How good are you with each killer?
Whilst most of us share a common opinion on which killers are strong and which are weak. However, we each have our own killer that we main, and who we feel more comfortable playing as. The purpose of this post is to rate yourself out of five for each killer.
Key:
1/5: You have a basic understanding of the killer's power, however you're unable to put that knowledge into practice.
2/5: You can play at a basic level with this killer, you can win against bad/potato/chill survivors with this killer. However, you struggle against competent survivors.
3/5: You're at an intermediate level with this killer. Whilst this killer isn't one of your strongest killers, you are solid with this killer. You can even win against a red rank SWF with this killer.
4/5: You're very good with this killer, and you've nearly mastered this killer. However, there is still room for improvement.
5/5: You've completely mastered this killer. This killer is most likely you're main.
Below is how I rate myself with each killer. I personally wouldn't say I've mastered any killer, as I feel I could still improve with each killer.
Trapper: 3/5
Wraith: 1/5 (I've been playing DBD for two years, and have about 2k hours and I'm still yet to play as Wraith outside of my daily rituals)
Hillbilly: 4/5 (I use to main Hillbilly, but due to his bugs I rarely play as him now)
Nurse: 1/5
Hag: 2/5 (Hag use to be one of the killers I use to main, but I haven't played as her since 2018)
Doctor: 4.5/5 (Doctor replaced Hillbilly after as my main after his rework. He's my strongest killer but I don't rate myself as a 5/5 as I feel I still think I could improve further with him.)
Myers: 3/5
Huntress: 1.5/5
Leatherface: 4/5 (Bubba use to be one of my mains, but I don't play as him as much now due to his annoying sound bugs)
Freddy: 4/5
Pig: 3.5/5
Clown: 2/5
Spirit: 2.5/5 (I use to be somewhat decent with Spirit but I took a 3 month break, I haven't been able to get back into playing as Spirit)

Deathslinger: 2.5/5 (I haven't played against a strong team as Deathslinger, so it's hard to tell)

Hard to say. I'm a trapper main, but I know I still have a LOT to learn. I'd say a 4/5 MAYBE 4.5 after a warm up game.
Wraith: 3/5. I haven't played him in a while so I need to relearn a lot
Billy: 3/5. Good with the saw... most times. Other times I still completely whiff.
Nurse: 2/5. Same as Billy. Sometimes I even surprise myself with how accurate my blinks are, other times I miss a survivor literally right in front of me.
Hag: 1/5. I literally have no clue how people like Otz do it.
Doc: 3/5. I don't use my shock as much as I should, but rather fake it. Often times when I do use the shock I feel like I use it just a little too late.
Myers: 4/5. Fun, challenging, and overall makes for great games!
Huntress: 1/5. I suck lol.
Leatherface: 2/5. Hard to use the chainsaw right now imo, but then again for some reason I can NEVER mind game right with bubs.
Freddy: 4/5. EZ PZ.
Pig: 0/5. Never played rip.
Clown: 4/5. I've been playing him a BUNCH lately to prestige and have been having so much fun. I've even been beating cocky SWF teams pretty consistently.
Spirit: 2.5/5. With perks and add-ons, I do fine (who doesn't?). Been trying without perks or add-ons and I'm averaging between 2-3k.
Legion: 4/5. My second main behind Trapper. Sometimes I misuse Frenzy still, but overall I usually 4k.
Plague: 1/5. Still learning.
GF: 2.5/5. Still learning when to stalk and when to just get a free hit.
Demo: never played rip.
Deathslinger: 3/5. Just got him but MAN does he dominate. I don't even know how else to put it.

I have not even played some killers, hence i got em and some like leatherface or demogorgon only twice. I play only Freddy, GF and sometimes Legion.

I personally don't get the appeal of playing in DBD tournaments as the killer.
I've been invited to play as killer at tournaments, as I often win or draw against competitive SWF teams in public games. However, I rather not voluntarily go against SWF's without an incentive reward. At least in public matches I'm rewarded with blood points when I play against Survive with Friends.

