Whats the point of the hemmorhage status effect?
Ive been playing killer for a while and this always confused me but its always used on higher tier addons like literally one of phs purples just for it. For ph though its kinda useless since survivors already have a slight trail right? And the fact that sometimes blood still isnt visible. Am i missing something?

Hemorrhage just makes survivors bleed more. Leaves more puddles on the ground and they last longer so it's easier for you to track injured survivors. When mixed with sloppy butcher and blood hound it's damn near impossible to lose someone whose injured. Unless they have perks which hide blood.

Yeah but on killers like ph? I mean...i guess?

It makes it easier to track injured Survivors, but it's such a minor benefit for its cost that it is not worth using except in the instance of Sloppy Butcher due to it also inflicting Mangled.

Soooooo, it looks like outside combining it with Bloodhound is the only real way to get any sort of use out of it. I've run Sloppy on several killers, and versed it countless times as a survivor.
I don't notice any difference from Haemorrhage in the slightest. Mangled is just a better status effect.

Unfortunately some killers have add ons that out right suck or don't serve them much purpose. In PH's case I get the feeling the devs were just throwing stuff in there so they could say he had plenty of add ons.

It's there to live in the shadow of mangled, its bigger brother.

It's one of those things the devs tack onto addons when they can't think of something else. The fact that it's a purple addon for pyramid head is laughable. At best it should be a brown addon, but in reality it shouldn't exist. Mangled and Hemorrhage should be combined into one status effect.

It exists solely to fill add on slots when the devs run out of ideas.

"Tracking tool" and:

It's a near useless status effect for anyone past rank 15. Seriously needs a revamp.
Just needs the Bloodhound effect baked into Hemorrhage. Then change Bloodhound to show blood auras at a very short range.
Boom. Fixed.

the point is to have something incredibly weak that no killer utilizes so the survivors dont have a chance to not have fun. This game is all about survivor fun and if hemmorage was stronger, it would impede on that

I assumed hemmorage worked well with oni. Does it not help with orbs?

The devs still think it's a good debuff for some reason. That's why we get those useless purple add-ons.

Nope just like if you run no mither blood orbs still spawn ownis blood orb does not run on the fact you are bleeding or not or if your bleeding faster.

The point is, the devs are extremely bad at their jobs and it's almost entirely worthless. It gives tiny value to Bloodhound, a bad perk, and makes it slightly easier to track with. But it's straight awful, like most of the design decisions.

Honestly hemorrhage is one of the worst status effects in the game along with blindness but the blindness at least has more general usage granted that's not saying much considering hemorrhage only has one good thing about it.
Honestly hemorrhage only really shines when combined with bloodhound outside of that it's pretty useless and even then with bloodhound it's not all too good as you are sacrificing two perks for situational tracking.

Originally finding survivors was the main issue and killers were feared enough so everyone hid.
As people learned the game looping became the suggested play
and then the game flooded with aura reading and information perks making the "tracking" pointless.
It took the game from jumpscare horror to tag simulation
