We asked for key and mori changes. We got Billy changed (nearly noone asked for it)
Just wanted to point out the fact that we have faaaar far more posts and complains about moris and keys per day than Billy complaints in a month. And this was nearly always the case. But what do the devs? Not changing keys. Not changing moris. Nah, changing Billy. A killer majority saw as really balanced and blueprint.
THIS is what people mean when they say devs are not listening. Just one example of many btw.

To be fair, people have been complaining about Leatherface for just as long a time, and the only reason they touched hillbilly was because they were reworking leatherface at the time, as chainsaw bros they are kindred spirits.
Everybody is complaining about the changes made to his base kit (that we have yet to test out), but nobody is applauding the fact his add-ons are finally getting the overhaul they needed and he is finally getting his own ultra-rare add-ons.

Idc about ultra rare or not. Just take the avaliable addons and put on some red colours if it makes you happy.

You keep saying to wait for the changes, and when it comes to Leatherface I'll give that to you. But I cannot possibly see Hillbilly being the same or better than he was before. He can only be worse, because he has an added cooldown which nobody asked for. It was a meme up until this point that Hillbilly would need to gas up his chainsaw, or that it would overheat from being used too much. No longer a fantasy. Even if I agreed with the changes, keys and moris NEEDED to have been prioritized first. But the devs are in la la land.

That's garbage and you know it. Hillbilly like every other killer deserves to have good add-ons too, not the same Carburetor tuning guide and light chasis every match day in and day out.
Yeah, because he doesn't possibly need to be any better. He's already at or near the top, a slight tune down that barely has any real significance on whether a hillbilly can play well is hardly going to be noticeable.

People will always have a cry whenever you call Hillbilly a garbage killer, or reasonably point out how flawed his design is.
This is the Ruin rework all over again, in that killers are just refusing to adapt and would rather complain endlessly.
The topic of Hillbilly and Leatherface have also been around for longer than Keys and Mori's as far as I recall, but keys do actually require survivors to do their objective to a degree, and same with Mori's but both also hamper the ability to rank up unless you get the mythical 4-man hatch.
I've also given my solution to the Mori issue, and that's to make them cancel ranks for that game. I don't know how to solve keys though.

Yeah, I mean, I also mostly was like "Just a few Add Ons need changing", mainly Tuning Guide and Cooldown Add-Ons IMO. But I can get why BHVR are doing what they are doing. And so far I would say it will not make Billy terrible.
But that is just my current opinion, when he is on live, I might end up saying "What the ######### did they do to him?!", lol. But overall, I am more curious about the full list of Changes (the Add-Ons are missing), because I played Billy a lot recently.

Why are people so obsessed with Ultra Rare add-ons? Your desire for ultra rares just because is kind of weird.
I'm with @DwightOP . Idc about the rarities as long as his add-ons are well balanced / potentially interesting and sensible.

The Billy changes were asked for quite frequently through out the years. It was obvious that this would happen when chainsaw get focused.

Ah bruh. I have more than enough faith that they'll actually rework his ultra-rares as well as his others of lower rarities into viable and useful add-ons before it makes it to live build. I'm a tad frustrated that this was the content we were given to even consider making it into the game, sure, but I'll wait 'til we actually see what does and doesn't make it to the live build before getting legitimately vexed about it.
As previously mentioned, everything is subject to change in the PTB, and compared to previous PTB's in the past, this one has definitely seen much lively and heated discussion. It would be a poor move on BHVR's part to not do anything, and I think they're better than that, they know they're better than that, and there is some kind of happy medium to be discovered here. Even if it's not completely happy for one side or the other, there's something better out there in the realm of creativity than what we are seeing right now.

Were is your "faith" coming from? Probably not from the past actions of BHVR right? Because let me remind you: nurse ultra rare addons were trash in PTB, were still trash on live release and up to this day still trash and never reworked.
I really want to know what your reasons to believe that are.

I... can't quite answer that to be totally honest. After four years of playing a lot of people get jaded, burnt out, tired of it all. Not me I guess, I'm still just as lively and hopeful a fire as when I first started, just a lot more experienced and understanding now I suppose. So I guess you could say that faith comes from some weird sense of perseverance
I mean, am I wrong to think that despite all the mistakes that have been made in the process of developing this game that they've still done a pretty good job so far? From a practical point of view the more mistakes the better, because that's how they learn and grow, how they figure out what works and what doesn't, and creates a more solid and clear view of a foundation of experience to build off of that makes the project better and more refined.
A lot of times balance doesn't even come from a pure and perfect state of being. Often for many multiplayer titles they may never be able to attain that pure balance, that perfect version of the game where everything works and flows together entirely smoothly. Rather, balance comes from the constant see-saw motion that comes from the decisions being made, the constant teetering of back and forth movement that favors one side and the other. This thing and the next. I don't know, it's somehow a comforting thought.
Honestly that's probably not an answer, certainly not the one you were looking for. I bet you probably expected me to cite the good decisions they've made in the past like the great Freddy rework, or the Doctor rework, hell even the Ruin nerf was decently successful, etc. other things like that. Maybe I should've mentioned that stuff.

I don't know what you're laughing about, my post reflected my thoughts at the time prior to the release of the PTB.
To be frank I don't believe any conclusive thoughts about the new changes have been finalized either, and I'm talking about actual reflective thought and extended testing- not knee jerk reactions. Outside of the fact that the add-ons are undeniably trash.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying bhvr is always doing bad. The thing is tho, once they have done something they most likely won't change it. Be it a good change (doctor for example) or a bad change (nurse for example). To often they just leave it as it is and EVENTUALLY tweak a few numbers and that's it. That's my issue with bhvr and my non optimistic view on it

well the nerfed him into the ground his iri add ons are hot garbage most purples and greens just try to synergise with his perks that arent that great, like lopro chains is literally and iridescent speed limiter, chainsawing through pallets will never work at all plus you can no longer instadown

If they have the same amount you should find it is easy to deduce that spirit and freddy are more pressing issues since they are not even that long in the game when the amount is equal thus more people complain in order to make up for the years. We i would interpret that as the community.

Exactly. I was always wishing that they would change the Tinkerer back or so as it was and is almost of no use with a "85% progression warning" or so, but, we all see what BE finally does now. I cant agree more with u.

Half of Billy's new addons are terrible or near useless and Billy is ruined as if your good you might get 3 chainsaws in and the ptb is there to test him so he has been played and just like the nurse they're going to leave him that way and never fix him

I can guarantee you that if you polled the community, way more people would say that mori's and keys are a more pressing issue than a Billy nerf.
I've been on this forum for about 4 months now and can confidently say I've seen way more threads about changing moris and keys than asking for a Billy nerf.
Billy in most people's eyes, even including the Dev's was "in a good spot", so why even have to change him at all??
Mori's and keys are extremely outdated and provide an advantage simply by bringing them into the game, not to mention how unfun it is to face someone who mori's everyone first hook, or for a game just to end abruptly because they happened to have an item.
