Do survivors teleport because my connection is bad?

Had a match where the Bill would occasionally teleport. For example I would see him run into a wall for a few seconds and then appear somewhere else. I didn't see it occur to any of the other survivors, but this has happened before a few times where more than one survivor is teleporting.

    my guess is the ping has made the survivors rubber band (i don't think it would be lag switching)

    You are no longer the host so your ping doesn't affect survivors at all.

    This is lag switch cheat that you are describing. They cut the connection to the server and the server makes them run straight without turning when it happens, once it's done they reappear where they really are on their end and the server syncs up to that location instead.
