Getting Really Old

Mashing the space bar or the A button during the struggle phase only to randomly die is getting extremely frustrating. I took the recent survey in the news section at the main menu and it even mentions if I’d rather do a skill check than mash a button over and over and I feel like the answer to that is OBVIOUS - YES! I already die enough times from all of the other Issues with the survivor side of things like terrible hit boxes at vault windows that I would have thought changing button mashing to skill checks would have been worked out by now.

They should give us an option in settings where we can choose between a space bar mashing struggle mechanic or skill check mechanic.

Hopefully the survey is a huge hint they'll change it to skill checks like the cages. Though I do hope if they do change it, they add an option to give up because it's bad enough being stuck in the cage even missing skill checks when it's clear nobody is coming for you.

you can set it to scroll wheel to make it a bit easier, but it would be nice if they actually changed it

I agree. Getting caught is inevitable in this game. You’re not really that sneaky. And there are plenty of occurrences where you’re either left to die on the hook or poorly hook rescued. And these are red rank teammates? How? Is that how you got to rank 1 leaving teammates on hooks? Interesting. But even then it’s like I don’t want to break my damn space bar or A button struggling when it doesnt feel worth it where you go down so easily because killers have practically no recovery time between hits and apparently have extended range on their hits now. It happens once a game at least but at killer shack killers are starting to lunge at the windows and I get hit as I’m running by the window a couple feet away from it. ARE you kidding me? Yeah whatever. But that’s just it though if nobody is coming for you I usually wait and give them until the struggle phase to where I’m like okay I guess this is time to move on to another game lol

No it needs to be changed entirely. Don’t need a survey for it.

I get tired of going down when I had no chance in the first place and that being my last opportunity to play that match. I get it go play swf then. But that’s not always a viable option for people. So at least don’t make it more frustrating on me to go through a struggle phase that doesn’t even require you to pay attention to the game Like skill checks do. There was a time Where I actually left and went to the kitchen for food with the controller in my hand mashing the A button still. Came back and I was rescued and healed. So there are other reasons. Keep your player base engaged and immersed into each match. Repetitive button mashing is terrible.
