I will always tunnel Object of Obsessions out of the game.

You pretty much fall into the object hand if you do so. You should go for the worst survivor first and tunnel him instead. Now its 3v1 you have a better chance to pressure them. Many object players know atleast the basics of good mindgames and looping, tunneling them will just be a waste of time

Most OoO users are just toxic. I'm rank 1 surv/killer and in the last time i get objects with their sweaty genrush swf, sometimes i get pissed off and i tunnel them out of the game and still win, sometimes i end up depiping, but also i depip the object, 1 for 1.
I don't like objects, if you play with swf the killer doesn't have a chance, especially in maps like Ormond / Farm or Blood lodge.
2 -
I always tunnel OoO users even at the cost of winning the trial. That perk is beyond overpowered and honestly the only perk in the game I would consider total bullsh1t. You run that perk and you will not escape, period.
4 -
I'm not looking to win if there's an OoS, I just know in my experience that SWFs also tend to build around the OoS. Every game I've had so far they seem to fall apart when the obsession dies.
1 -
Anyone who runs object is basically wearing a sign on their head saying "tunnel me". I find that perk extremely douchey and I will always tunnel someone who uses object.
1 -
I'm always thinking the OoO must be their best looper so I tunnel another player instead, if I tunnel. There is no answer on what tactics always is the best against SWF teams but I usually just ignore the OoO.
1 -
I think the best way is to ignore OoO user as long as possible as they WANT to get chased. If they follow you araund if you find another survivor, now you are keeping two survivors minimum off the generators. But i must admit i always play equally toxic to survivors when there are OoO- t bagger in the game. I will just soft camp and tunnel the first survivor out who has been hooked, eat their DS if necessary.
3 -
You won't know until you try. If you waste 30-45 seconds on a chase and they're not endlessly dropping all the pallets, then yeah it's probably time to leave.
1 -
people with OoO love being tunneled for killer interaction all game. They dont give a ######### about escaping. So, really, you're only ruining your own experience.
1 -
Who said I was ruining my own experience? Other than you, I mean. Because I do it out of my own free will and already stated that I don't play to win in those games. I play to remove the obsession.
1 -
I’m sorry that the adept achievements requires me to use a perk.
0 -
I don't care why you're running it, to be 100%. OoS needs to go. No one is making you go for achievements or tome challenges, just like no one is making you pick OoS before you lock in.
Just like no one is making me tunnel you for using it.
1 -
Awww someone sounds like there abit butt hurt from past experiences;
0 -
I mean, you're the one coming at me. js.
1 -
Hm, it is probably the plan to get tunneled with OoO. When i use this perk, i normally play with friends and my main goal is to give information or run the killer as long as possible.

:/ Jesus Christ,
0 -
Yeah, i was too when i had to get it. But such is life
2 -
If you're not throwing pallets I shift gears into just focusing you as reasonably possible. I don't try to waste my game time, but I do approach situations intending to target "you." Unhooking? Whack. 3man gen? Whack. being healed? *bing bong* whack when react. Being body blocked? I'll just stealth to speed around the escort and approach sometime after.
If the initial chase is fruitful I may let one or two gens slip then camp you on the hook. I frankly don't care how rude it is I don't want xray vision on me, and I can do something about it.
2 -
THis is my tactic for the msot part too, I try to ignore them and aatch them out of position when they follow you. Be patient and they come to you.
0 -
I don't want to ignore them if I can hit them. I'm not interested in them just telling their SWF buddies/their discord call/their private voice party on console what I'm doing.
1 -
I meant more like when they are across map teabagging you with aura, I would not walk across map to chase them is my point, in fact, my post meant exactly that, if you catch them out of position near you, hit them, down them, and proxy them out ;)

IMO, as a hard Wraith main I think I have some luxury here on time, since I can literally build for up to 190% move speed, especially if the OoS keeps escaping. Play with your Food is actually nuts
1 -
Good luck with that if they throw on Mary’s letter lol

