Give me Nosferatu
I don't know where exactly am I writing this now, it's my first time on the forum. I made an account for a specific reason though, as my name might suggest.
There are lots of new killer ideas comming all the time but I've never seen any love given for my boy Nosfertu- the horror OG. The icon who gave us the spooky genre we all admire for it's atmosphere.
That being said, I think he'd be a great addition to the game. He fits DBD aesthetically, works well with its vibe. There's a lot of room to work with his power and perks, since he'd be the first vampire taken in by The Entity. Additionally, I think there might not be any copyright issues or restrictions whatsoever because the movie came out almost a freaking hundred years ago.
I know there are many characters that players would like to see added in the game but I'm really surprised that seemingly nobody has considered a creature so important to the genre. I'd love to give it some attention and see what the community thinks of this so please let Nosferatu enter your mind. Let him get your attention. Let him persuade the all powerful Devs to bringing him into existence.
Please give me Nosferatu.

In terms of Copyright law, at least where I'm from, Copyright expires after 100 years from the original authors' death, at which point their creative works become public domain. Either you may be waiting a while for it or they'd have to strike a deal with the estate owning the rights (since something tells me the original creator isn't still alive :p )

Yeah, there's that x years from death rule in most countries but Nosferatu was released in the US before copyright laws which makes it a public domain or something like that. Also I think its creator was German and it's already been enough years since his death (damn that sounds wrong) so I'm hopeful

I’d love a vampire killer. I feel like maybe it would be a bit too close to Oni’s power thematically? I’m sure they could find a way to differentiate it and make it work though.

I've actually seen more love and attention given to the idea of bringing Nosferatu into the game now more than ever before. Not saying that he's mentioned as frequently as Candyman, Pennywise, or Pinhead, not by a long shot, but I do want to say he's one of those underdogs peoplea are beginning to mention more often. Does that mean he will get in? Not sure, honestly I have no idea where they would even begin to start looking with obtaining this license, the original film was created in 1922 it's almost a hundred years old. Who has the rights to such a property? I have no f*cking clue whatsoever

I feel like there lots of possibilities. Maybe he could suck the blood of downed/hooked survivors or even turn into a bat somehow. Turning dead survivors into vampires could be an option too, although itd be hard to figure out

Well I'm glad to hear that and surely Nosferatu is too. I'm hoping that the movie doesn't have rights anymore and it's available for free use, that'd make getting Nosferatu really easy I guess. If someone still has the rights though than maybe the devs will try to bring him for his 100th anniversary. It would take a long wait but it could be a cool event