Trapper: 2/5 (dont like setup killers and so i never really play him)
Wraith: 3/5 (I like wraith and have my special build on him, but outside of this build i never played him)
Hillbilly: 2/5 (dont know how to curve propperly but its hard on console with all the lags etc)
Nurse: 2/5 (Its just too frustrating on console)
Hag: 2/5 (setup killer)
Doctor: 3/5 (boring gameplay and getting ######### by the servers make him a meh character for me so im not interested in playing him)
Myers: 4/5 (arguably one of the weakest killers, but i played him alot and have some tricks on him)
Huntress: 2/5 (console hatchets will fly through survivors now and then so no thanks in learning her)
Leatherface: 3/5 (I played him a bit, theres not much you have to learn on him, guess well see after the rework if hes cool to learn)
Freddy: 4/5 (Im pretty good at freddy, know when to do what but who doesnt know that?)
Pig: 5/5 (I pretty sure I know what i have to do in every situation with her. Shes way stronger then people give her credit for especially at loops)
Clown: 4/5 (I like clown, he can be fun but i dont have mastered him)
Spirit: 3/5 (tbh i dont use a headset, im sure i would be better with a headset^^)
Legion: 3/5 (know how to play them but i think i could learn something more aout them)
Plague: 1/5 (I hate her concept, survivors need to do something for you getting your power... just ugh dont wanna learn this killer and so im bad at her)
Ghostface: 5/5 (same as pig, prett sure i know whats up with GF)
Demogordon: 4/5 (I could be better with his portals, but for his jump im pretty happy with how good i am)
Deathslinger: 3/5 (console spears fly through survivors, but not as hard as huntress. Im okay with him)
Pyramid Head: 5/5 (I love PH, he has many interesting mechanics and i played him non stop since his release, im on a 40 games winstreak with him and ill keep going, but i also think i have mastered him by now)

Comparing to other people. That means, even if i might be a good Bubba does not mean its auto win because of that. I just think i am better then most who are around. Said that, i compare myself with other rank 1 killers of course.
Have not tried Pyramid Head yet, to busy with other stuff. I will tho very soon.
I tried Deathslinger, but i despise him with all my heart. I dont want to see other survivor suffer under his presence.

Not the best killer but not the worst either. I'd say somewhere just above average skill wise if I would make a estimate. Killers not listed are the ones I haven't tried out yet or just never play.

Careful with potentially loaded questions. People always overestimate ability especially if they lack good ability to self assess, which most folk do. Also the worse you are often the more you over estimate how good you are, which I think is what leads to a lot of the salt in pvp games.
That said I'd say terrible with nurse, billy and oni, mediocre to average across the rest of the board, but I have more fun and more consistently 3-4k and rank up with Hag, Trapper and Doc so I'm probably better at them. Also I really enjoy Leatherface so am absolutely buzzing about his rework.

Trapper 4 Love me some trapper bag. Love using his addons to make survivor's die if they free themselves and using barley visible traps. I feel very confident in him but can always improve.
Wraith 4 My first character ever played when I started. Still play him as well as the other characters. Bing bongo what else to say.
Hillbilly 2 My last hillbilly game was terrible. Before I was decent enough. Played him even on Larry's to test myself and turned out good. Now im not sure.
Nurse 0 Can't play due to controller on PC too difficult.
Huntress 0 Controller on PC.
Myers 4 As with trapper and wraith I feel very good when I play Myers. Love spooky Myers.
Hag 3 I can play hag pretty decent but I don't wanna give myself a 4 because I still can improve.
Doc 4 Shock Shock And More shock. It's shocking isn't it.
Bubba 4 I loved playing bubba in meat plant. Think that's his best map. Still think he wasn't as terrible as other M1 killers.
Nightmare 4 Who can't play freddy now? Haven't been play as much only because I liked old freddy. It was a cool aspect of pulling you into his dream world.
Pig 4 Feel confident in jumpscaring people and throwing those bear traps. Using Tempered timer and the one to add boxes and you'll be killing heads.
Clown 3 I feel clown is still the same. He forces pallet drops better. Could learn more but feel like all you do is throw bottles and zone them out.
Spirit 2 Was a great spirit before her nerf. IDK why I can't hear survivor's as good as I used to anymore. I put it to sound bugs as usual.
Legion 1 Don't play him at all much anymore. 360 on PC with controller I kinda fall for every now and then I hate losing my power if I miss a swing. SOOOOOOO Next!
Plague 4 Like playing plague vomit queen. Love getting my Red Juice too.
Ghostface 4 I just use the power to sneak around. Only stalk if it's beneficial. Otherwise it hurts you if they see you.
Demo 3 When I play it's a 50/50. Sometimes im great with shred other times eh.
Oni 1 Haven't played him at all. Maybe one day
Slinger 2 (Aim with ps4 controller)
Ph? Still new to him so can't rank myself yet.