I'm not going to try to change your mind, but I will tell you this:
Lately it feels like almost every other game I end up the object of obsession - do I have it on? No. Do I have anything on that would cause it? No.
And yes, I end up the one tunnelled for it.
One of my teammates is the culprit, and it's usually DS. Those same teammates will not go save someone off a hook until the last second, or not at all.
The killers come after me with a vengeance and it's a rotten game for me 90% of the time. Do I blame the killers? No. It is what it is.
I'm at the stage now that the moment I see I'm the object - I no longer care. I will run around the map in stupid directions and if you chase me it will be a free hook for you. Yes, I stop and just let you hook me and die as there is no point for me being in the game.
To be clear, I don't suicide but I literally will try my luck freeing myself and we all know how that's going to end.
It's very disheartening.

"I don't suicide, i accelerate my death."

Pretty much an accurate description, and quite succinct.

Also, am I mistaken? I could have sworn the way OoS worked was you had to equip it, and still luck out to be the obsession. You're not guaranteed.
1 -
I feel like I speak for most object users when I say...good. I mean, I don't run object because I want to stealth around and do gens. If you want to waste your entire game trying to catch me then go for it. Whatever makes you have fun.

Yes BUT it can be trumped by other perks and things like DS anyone can end up the obsession and you'll see their aura but they won't see you as the killer.
OoO:
" supernatural bond links you to the Killer.
If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other.
This effect applies only if you are outside of the Killer's Terror Radius.
As the Killer's Obsession, this effect applies to a maximum range of several metres. Otherwise, it applies to a maximum range of several metres.
Increases the odds of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time."
Note the line about Increases the chance.
Here is DS:
"Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.
After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds.
While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check
to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.
- Succeeding or failing the Skill Check will disable Decisive Strike.
- Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.
Increases the odds of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time."
The obsession in not guaranteed by either. Things trump it and it moves around to other players. While the player not wearing it won't get any benefit of the perk - they end up being the obsession.
I might be off a bit (but close enough) as I'm new to the game and still learning how things play together.
Obsession when I have nothing on to cause it = tunnelled = dead. This is what I know.
Please go kill the person with DS or something that would cause the innocent bystanders to suffer.. Thank you. ;-)

Ok, I thought you meant you thought being the obsession meant OoS landed on you somehow. lmao I was like wut
Also, I don't tunnel people just because they're the obsession. I only tunnel them if I can see they're clearly using OoS by going in and out for reasons I'm not controlling. If you're clearly out of range for All Seeing (assuming I'm running that) and not healing, you're likely OoSing me and need to leave.

Sorry. I know the post was about OoO itself as a perk but I wanted to point out that sometimes the Object isn't wearing anything but gets marked by the killer as if they are. I think not every killer may know what you know. Please educate them. :-D
Thank you for not tunneling the innocent ones. I wish more killers would realise that as boy it stinks.
Feel free to kill all the DS people and the OoO people. (Unless they are being good teammates - then maybe only hurt them a bit.)
*Stamps of approval*

My favorite is blowing DS asap. Unless I know you running WILL get me screwed, I'll absolutely pick people up immediately after unhook to get rid of it lmao now it's just a wasted perk slot.
1 -
Thanks fam, but I got answers there too :> body block for days~
0 -
I mean if they have that map with object unless you are a stealth killer or something like spirit maybe they will easily hold w and win
0 -
Exactly. Sometimes they just get close enough i make them waste close by pallet and move back to the other survivor. When i catch the first survivor i always soft camp so i give them the illusion that it's worth coming back to save and also keep pressure on the close by generators. If you start facecamping the first survivor you get, smart survivors will let him hang on the hook 1 minute 50 seconds until they hook trade with him while the person saved gets BT and DS.

I hard main Wraith. ~160% move speed (~190% in optimum conditions) makes it not that big of a deal tbh.
