Ormond

I was Deathslinger and I got an early hook but still, it didn't really matter since there was a Kate that was predropping every pallet in the map and they were all safe tiles so I had to let her go but 3 gens were already done. So I continued going after gens and after a while I realised that I went to the wrong gen and the game was over. I hooked the Jake (the first hook) and camped him and it worked, another person came for the rescue, I downed him and the other injured guy came and I downed him too. I got a 3k and a nice "entity displeased".

How are you supposed to counter these types of setups ? There were like 5 safe loops connected to each other.

Break the 5 pallets. If she was pre throwing them it should take about 30 seconds including walking between pallets, then go chase someone else

You shouldn't chase someone who pre throws pallets for an extended time. That goes with all maps.

Ormond is a really bad map for killers in general.

especially as a Deathslinger, whose main weakness is map coverage, Ormond is basically a gg as soon as you get it.

you entirely rely on a huge screw up on the Survivors side to win - if they dont offer you that, you lost.

Ormond, on top of being as large as it is, offers a lot of pretty solide looping tiles, therefore Survivors have a lot of options to waste your time, compared to the very few options you have to properly slow them down.

All you can really do is to run around and look for anyone who might be outpositioned, offering you the screw up you needed.

once you commit to a chase around said good looping areas, you lost the game.

You just have to know when to apply pressure and when to fold. A survivor that predrops pallets is one that panics easily. Depending on your environment, you might want to let them escape and move on. You don't want to waste too much time on one survivor. Depending on your area, you can take them down by baiting them to Vault over a downed pallet. You can't do this in every situation though as they will just vault over and over before you can reach them. I remember when there was one guy left in Meat Factory and I was Legion. I kept applying pressure to him as the end clock was ticking. I baited him to Vault and downed him. I carried him and then dropped him so Entity could have him. So it is all situational. As for Ormond Resort, that's one of my least favorite maps as killer and survivor. I don't like the layout.

Ormond needs a rework. It's FULL of jungle-gyms and safepallets all connected to each other along with being huge and scratchmarks and genauras being ridiculously hard to read. Forget that map, there's no unsafe spots for survivors there.

Yeah Ormond is not a fun map for any killer especially as for some reason that map somehow make survivors silent asf plus the connecting gyms to pallets to another gym and dont get me started on the main building even with it rework its a killer nightmare map. it needs to be looked at maybe with a legion rework aswell ;P

Ormond is still the worst map in the game. None other competes. It’s just another reason why the Legion DLC was so bad.
