BHVR are you not ashamed releasing this PTB?
I had miniscule hope that the PTB Delay would change something with Billy. That BHVR would relize the bad decision and that they considered reverting the nerfs....
But NOPE. You changed nothing and it's even worse than I imagined.
His addons are even weaker WHILE you nerfed his basepower? You haven't buffed any of his addons. Engravings still increases charge time while you removed all addons which decreases charge time. I'm in a nightmare or is this just a delayed April fools joke?
This is by far the WORST patch in the history of DbD. The only patch coming into mind worse than this is when you could flashlight and pallet safe survivor at any time during the pick-up animation.
Devs, you gave Billy a bad one. And the fact you are not embarrassed and publish this PTB with pride is insane.
IMAGINE Matthew cote said "play nurse or Billy if you want to compete" and you gutted both now.
IMAGINE you said "we are happy with how Billy is performing" and you go out of your way to change him for no reason.
IMAGINE you called the Billy nerf "minimal" and it turns out be so massive that I don't want to touch him anymore.
I'm speechless. How could you do him so dirty..

They both also had no new chase music and the lobbies are really ######### with over 300 ping, so yeah I'm very disappointed with this mid-chapter. This is probably the most disappointed I have been with Behaviour in my entire time playing dbd.

Don't worry, I'm sure Spirit, Freddie and Oni are next..to get them more "in line" with their philosophy of keeping rank 15-20 survivors happy. Damn the killer mains or people who enjoy playing killer.
Seeing how they approach balancing in this game, I honestly regret putting any money into it.

If this is how they treat killers that they thought were mostly balanced before "tweaking" them, I am genuinely scared for what they'll do with killers that they think are overperforming. This is...honestly, and I say this with gritted teeth because I'm not as affected personally by this patch...this is worse than Nurse. It really is. I'm appalled.

I'm disgusted by this as well... His new add-ons are SOOO BAD that only 2 of them are worthy of something, the rest of them are completely useless...Even Nurse has more viable add-ons that can actually help her, rather than the new Billy's ones.
And his new power: easily one of the worst in the game at the moment, you have no more reason to play this killer when you have more viable options that are more fun and can win you a match more easily...
If 95% of the population on forums and the streamers say the new changes are bad and you will release Billy in this state, then no offense, you deserve a huge amount of backlash for that, devs!
Make up your minds and think wisely if you wanna release this mess of a killer on live or just let him be the way he is now and just change his add-ons or add a few new ones to the current rostrum he has...

Asking if these devs feel shame is laughable. look at: matchmaking, sounds, dedicated servers, grabs, vault hits, Everything regarding nurse, launching an event with broken offerings, certain animations, hacks, ping, the entire killer Comunity being told they are wrong and clown is good........ the list goes on and on. Now we will add billy to the list of shamelessness.

okay but no, i disagree on this being the worst patch. the legion patch literally broke the entire game, the archive patch had to be delayed because it also literally broken the game, and then 1.9.2 like you mentioned.

I haven't tried PTB yet but just from seeing addon descriptions it seems like some of the addons are just versions of the teachable perks or you need to use in addition to the teachables instead of being something to enhance the power. Maybe it's way of giving killers 5th perk if they don't equip teachable or break up meta build depending on which addon they go for. Be like putting add on in medkit that's version of empathy instead of addons to help with healing.

By the time you chainsaw twice or thrice at max his thing already overheats because of how slow the normal cooling rate is.

Didn't they change things between the PTB and live build several times now? Hell, we even got patches to the PTB.

Despite having PTB players that will give them feedback, not to mention Fog Whisperers, doubt BHVR actually cares about what they have to say.

These were always veeery minimal and 99% they never took feedback into consideration. Its just fixing bugs at best and maybe add a 1% buff on something.

