dont you guys care about your money? cause i do, if i spend money on something, is better be worth it, i spend money on something that out of nowhere gonna change into worthless crap.

Some of you guys are like bankers from a cartoon.
Calm Down. All of his perks just got a massive buff too if anything as well as his addons. One of his addons literally let him keep charhing for an injured hit through chainsaw pallet breaks.

No, you can't refund skins. That's pretty dumb.
6 -
I'm glad you aren't taking the "nerf" seriously like other people it's refreshing, Thanks for the laugh mate

Ha no

then dont buy anything in a live service game, ever, because it is always subject to change. thats how these games work, things will be changed, buffed, nerfed, ect. if anything, take this as a lesson for future in game purchases
8 -
Well micro transactions are non refundable and the billy nerf we knew about when doc got reworked so it wasn’t out of the blue

I'm reminded of Star Trek Next Gen and the capitalist alien race of the Ferengi. Their #1 rule of acquisition is this
"Once you have their money......never give it back"
If the devs haven't given people refunds for buying Ash after they nerfed MoM, you ain't getting #@$% back lol

It's written somewhere in the store, TOS or something specifically that in-game purchases are non-refundable. So basically anything and everything in the entire in-game store. That's why people are chuckling to themselves / laughing at you.
If you bought DLC on Steam you can refund it, so long as you have played the game for less than 2 hours since your purchase. But this does nothing to solve your problem of you buying a Hillbilly skin within the game.
2 -
There is nothing stopping you from using the skin so I'm guessing you will never get a refund.

So it is written. The customer is voicing his displeasure. People like that don't buy more of the same product, which the game makers want to be aware of.

someone tell me this is bait.
the EULA saus you cant refund purchases.

i already know that they wont refund it, but they should look at it and know that people are not pleased with bad decisions and they will lose customers, because im not gonna spend a penny on killers anymore lel :)

exactly my point.

If you're Australian you are guaranteed a refund due to consumer protection laws :D

Wish they could, all I can recommend is you not spend money on this game anymore.

only miserable people will laugh at other human beings, just saying.

yep ive spend a lot of money on it but thats enough.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger.

At least try the bloody changes. You just look petty right now, even more so when you consider that the changes potentially aren't even final anyway.

You sound like a naive person to think that in any multiplayer game there will be no balance made to characters that you personally invest money into.
It is a major nerf but let's be honest here who wasn't expecting this? Why are hillbilly players acting surprised?
Look at every other killer, how they are designed, how their abilities will come with a cooldown or some other kind of penalty or limitation and then look at the hillbilly as he is now and ask yourself what is wrong with that picture? Can you honestly say that hillbilly is fine as he is compared to every other killer?
I for one I'm sick of starting games with hillbilly, hearing him run around with his chainsaw throughout the entire game with no penalty at all. I welcome these changes because it finally brings a hillbilly down to the level of all the other killers and as a hillbilly player you should be welcoming more complexity to what is probably the easiest killer in the game.

Depends on the law where you live.
TOS/EULA is not higher than the law, some people have no clue.
0 -
yep. a few countries protect their citizens on consumer rights way more than others.
1 -
Sounds like taking advantage. Games are always evolving, but if one changes to how you dont like it you get a refund? It doesn't make sense.
1 -
depends on how you look at it. I look at it as if im not satisfied with a product or the product changes past what I deem is acceptable for the money that I spent than I am entitled to get my money back. My country will back me up to as they will sue the company for breaking their laws that they agreed to when they decided to sell their product in my country

I guess I wouldn't do business with your country. They sound like horrible bullys...

The nerfs weren't that bad. If they turned him into old Freddy I could see being upset, but with these changes if you are a good billy I doubt you will see any changes in your gameplay. But I would voice to the devs you don't like the changes.

Or he may be lucky and live in a country where he can get his money back...in other words have stollen the usage of the game up until now. 🌈🦄 Why bother with devs? Lol

Probably they repeated the "most balanced killer ever" mantra to themselves so many times they ended up believing it.
0 -
sadly u cant get it back because in the contract term it says taht they can modificate their own game, is a contract you agreed with when you accepted the terms sadlly is kind of scummy but is how it is.

