High Ping screws survivors?
I usually play Killer at Green but can go up to Purple. Recently some survivors have trash talked me for having high ping (200ms - 300ms). I simply can't lobby dodge anymore even with high ping because wait times have reached 5 min and can go up to 10min (and I play PC) ever since PH came out.
What I found out was I usually score a hit when the survivor tries to throw the pallet, sometimes unfairly (purple and red ranks complain about this a lot). Flashlight blinds take longer or delayed but will still proc even if you dodged the first few seconds. Plague, deathslinger, and other projectile killers are really bad on high ping, Plague's puke have wonky hitbox despite being shot puking point blank.

Ping depend on which server you get. You can live in Canada and you will get a server in Brazil so its not your fault but behavior fault

I live in Indonesia and I get matched with Russian survivors? And sometimes, Koreans, Japanese but most of the time I can't tell due to the letters being all boxes

Not entirely, though those two factors do come in play it could he entirely the fault of his internet.
Or hell, it could be both.

I think, in its current state, hit registration is on the killer side (that was supposed to be fixed on PTB, but it was broken af). So if your ping is high, when players are 10 meters ahead of you (because they have 30ms ping) but your game is lagging behind because of your 200ms ping - yes, it does end up screwing the survivor.

I have wired on PC, the ISP here just plain sucks.

Yes the killer's ping does have a pretty large effect on the game for Survivor, they will get hit when they are around corners on their screen etc, and hit through windows and pallets when really in their game they've cleared them easily.
We were unable to test the Server Hit Validation on the PTB due to some issues, but when this does go live it will change things and it will then end up only the people who do have bad ping themselves (sorry if you have bad internet), it's a way to make it more fair on everyone.