It's clear to me that they NEVER played him in-house with these changes; it's insane to me to think that their QA dept played this and said: "yeah, makes sense and it's a sensible nerf. We agree to put these changes out to the PTB"

OMG the crying... the absolute utter crying over the billy changes...
Geesh, this was long over due. Billy was probably one of the most played killers for obvious reasons---this was needed to bring him more in-line with streamlining all killers so that one isn't "over powered" compared to the others. If the game was "only Billy" or "only Nurse" etc., then so be it.. but this game has a variety of killers. Releasing a new killer with powers/add-ons and abilities that is just a cookie-cutter version of what is considered the "best" killer is a waste of time, energy and resources.
Now with this change, you "billy mains" have something else to think about while using the chainsaw instead of just how fast you can mow down a survivor with literally no negative downsides. I embrace and rejoice with these minor tweaks... Billy is still a very strong killer, just with a negative side-effect to his chainsaw, which is over due.

im watching otz stream as we speak and even he says these changes on billy are horrible and he says with this change he would rank him "B" tier.

Can I remind you that "THE DATA" was a reason that bhvr said "we are happy how Billy performs" and they still went out of their way to change him? You really think they evaluate feedback with data? They just do what they want. They don't care.

People played Billy because of map pressure to counter the incessant gen rush. At least i do, well, did. And if we're talking 'overused' then we have to nerf- Self care, dead hard, adrenaline, decisive strike, swf, spirit, freddy, unbreakable, noed, the list goes on

This is so bad I've lost all respect for the game and BHVR.
I watched Otzdarva and Billy is literally overheated ALL THE DAMN time. The definition of NO FUN. He couldn't feather around loops just as I predicted. He will definitely not be rank 1 viable. I wouldn't touch him with a 20 foot pole.
I have no desire to play killer ever again.

Survivors are majority of the playerbase. So obviously they will always be slightly biased towards them. Couple years ago they said that they would be too scared to nerf billy and they have been gaining courage by nerfing less used killers like; nurse, spirit, freddy etc. If you cannot accept this fact that you need to switch playing survivor (like i did) or just quit playing. Nothing will change

I know survivors wasn't happy with spirit nerf; she wasn't gutted like billy and nurse. Secondly Freddy was nerfed AFTER his rework. I played this game nearly 4 years so i remember most nerfs and buffs

True, they missed the point on spirit nerf and went overkill on Freddy. But many people pointed it out on both sides. But you don't see this pattern most of the time, you have to admit it's mostly the exact opposite (like Nurse and Billy to name the recent bad ones)

He also just played Haddonfield. The flashing lights in the houses are going to cause seizures. They're flashing like strobe lights. This thing is a giant mess.

id rather spirit get a full rework to make her fun to face when she uses stridor.
the freddy "nerf" youre on about, where he loses bloodlust using his power (which shouldve happened in the first place with his power because thats what happens when people use their power). also forever freddy was nerfed, and i mean if you need forever freddy to do well youre not that good of a killer.
i agree most of the time they go over the top, and considering how they said billy was balanced. the only thing i can hope- only thing is that theyre nerfing strong killers now and then superbuff killers across the board (cause, say if maps get smaller again, then killers like nurse and billy would be busted. freddy is technically okay because hed still make it to the gen at the same time since he just teleports to it).

I think they gladly would tank their long term future for short term survivor money. Hell, they might not even realize they are doing it.

They probably won't revert Billy, but I'd be surprised if they didn't slowdown the speed at which the chainsaw overheats, and maybe reduce the time it takes for the chainsaw to cooldown. I mean it is called a Public TEST Build for a reason. They want feedback. You probably won't be happy with what they do, because it won't be reverting him back to where he was, but I think it'll probably be better than what it is now.

Whens the last time the devs actually changed anything about a killer power from the PTB recently? They released Deathslinger, a bottom four killer, and the Pyramid Head, a bottom five character as is with NO changes. Smh, Im losing faith by the minute.

Never said anything if Freddy nerf was deserved or not. The point was HE WAS nerfed like i originally said. Where you said he was only "reworked" to be stronger. Also Freddy was nerfed 2 weeks later after he was brought to dbd because rank 20 survivors cried and review bombed the game. So Freddy boi has been nerfed 2 times actually