For me most of mine are 4/5 5/5 some like a few defaults are 3/5 my nurse skill is probably a 1-2/5 I’m not great on her and to make it worse I play on console but I can get a good match every now and then

Trapper: 2/5. I know good trap placements, and I'm pretty good with the general killer tools. But it's putting that into practice that makes me suffer as him. Though I can put it into practice fairly well, just not the best.
Wraith: 3/5. In the past I would have said 5/5, but I stopped playing for a while and never picked him back up when I got back. I just don't remember a lot of stuff you can do with him, but I could get him back to at least 4/5 with a bit of practice.
Hillbilly: 1/5. I've played a handful of games with him. I can hardly land hits with his chainsaw.
Nurse: 1/5. Same as Hillbilly.
Myers: 2.5/5. Same as Wraith, where in the past it would have been a 4/5. It's definitely not a 3, but not as bad as a 2.
Hag: 3/5. There's still a lot I need to learn about setting up her traps beforehand, but she has a lower skill-floor then trapper, making me better at her in general. Still prefer Trapper, even if I'm better as Hag.
Doctor: 2/5. I can't time Shocks. I really suck at using him in loops, but I can do everything else fairly well.
Huntress: I don't know. I think I've played like 1 game with her and did alright.
Leatherface: 3/5. He's really, really simple, not hard to get good with, though I haven't played him in a while.
Freddy: 3/5. I still don't know how to use his snares that well.
Pig: 3/5. I'm not the best with her dash, which stops me from putting her higher, but I can do well with her.
Clown: I don't know. I hardly ever play him, and I haven't played him since his buff.
Spirit: 4/5. She's honestly not that hard to pick up. Obviously actually mastering her is insanely hard, but she isn't that bad to get good with.
Legion: 3/5. Same as Spirit, but with less room to grow with. Only difference is how much I've played them.
Plague: 4/5. I can do everything except use Corrupt Purge very well.
Ghostface: 1/5. I suck at stalking with him.
Demogorgon: 3.5/5. I've gotten quite good with Shred, and placing Portals isn't that tough. Though I still don't really know the limits of what I can Shred.
Oni: 5/5. Tied as my best Killer, and probably the Killer I've played the second most since I've gotten back into the game. I don't think I'm limited as much by how good I am with him, but rather a poor selection of perks that hopefully will be gone soon.
Deathslinger: 5/5. My best Killer, and my most played since coming back. Landing shots is very easy for me, allowing me to easily down survivors in loops.
Pyramid Head: 1/5. I have practically no play time on him, since he just came out and I didn't really like his power.
Wow, I have a LOT of 3/5 Killers.

I have been playing this game for a long time and play most of the killers to where I main about 4 or 5 of them. I rate most of my killers at 3 because i understand how to play all of them even nurse and can do good with them even if i have to push through with skill alone.
there are only two killers i dont have a good grasp on as you can see and that is ph because he is too new and im still getting used to but with death slinger since i play on console and the hit box is small for his spear i dont bother playing him most of the time.

