, abusive chat, or cheating (with proof, of course) you got put into this server called the “Salt Mines” where you and all the other toxic players can pretty much indulge in toxicity with each other and leave others alone.

Close end game chat and treat it like a single player game. If you are talking about those that are toxic in game, then your only option is the reporting system at the end of matches.
The game was designed to be frustrating and you have to come to terms with this in order to be at peace with it. All the tools that players use to frustrate you were provided to them by the developers.

I think they might have, I'd have to check with my uncle who's been playing since the very beginning, but the F13 Devs have since stopped caring about the reporting system.

Yeah, let me know pls. And yes, I do know they stopped supporting the game in general because of the legal issues.

I'm talking about an algorithm, something to be really sure about when, for example the killer is camping, and how many times he did it... Not just the reports. The same with toxic survivors, many online games with comunities who where a little toxic have improved with changes like this.
