Is Doc too strong?

He can find your location with an ability that recharges at a fast rate that's hard to avoid unless you are in a locker or running calm spirit (which is useless against anyone but him), static blast is 3 dimensional and will hit you on any floor if you are within radius regardless of what floor he is on. On top of all that you can't heal while in tier 3 madness. Dude is boosted haha

I dont think he is too strong, but a few things can be changed:

Removal of Detonation Delay Add-Ons, those are really not needed and a little bit busted. He was strong before they changed the Discipline Add-Ons to Shock Detonation Delay-Reduction.

Something with his Terror Radius, sometimes you dont hear it, but get hit by the Blast. You are in the TR, but because the music is unique, you might not hear it.

And well, Survivors in Madness 3 should be able to pick up downed Survivors.

3 Things that can be changed without making Doc a bad Killer.

Ok so..to correct this , first of his tr is the range..by being in it you take the risk of static blast..also..static blast has the longest killer cd in dbd , very important to note tjat..and finslly..t3 madness is very easily snapped out of and drops you all the way to madness 1..meaning itll take 2 cd cycles of static blast by itself to get you there again..its a powerful tool but if he wastes it hes vulnerable to lack of map presence

Detonation delay addons actually are a detriment ..makes hom have a longer delay and less window to swing after a shock, also picking up slug should be blocked because its healing..not fair to make a pointless exception..not really fair either

I would say he's annoying but not over powered. You need to take into consideration what it feels like from the killers side. I have a decent amount of experience as doc and he needed something other than his punishment and treatment therapy. He's an ok killer with one half of him tracking from static blast and the other being able to stop survivors from palleting/vaulting.

You get hit by it even when you aren't in his TR and his add ons can make his TR way bigger making it almost impossible to avoid on the small maps. His TR is deceving because of the special music. He definitely needs a few slight changes but not a nerf. Just a little balancing is all.

Hes fine as is..his tr is the limit..says so in the power itself..and yeah he has an addon for bigger tr..but what's the point if it's not allowed to make a difference..plus on small maps he will see multiple people so..eh?

I never understood the "annoyong" label..only killer deserving of that ino is legion..simply because hes so nad he needs to stack anti gen to accomplish anything

I’d say he’s too strong for how easy he is to use. He stomps beginners and generally stomps even average teams. A team of really good survivors will give him a run for his money but in general you pick Doc and you’re gonna win most of the teams you come across without too much trouble.

Doc needs to be put on the list to get nursed.

Nah it's not THAT bad. He just needs a few tweaks to static shock. Make it 2 dimensional so it can't go up or down a floor on indoor maps and make static shock recharge by getting hooks and hits instead.

You only get hit by it if you're in the TR. They're correct. On top of that, you can completely avoid it if you just enter a locker. If you're that scared of his blast, then you either need to camp close enough to a locker that you can get to it within the 3 seconds or so Doc has to charge his power, or stay close enough to the edge of his terror radius to where you can run out of it while he's charging. You do either of those things, or you eat the blast and get on with it. The thing is with Doc, he just reveals you when that happens. If he comes after you, he's still an M1 killer with no mobility. Yeah he might be able to shock you when you're trying to loop him, but there's certain loops (usually the strong main tiles of the maps, like the asylum I think) where he can't really do much with his shock to stop you from looping him anyway. He's not like Nurse or Spirit where they're like right up on your rear even if you have a ton of distance on them.

I just don't think he's "too strong." I think he's at a sort of level where he's not OP but he's strong enough to be respected where people can't just bully a decent Doctor.

Yes, every killer is too strong. Get rid of them all so survivors can M1 all day.

Hes ok right now. Just annoying, in my opinion he shouldn't be able to spam shock.

If you don't have anything productive to say then just chill out my guy. Trying to base it off facts rather than personal feelings. I played and play against him a lot and I think he's just a tad too strong right now

They should change the game so we all load in around a campfire and just make smores for 5 minutes.

Music will be provided by trapper.

    "Is Doc too strong?"

    No.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

    1. The static blast is tied to the Terror radius so unless its code is completely rewritten it will always go off in a sphere like shape.
    2. The 2nd one would be a massive buff that would end up breaking the doctor as any good doctor would only need 1 static blast to get hooks and they usually hook before its off cooldown so this would make the doctor MUCH STRONGER.
    3. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it needs to be nerfed.

Remember when they said they were changing Doc to make him less annoying? If anything he's more annoying after the buffs.

That being said, I will take Doctor over Freddy or Spirit, so he's okay in my book.

The doc is probaly one of the more balanced killers out there. He has a power level every killer should have.

I think the only reason people call him tol strong is because how annoying he is.

The laugh of the doctor is legendary but the screen in madness is so annoying.

When Doc was reworked I thought the devs were going to make him less annoying to go against....

But playing as him is so much better. Very user friendly as well as you don’t have to keep switching between treatment mode & the stick.

Not so sure about Static blast. You don’t get enough warning to properly react to the sound que & without Quick & Quiet jumping into a locker reveals your position anyway.

Never said he was OP, I asked if other people think he is too strong. See the difference? I'm getting other people's opinions and information on why they do or don't think he is. You are just here trolling instead of being productive my guy.

His power level is fine. He unfortunately tends to attract scummy players.

Honestly the only problem I have is I get hit by static shock while I can't even hear the TR and I can't pick up downed teammates while in T3 of maddness.

It's funny how hostile everyone in this community is when a simple question is asked. I do appreciate the previous input but the last one was kinda unnecessary. I asked "is he too strong" as I run into him a lot and almost every team I'm queued in can never handle him even at reds.

It is not that Doc is op it is that it feels bad to lose to him because he requires very little thought/skill to play.

too = to a higher degree than is desirable = over

    strong = powered

I'm not playing dumb, the words are literally the same.

Fair enough but given how often people ask for doc nerfs while ignoring his counter mechanics often irritates me so sorry I went too far.

Also as for doctor always finding you is kinda his gimmick which is further pushed by his restraint addons which counter calm spirit(By revealing your aura when his static blast hits you) and lockers with he can see his illusions aura's pointing to you if your in a locker(If your in madness 2/3).

Outside of his detection he is almost entirely an M1 killer with no mobility and if you prethrow pallets only a little anti loop making him an average killer.

If you think 60 seconds is an ability that recharges at a "fast rate"...

Appreciate the maturity you have vs most people on this site!

I don't feel entitled to win every game nor do I want to because that means the balance is way off. I just feel like asking others opinions on stuff I or the teams I'm with have a consistent problems with. Hopefully server updates will fix a lot of bugs that happen vs doctor but we will see.