Trapper: 3/5, Put traps in good places, win interesting prizes.
Wraith: 2/5, Peekaboo isn't really my kind of game.
Hillbilly: 1/5, His mechanic just never gelled with me.
Nurse: 3/5, Decent but queuing up to play her sets my teeth on edge with anxiety for some reason.
Huntress: 4/5, Finally mastered getting shots/snipes from 20+ meters away, still have trouble with cross map shots though.
Myers: 1/5, Aside from a Small TR, and Insta down potential, he's just a glorified M1 killer with all the problems they have as well. I own Him, but never took much time to play him.
Hag: 4/5, The Jumpscare queen takes time to get good with, but totally worth it.
Doctor: 5/5, Before his rework and after it, Doc's always been my ticket to pain town for survivors, and very few other killers can completely change their playstyles with a few build adjustments like he can. Crazy versatile, fun, and such a headache to survivors when played well... what's not to like?
Cannibal: 2/5, While his mechanic gelled better with me than Billy's, I still didn't put much effort into him.
Nightmare: 2/5, Great mechanics, and good feel, but a bit overwhelming at first, and not as fun as I thought it would be. Still feeling the burn from buying him when he first came out and had to take 2 years before he got a rework that makes him better. May return to putting some effort in later.
Pig: 4/5, She's Stealthy, and like old Ruin, stalls gen progress but with her base kit. She's just too fun, and allows you a chance to breathe instead of always being frustrated on the back foot. No other killer accomplishes this feeling as well as Piggy.
Clown: 2/5, Since his minor buff my opinion has improved a little, but he still lacks where it counts the most... Map Pressure!
Spirit: 2/5, People call her a "P2W killer", but honestly any killer that has to use their ears more than their eyes in order to secure downs, especially in this game where Audio issues pop up on every update, is a killer doomed to a life of frustration. When the Audio is fine, I do well, but the majority of the time its not fine, so I do poor. I applaud anyone who can play her well despite the fickle and inconsistent audio design of this game.
Legion: 4/5, sure they've been nerfed into the ground, but they still spread damage better than any killer in the game, and have good map pressure.
Plague: 5/5, Love Her! No other killer can use a build that puts survivors between a rock and a hard place as consistently: cleanse, she nails you with the best ranged attack in the game. Don't cleanse, you spend the whole game 1 shot down-able, and she can both see and hear you better. She's quickly become my "go-to girl" for red ranks, and because hardly anyone plays her, I'm always underestimated.
Ghost Face: 2/5 Similar mechanics to Mikey, but smaller in size. Still a glorified M1 killer, but I feel he's got more options than the walking refrigerator that is The Shape. Plus, being able to t-bag survivors back for once is a nice bonus.
Demogorgon: 2/5, fun to play, feels powerful and scary, but gives away his position and when he's using his power too much to the point that he's very easy for survivors to evade. Sigh, I wan't to love him, but just can't.
Oni: 1/5, If Hillbilly's mechanics didn't gel with me, what makes you think this guy would?
DeathSlinger: 1/5, 5...separate... slowdowns! He's Already slower than average, has a limited range attack, and 5... SEPARATE... SLOWDOWNS JUST FOR USING HIS POWER! The most any other killer has is 3! For this reason, I feel he's no where near as effective as a basic M1 killer, gives survivors way too much time to accomplish their objectives, and there's ######### all he can do about it. He's literally the only purchase I made that I regret.
Executioner: 3/5, Frustrating to learn, nice ranged attack when you manage to land it, but severely punishing if you don't. Feeling decent with him never the less, and looking forward to getting better.
Survivors: 3/5, the game is so much less frustrating when you are on a team instead of alone trying to stop said team. I primarily only play survivor to relax, because that's what the survivor experience is like compared to the killers... its a breeze. I'm not the best survivor, but i'm not the worst either. I play killer for a challenge, I play survivor to take a break. Also... Feng Min makes cute noises 😋

Trapper 3/5 Easy to play. Trapper's basement is the build I usually run with him and I at least get a 2K with it.
Wraith 4/5 My favorite stealth killer to play. He can do some major damage with the right build. A really underrated killer.
Hillbilly 5/5 I either get 3K's or 4K's with this guy. Occasionally I get at least a kill against a really good team.
Nurse 3/5 Still learning how to get better at her I usually get two kills with her. She does take a LOT of practice though.
Huntress 2/5 Shes the hardest M2 killer for me to play. Requires a lot of time and patience and in my opinion, requires more than nurse does.
Myers 4/5 Doesn't really have a high skill cap. All you need to get kills with him is to be a good killer in general and have either Monitor or Infectious. Decent killer overall though.
Hag 5/5 I've played her for two years and I always get at least a 3K. Not very hard to master.
Doctor 4/5 Pretty easy to master surprisingly, especially since how easy it is to get kills with him.
Cannibal 1/5 Low skill cap and hard to get kills with if you're not facecamping. Right now hes a joke, to play as.
Nightmare 5/5 Low Skill cap yet easy to kill with. Anyone with a few braincells can win with him.
Pig 1/5 Boring to play in my opinion and I've never took the time into learning her.
Clown 2/5 Great on maps like Hawkins and Saloon but overall fairly weak and bad with him.
Spirit 4/5 All I needed was a good headset and stridor and everyone was getting hit left and right
Legion 1/5 Worst killer to ever be released didn't buy the killer because of how terrible he was.
Plague 1/5 Boring to play and survivors can easily win by cleansing over and over again.
Ghostface 2/5 Buggiest killer in the game, playing as him is fun but a chore at the same time.
Demogorgon 2/5 Fun to play but hard to get good at. Just like ghostface, hes fun to play but a chore at the same time.
Oni 4/5 Easy killer to play and 4K with. Not really hard to get good at.
Deathslinger 3/5 Can get hits easily and end chases quickly.
Executioner 1/5 I don't play him enough to get good at him or voice my opinion on him.