Congress should act and pass a law prohibiting bait and switch. The laws are obsolete to deal with this new type of fraud that companies like BHVR commits to.

This is a live game, when you accepted the EULA at the start of the game, you ACCEPTED that your skins are not yours and you're just "renting" them until the game eventually goes under years down the line. You ALSO accepted that this game is always changing and that there is no guarantee that something will stay the same for more than a day. You got yourself into this because you didn't read the terms of service and you want us to sympathize with you? Jesus H. Christ...
3 -
So you want games to be released as they are without any consumer feedback because if they change even the slightest thing, someone can claim bait and switch and royally ######### over a game studio? Are you serious?
2 -
If I bought a car with a turbo charged engine, but automaker issues a recall and swaps it out for a small engine because they thought it was safer for the road causing me to be dissatisfied with the performance then I have a case. Companies like BHVR shouldn't be exempt.
Laws seriously need updating.
3 -
You accepted an EULA.
2 -
the sheer entitlement in this post.
lmao.

tbh i feel hillbillys not unbalanced, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be balanced though
also something a lot of people don't seem to realise is that theres also been side grades to his kit namely :
If you don't overheat during a sprint you don't get the chainsaw cooldown (think using double bumper billy/double cooldown billy on steroids)
overheat only stops your chainsaw if you peak it - you can still feather and play billy as normal, you just can't default to "playing poorly" ie insta saw and constant feathering around pallets in order to force pallet breaks
his addons have been adjusted and buffed, along with the addition of ultra rare addons etc. his curvivng addons are now brown tier, likely paving the way for a lot of his addons to be a lot more impactful.
---
He needed a lot of touching up, and im all for these changes. he's like ghostface is currently, only ghostface is punished too highly, whereas billy not enough. they both need addon and basekit adjustment with gf in the opposite direction (less restrictions/more impactful/creative addons)

Except there's one fatal flaw in your analogy there, bud. These are digital goods in an online multiplayer game, not a private good. That car with that engine of yours? Yeah, it's not only yours. You are not the only person who owns it in regards to a game like DBD. So get it through your head that you don't singularly have a say in the matter. That's why BHVR is exempt. Entirely different ballparks.

I need a refund on the time I spent on hillybilly. If you are unable to refund the time back to me, I will except unlimited amounts of tacos and tequila.
✌ Thanks in advance BHVR✌

Sure, go to ATM #4 (Next to the entrance to Wakanda and 2 streets above Narnia). 🙌

Hillbillies rev'ing the chainsaw non-stop while side-stepping around a short loop from side-to-side until the survivor slips up is what brought that nerf. That is the only thing that will change with the update.

You seem like a fun person to be around.
0 -
When you started the game for the first time, you agreed to the EULA. Part of that in nearly EVERY competitive game is that you are agreeing that the devs can change characters, weapons, powers, anything they like for what they see as balance.
When they then change something, in line with that agreement, you don't get to revoke your accepting that and demand your money back.
You can't have a refund, you already agreed that this was ok.

In general, digital goods are normally improved making the law be unnecessary but in the case of DBD it is hardly the case. Like in this example, real money, even if it was small was spent on Hillbilly. Now they are purposely going to make him completely unfun to use meaning the money spent is now no longer worthwhile. Only in software is this allowed but I think it no longer needs to be because it can be greatly abused. Every single killer is nerfed after release, the Halloween chapter (Laurie and Myers both nerfed), and Ash vs. Evil Dead is the best examples.
So this is a special case where BHVR is taking great advantage of the freedom without a law to fake, manipulate, bait and switch their victims.
1 -
Yep I have to agree here. That's one big reason why I don't buy anything with real money anymore.
1 -
You have to agree when starting the game to characters and the game being changed.
You wont get a refund homie, stop wasting your time.
